We were admiring the scenery, the beautiful ecosystem of this underwater world of the Mariana Trench, it was truly unique, marine life along with countless Remnants.

Each breath felt complete yet my lungs no longer felt satisfied. I could feel it feeling my lungs, but it was like eating food with no taste, like inhaling through narrowed lungs, like my chest expanded but never fully filled

Instinctively I tried to inhale harder, the regulator hissed louder in response, My enhanced senses weren't helping either, if anything it was making it worse, I could feel the exact moment each inhale slightly less than the last.

I glanced at the air supply, it was still there, still at 69%—Wait—Still at 69%? There was the problem, the number hadn't moved, my breathing had worsened yet it still stayed at 69% I could feel myself trying to reach the valve at the back of my neck, yet to no avail.
"H—Ksh. H—Ksh. H—Ksh. H—Ksh. H—Ksh. " I couldn't reach it on my own, no I should've been able to, but my body wouldn't respond the way I'd like it to, this was bad.

The sound of the valve opening could be heard, but it was weak, like it was barely opened, my helmet still fogging, my breathing still ragged as I looked at Eve, her face was like that of a predator.

She was bright red, still gasping for air, still trying to glare me down through her fogged helmet, Oh she's really weak to physical touch by another girl now isn't she—!!!
Suddenly it felt like space warped and concluded, my perception felt unblocked and I didn't even notice a single thing

The sound of the other me struggling to breathe was a rather unique experience, one that I haven't felt in countless eons and could probably never do, I was curious, but it was also quite funny seeing the reaction of the 2.
Evelyn was teasing and playing around with her, opening her valve ever so slightly just enough for her to stay alive but never enough for her to exert herself, to protect herself probably? Gaby is still a Noble Red and she is just a human after all
I could however definitely tell one thing, Evelyn was enjoying this. She was like a diver inspecting a deep sea creature, her gloved fingers occasionally brushing against the side of Gaby's suit

The hissing from her regulator kept cycling louder than before, each inhale sharp and desperate before turning into an unsteady exhale, the funniest thing however was the contrast between the 2
Evelyn looked completely fascinated, eyes sparkling, the other me on the other hand looked so desperate, she looked like she was one step away from short circuiting and somehow despite barely getting enough air
She still kept glaring at Evelyn whenever their eyes met, it would've been intimidating for sure, if not for the fact it was followed by another strained inhale which ruined the intimidation factor.
