Chapter 27: Sunset Forest, Second Uncle Jade Robe.

Yu Zhentian frowned, his eyes filled with exasperated anger as he stared at Yu Xiaolie opposite him, his anger barely contained, and asked:

"Are you really going to refuse to go to Thunder Academy? If you don't study, what will you do in the future?"

He just couldn't understand why this son of a bitch wouldn't cherish such a golden opportunity that was presented to him.

"I want to stay in the sect. If possible, I would like to go on missions with Second Master to improve myself."

Yu Xiaolie sat there, nodding firmly as before.

Upon hearing this, Yu Zhentian's face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot.

He was even more disdainful. Yu Xiaolie's mutated martial soul only had an innate soul power of 0.2, which he thought was utterly hopeless.

If it weren't for the fact that this was his own grandson, he wouldn't have bothered to fight for a spot at Thunder Academy.

Yu Xiaolie could tell what Yu Zhentian was thinking just by looking at his expression.

"I know my soul power is low, so I need to improve it quickly in actual combat."

Yu Xiaolie frowned and said with utmost seriousness.

Yu Zhentian looked at Yu Xiaolie and sneered inwardly, "Improvement through actual combat?"

That's utterly delusional!

With Yu Xiaolie's aptitude, he might not even be able to save his life if he went out on a mission, let alone improve.

"You're wasting your opportunity!"

Yu Zhentian slammed his hand on the table, causing everything inside the carriage to shake.

"What kind of place is Thunder Academy? With your soul power level and martial soul aptitude, you wouldn't even be able to get in. Now that you've been given a chance, you've already been selected!"

Veins bulged on his forehead, his face was full of anger, and he bombarded the air with sarcastic remarks.

"A mission? With your level 12?"

"Going on a mission with Second Master, do you know how dangerous it is? You might go but not come back alive, and you'll be a burden to Second Master!"

"You think you can fight against a Soul Master just because you have good fighting skills? You're just being arrogant."

His voice rose, echoing in the cramped carriage, making Yu Xiaolie and the others' ears ache.

Yu Xiaolie felt a surge of displeasure after hearing this.

He muttered to himself: "Isn't it you, old man, who's so self-righteous?"

"I think my focus should be on quickly increasing my soul power level!"

He tried to keep his tone steady, but his clenched fists betrayed his inner dissatisfaction.

In fact, Thunder Academy is not the best academy in the Heaven Dou Empire. In terms of true strength, the Heaven Dou Royal Academy should be ranked first. This is why the family tried every means to send Yu Tianheng to this academy later on.

Thunder Academy is good, but for someone like Yu Xiaolie, going there would be a waste of time.

Yu Zhentian seemed to have heard the biggest joke in the world, and the muscles on his face twitched slightly with anger.

What do you think?

"You're just a greenhorn, what do you know about cultivation methods? You're simply deluding yourself and stubbornly clinging to your misconceptions!"

He repeated through gritted teeth, his voice so low it sounded like it was being squeezed out from between his teeth.

Listening to the heated argument between Yu Zhentian and Yu Xiaolie, Yu Xiaogang and Yu Xiaozhen secretly exchanged a glance.

His eyes were full of trepidation, and he didn't dare to make a sound, even unconsciously softening his breathing.

Yu Xiaozhen subconsciously shrank his neck, as if afraid of being affected by the tense atmosphere.

He secretly marveled at Yu Xiaolie: Second brother is really fierce, and grandpa is quite daring.

"Xiao Lie, Grandpa is right. In terms of our innate soul power, Thunder Academy is indeed a better choice for us."

Yu Xiaogang thought for a moment and cleared his throat.

As he spoke, he cautiously observed Yu Zhentian's expression out of the corner of his eye, trying to act as a peacemaker in this dispute.

Upon hearing this, Yu Xiaolie merely glanced at his cheap older brother, a hint of barely perceptible annoyance flashing in his eyes.

He couldn't be bothered to reply to Yu Xiaogang.

"Grandpa, don't try to think that Thunder Academy can change anything for me."

Yu Xiaolie uttered a sentence that struck a chord with Yu Zhentian.

Inside the carriage, the noisy argument that had just taken place suddenly ceased, leaving only the creaking sound of the wheels rolling on the ground.

Yu Zhentian leaned against the car wall, his arms crossed, looking at Yu Xiaolie with his brows furrowed into a deep frown, and fell silent.

The sect's best training resources should rightfully be prioritized for Yu Xiaozhen.

After all, the teaching staff of sects are mostly designed for lightning-attribute martial souls, especially Tyrannosaurus Rex martial souls.

The sect has devoted a great deal of effort to cultivating individuals who are a good fit for these resources.

If we were to reallocate resources for Yu Xiaolie's mutated Luo Sanpao martial soul, how much effort would it take?

From the perspective of the sect's development, sending two grandsons to Thunder Academy is undoubtedly the best choice.

This way, it wouldn't take up the sect's already strained resources, and it would still allow them to complete their education and training, thus fulfilling the responsibility of being a grandfather.

If Xiao Lie insists on staying in the sect, how can the family have the mind to cultivate him?

Thinking of this, Yu Zhentian sat up straight, looked at Yu Xiaolie, and his tone showed a rare patience.

"Xiao Lie, Grandpa is doing this all for your own good."

"Grandpa, my mind is made up, I'm not going! Even if I did go, I would skip class."

Yu Xiaolie remained stubborn, clenching his fists and speaking firmly.

Yu Zhentian's patience vanished instantly, replaced by anger.

The sect leader, who was once so respected that no one in the sect dared to disobey his orders, was now being humiliated by this brat.

Given his volatile temper, it's already quite surprising that he's managed to hold back until now.

Anger spread wildly in the confined space.

Yu Zhentian's temper finally spiraled out of control. With a roar, his powerful soul pressure erupted, and he charged straight at Yu Xiaolie.

The overwhelming pressure of the soul swept in, instantly filling the entire carriage. Yu Xiaogang and Yu Xiaozhen were unable to dodge in time and were also severely affected by this force.

The two men turned deathly pale instantly, their bodies pressed tightly against the carriage wall by the shock.

Upon seeing this, Yu Xiaolie's heart tightened. Without thinking, he quickly mobilized all his soul power to resist.

However, Yu Zhentian's soul pressure was too powerful.

Unable to withstand it at all, Yu Xiaolie was thrown backward by the shock, breaking through the carriage and crashing into the dust outside.

"Bang!"

With a muffled thud, Yu Xiaolie landed, raising a cloud of dust.

The loud noise jolted the entire convoy, which then came to an abrupt stop.

Everyone panicked and jumped out of the car to check the situation.

People quickly gathered around, gripping their weapons tightly, and warily surveyed their surroundings, only to discover that the source of the chaos was the grandfather and grandson inside the car.

The crowd looked at each other, their eyes filled with doubt and worry, but no one dared to step forward and ask what had happened.

Yu Yuanhai also got out of the car to check the situation.

Yu Xiaolie swayed as he slowly stood up from the ground.

He raised his hand and wiped the corner of his mouth, the bright red blood spreading on his fingertip.

He raised his head, his gaze passing straight through the broken window of the carriage, meeting Yu Zhentian's eyes inside.

His gaze was resolute, as if declaring to Yu Zhentian that he would never compromise in this dispute.

"My thinking will not change."

Yu Xiaolie's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable resolve.

After saying that, he didn't linger, turned around and walked away.

Yu Yuanhai stood aside and witnessed everything, his whole body seemingly frozen in place.

He looked at Yu Xiaolie's receding figure, then at Yu Zhentian, who was furious inside the car, and was at a loss for what to do.

Yu Zhentian's chest heaved violently, and veins bulged on his forehead.

Seeing Yu Yuanhai standing there in a daze, he shouted at the top of his lungs.

"What are you looking at? Hurry up and follow us, or you'll die out there!"

The roar echoed in the air, startling the surrounding horses into pawing the ground, and the accompanying guards lowered their heads in fear, not daring to breathe.
