Rin's eyes widen as he is suddenly frozen in place. He tries to zip away, but he is completely frozen in time.
Kazu bolts in front of him, grabs Rin by the face, and, with tremendous force, tosses him into the air.
He then bursts into the air and kicks him back to the ground with blitzing speed. With Rin frozen, he can neither speak nor wince at the impact.
[HOLY ENERGY DEPLETION.]
Rin's electric currents suddenly fade and Kazu dashes towards the grounded Rin before throwing a barrage of punches infused with execrational power.
[GET CRU—]
Before Kazu can finish his command, his blindfold gets placed on his face again, meaning his cursed state is no longer active.
Rin unfreezes and he lets out a pained gasp for air as he coughs up a bit of blood.
"WOW! You sure do hit hard… It's a shame that was only thirty seconds' worth." Rin chuckled, wiping blood from his lip.
Kazu exhaled, trying to catch his breath. He tried to find his pack of cigarettes to restore his sanity after the amount of execrational power he had released, but he noticed that they were smashed in his vest.
"Damn… I feel like I'm going to lose it…" Kazu grumbled.
Rin tilts his head in confusion. "What is it? Don't tell me you're giving up already!"
One thing no one knows about Kazu and his cigarettes is that every time his cursed side slowly takes over, he needs to take a cigarette to restore his sanity. It has always been a comfort for him and without him, he would've lost himself a long time ago.
"Cigarettes… I need my cigarettes… To keep composure…" Kazu muttered.
Rin looks even more confused before grinning, "You know those things are bad for you right? No wonder why you look so drained now; you keep smoking like a chimney!" Rin chuckled.
He then teleports in front of Kazu, placing an electrified fist to his gut.
"If you give up now, I'll make sure your death won't be in vain." He remarks.
Kazu doesn't even try to fight back; he just stands there as he slowly becomes cursed. Suddenly Shaba speaks up from within Kazu.
"Let it happen, Kazu. If he kills you now, you can go to the acceptance and we can notify the Priest about Rin's behavior." Shaba planned.
Kazu let out a deep breath, thinking about Shaba's words. No matter how they look at it, Kazu still loses.
"I was never afraid of death…" Kazu weakly stated.
Suddenly, he began getting memories of Aiko and the others.
"I was only afraid… of 'them' getting hurt because of my stupid decisions."
Kazu slowly looked up at Rin, lifting one part of his blindfold. He can't see him clearly due to his blindness, but his silhouette is one he can never forget.
"Do what you need to. I'm ready." Kazu declared.
Rin shows no emotion, his electrified fist still resting on Kazu's gut.
"When you get to the acceptance… Try to enjoy your time there."

Crackle…
BLASHHHH!
The night finally falls silent after 27 minutes of fighting.
Kazu stands motionless… With Rin's fist going through the other side of his gut.
"Rest easy, Kazu Hidemi," Rin said softly while zipping away.
