Chapter 115 - Family Time (Part 3)

Family Time (Part 3)

—Gaby

"Hnnnnnnnngh—???"

"Oh you awake?" The other me's voice was the first one I heard,

"Hm-?"

"You fell asleep in my lap" She said, I could feel her hand stroking my hand and hair slowly

"Hnnngh…"

"Did you have a dream?"

"Yeah."

"That so"

Stroke Stroke

"Anyways, Bronya so right, I thought it would be cool if you added them in that new game you're going to make"

"I'll let the others know," Though my eyes still closed, I could hear Bronya talking to her enthusiastically, and a smell.

"You guys drinking tea?"

"Yeah"

Sipppp

"Want some? It's Oolong Tea" The other me asked.

"I'll pass," I said as I tried to hug the other me's waist, it felt surprisingly comfortable to hug,

"What bout you Klein? You think it's a good idea to?"

"It's a surprisingly good idea, I'm honestly shock you can even think of something like that"

"Klein…"

Sipppppp

"As long as everyone consented I think it doesn't matter" I could hear Acheron's voice all of a sudden, curiosity then filled me, how many people are they drinking with right now…

WAIT DOESN'T THAT MEAN WE'RE IN PUBLIC?

WHOOSH

"Why'd you suddenly bounce like that?" The other me spoke, but that wasn't the main issue, as I look at my surroundings, I could see… Bronya, The Other Me, Klein.. Shiro… Herta… Ray… Aurelion…. Cael…

RAY ??

CAEL???

VIRETH????

"Hnnnn…"

Stroke Stroke

"What's gotten into you all of a sudden-??"

/// . ///

Snap

"Ah—?" Suddenly I felt myself in the air for just a second before.

Thud

I was now at her lap. sitting upright…

"Anyways, I think—"

—Much Much Later…

Step Step Step

"And then she just teleported me like that… I was so embarassed… Vireth Cael and the others were there to…"

"Pffft" I could hear Evelyn's laughter already..

"Maybe she just doesn't care?" Firefly said as she drank her hot cocoa.

"Kiana-san is very… unpredictable after all" Mahiru continued as she gave a wry smile

"She just cares for you a lot"

"but sis… isn't that like really embarassing"

"Nicole's not wrong you know, but as long as it's cute right?" Evelyn…

"So…. why the hell am I here?"

Glance

"…"

"Because your glued to Mahiru?"

"…" Amane could only nod slowly…

"Anyways? Where should we go to?"

"It's already dark anyways, Unless…"

"You want to go to space like right now?" Bronya looked at us with a dead panned expression

"Yeahhhh :D"

"…"

"Pleaseeee—? "

"Sure." And the one who answered? was Klein Moretti Himself, thus causing a certain Bronya too…

Sighhhh

"Fine."

[Hehe thanks Klein~] I said while giving him a wink

"I'm gonna get killed by Kiana"

"Alright I'm gonna do my work here then"

[You know Bronya sometimes I wonder]

"yeah?"

[I thought you since you have your Herrscher powers, shouldn't you like, I dunno get some new sets of clothes?]

"Ehhhh… I mean I can if I want to,"

[Then why don't you?]

"Too much effort."

???

Where were we you may ask? That's right, we're at the moon, just, well enjoying our time here

[Also Firefly why're you using the SAM suit instead?]

[I just feel like it] A mechanically cold voice instead of her usual voice, well that doesn't matter, on the other hand this place.. it was quite peaceful to say the least, just the moon, and the big beautiful blue earth and—

[The stars are really beautiful, just like you Mahiru.]

[Amane-kun…]

These people do know we can hear them right?

[Flirts]

Nod Nod

[Gaby??? Nicole???]

"We can hear you you know?" Klein spoke up

[Ah.]

/// . ///

It was obvious that these 2 lovey dovey couples were blushing really hard…

[Klein, you should get Cael to come here to] Evelyn then spoke only to be met with—

"I believe he wouldn't find this enjoyable"

Ah right, so what happened was, basically Klein agreed thus Bronya gave up before she made these pretty high tech looking space suits, well kinda yeah, they were pretty cool looking, a mix of white and black patterns along with blue lights.

"Don't stray too far from me, if you do it might not receive enough Honkai energy and just well…"

[That statement is in no way reassuring.] Amane was the first to spoke up

"Well yes but it's the truth, Klein can probably extend it infinitely using his 'Fool' and 'Error' though, besides there's almost no way you'd get lost, he can just find you and yeah"

Sipppp

To that Klein only sipped his tea while sitting in a chair—Wait how is he sipping tea in space-???

Sippppp

This crazy man.

—Bronya

[Well, we're off now, byeeee]

"Careful now, don't get lostttt" As I said those words, yet all 5 of them had already disappeared who knows where.

"You did already used your powers right?"

"Of course I did" Klein Moretti said calmly "If anything happens to them, Kiana's going to kill me."

Shiver

"Well, it should be fine right?"

"…"

"Klein?"

"Cael's wife seems to have some quite… interesting thoughts." he said while sipping his tea nonchalantly.

???

—Evelyn

"By the way can you show me it being made in slow motion?" I asked Bronya

"Why?"

"I'm just curious" For a while she stood motionless for a few seconds before nodding, and the moment she that's when the 'magic' well I guess 'Science' happened

She didn't even stand up.

VHOOOMM

A soft hum filled the air as particles of bluish light began gathering around hand—tiny, shimmering cubes that seemed to appear out of thin air then after what felt like a couple of seconds she moved her hand, and with it, so did those particles.

FWSHHHHHH

The particles wrapped around my leg before I couldn't even flinch, It wasn't painful—not even uncomfortable. It felt like stepping into a warm mist, like being wrapped in something that was almost liquid but not quite.

As I looked down, I could see how the particles were clinging to my skin building something particle by particle. It didn't take long for me to realize what it was building.

A Space Suit

Layer by Layer.

It started with an inner layer, it looked white and felt—Soft? It felt surprisingly cold, not freezing cold, just comfortable cold, like when you're in a room with an AC set at 72 Fahrenheit (22 Celsius) and had been left on for a while, that kind of comfortable coldness.

Then—The Particles changed.

I watched as the particles shifted from their soft, almost gentle dance into something more deliberate. The inner layer was done—soft, white, cool against my skin like a comfortable room. But now the particles moved differently. Tighter. More focused.

The middle layer began forming slowly, and I could feel the difference immediately.

It was firmer.

Not rigid—not like armor—but dense. The particles were packing together more tightly now, creating something with substance. When I pressed my fingers against my arm, the material resisted slightly before yielding, like pressing into firm memory foam.

The color shifted too. The pristine white of the inner layer was being covered by something darker—a deep charcoal gray, almost black, with a subtle sheen that caught the light. Not shiny like metal, but smooth, like polished rubber.

HUMMMMMMMMMMM—Click Click Click

As it was made, it sounded absolutely different, like a puzzle being clicked into place, at least that's how it felt like, Oh but there was one thing I'd notice. The cold that felt breezy from before? Now it felt trapped. Insulated.

As the charcoal-gray material crept up my arms, it sealed off the inner layer from the open air. The cooling sensation didn't disappear—I could still feel it against my skin—but it was contained now. Trapped, acting like a thermos I guess? Keeping whatever's inside warm or cold.

I tried to touch the layer with my finger. It was a strange sensation. My skin still felt the inner layer's cool touch, but the surface of my skin—where the layers met—began to warm slightly. Not uncomfortably. Just Hmmm… If I had to describe it.

Imagine wrapping a slightly damp, cool towel around your arm. Then imagine someone carefully wrapping a firm, smooth bandage over that towel—not tight enough to hurt, but snug enough to hold everything in place.

The towel against your skin stays cool. You can still feel it. But the bandage creates a seal, trapping that coolness against you while also shielding it from the outside air.

Well but it's your whole body. but eh—Minor details :3

I couldn't feel the outer layer forming the way I'd felt the others. By that point, my skin was already sealed away—the inner layer soft against me, the middle layer firm and protective. The outer layer was being built on top of everything, and I could only watch as it took shape.

Clack Clack Clack

The color shifted from the charcoal gray to a brilliant white—so clean it almost glowed under the moonlight. Black panels formed along the seams, the joints, the places where movement would be needed.

And threaded through it all, thin lines of soft blue light began to pulse gently, So we can find each other? Probably.

I couldn't feel the weight of it. Not really. The middle layer was already holding everything, and the outer layer just... rested on top. But I could see the difference it made—the way the suit went from something that looked like clothing to something that looked like equipment.

The chest panel materialized next—a rectangular plate that settled against my chest with a soft click. Physical buttons. . A small display screen. A knob for oxygen flow. Manual controls, I realized. Backup systems.

But I couldn't read the display from this angle. Not without tilting my head down awkwardly, well the helmet wasn't even made yet. and then the particles shifted again, moving toward my left forearm. This time, I watched more closely.

As it gathered in a thin band around my wrist, weaving together into something that looked almost like a high-tech bracer—sleek, black, with a slim touchscreen embedded in the surface.

Click.

It sealed into place against the suit's outer layer, integrating so smoothly that it looked like it had always been there.

I raised my arm out of curiosity

The wrist display was exactly where I'd want it—just above my left hand, angled slightly toward my face. When I bent my elbow, it naturally positioned itself in my line of sight. When I let my arm drop, it stayed out of the way.

I tapped the screen with my finger. The display flickered to life, showing a simplified map with five blinking dots clustered together. A moment later, text appeared beside each dot.

GABY. AMANE. MAHIRU. NICOLE. EVELYN.

A navigation display. Probably also communication, diagnostics, and other detailed functions.

This was the interactive layer, I thought. The HUD for essentials, the wrist for details.

HUMMMMM

And next was the neck ring

The particles gathered at my throat, weaving together into a solid collar of black material that wrapped around the base of my neck. It was snug—not choking, but present. I could feel it against my skin

When I swallowed, I could feel the collar move with me. It didn't restrict my breathing or my movement. It just... sat there. Waiting. For the Helmet obviously. But before that, the gloves were first as they slipped over my fingers like a second skin

With just enough substance to remind me they were there. Not thick. Not bulky. Slim.

I flexed my finger. The material stretched smoothly at each joint, following my movements without resistance.

The palm had a subtle grip texture—not sticky, just tacky enough to hold onto things. The fingertips were slightly thinner, allowing for precision. When I pressed my thumb against my index finger, I could feel the pressure through the material.

This is really high tech eh?

Instinctively i tried to play with the wrist display, it responded perfectly when I tapped it. The touchscreen registered my gloved finger without hesitation.

Even better. Touchscreen-compatible.

The helmet materialized from a compartment at the back of the neck ring. I felt it before I saw it—a subtle shift as something unfolded from the collar, curving upward and over my head. The process was smooth, almost organic, like a flower blooming in reverse.

Shhhhlick—CLICK.

The helmet settled into place with a satisfying click, connecting to the neck ring with a series of tiny locks engaging all around the collar. I heard them more than felt them—a rapid series of clk-clk-clk-clk-clk sounds as the seal completed.

I felt a brief moment of tightness as the suit sealed completely, the pressure inside stabilizing. My ears popped slightly—the same sensation as diving, just in reverse.

The visor flickered once, then lit up with a soft blue glow.

[SUIT INTEGRITY: STABLE]

[COMMUNICATION: ONLINE]

[OXYGEN RECYCLER: ACTIVE]

[CURRENT LOCATION: EARTH]

The HUD was... clean. Not cluttered. Just the essentials, floating in the corner of my eye like it was always there, on the top left it showed the oxygen percentage, the top right, the suits integrity, on the bottom left communication status and the bottom right a small map

Hummmmmmm

I could hear the soft humm of the life support pack. The faint static of the comms system, waiting for someone to speak.

Glance

The others were already suited up—five identical white and black figures standing near me, their blue lights pulsing gently. Klein set down his teacup and stood.

"Ready?" We nodded. Bronya was already clicking at her laptop, fingers flying across the keyboard. She didn't even look up.

Klein raised his hand.

FWSHHHHHH.

An illusory door materialized in front of us. Grey fog seeped from its edges, curling around our boots like mist. The door swung open, and beyond it—

Darkness.

Not the darkness of a room with the lights off. Not the darkness of night.

The darkness of space.

I felt my heart skip a beat.

"After you," Klein said, gesturing toward the door.

Gaby went first, stepping through without hesitation. Nicole followed. Amane and Mahiru held hands as they crossed the threshold together.

And then it was my turn.

I took a breath—slow, deliberate—and stepped through.
