Lucan grinned, "So now I am a true adult in Earth's logic, huh? 18!"
His mother laughed, "Oh, Lu is now an adult! But... you are still a kid to me!"
She patted his head gently.
His father said, "Lucan, first of all... can we let others know that you're alive?"
His mother frowned, "Why are you acting so tense right away? Didn't he just come back? Let him have some rest first!"
Lucan laughed internally; it was his first time experiencing his life as a normal human. He strangely enjoyed it without even realizing it.
He smirked, "Mom... Dad's just like me! He is thinking logically. If others knew about my existence and the outer space world, it would become the center of attraction, destroying our peaceful life!"
His sister smirked, "Just like you, huh? Brother, you are just like him! Hehe."
Lucan frowned, "Hehe, you are talking too much! Now shall we decide this based on a fight? Not physical—let's play a game of chess!"
His mother interrupted, "Lu... first let's celebrate your birthday! It's our first celebration!"
Lucan nodded, "Interesting. So humans celebrate every birthday? Noted!"
His father gently smiled as he thought, He is just like how he had described himself earlier! He got used to living a unique type of life.
His sister asked, "What? What do you mean? Wake up, Lucan! Don't think you are in space—you are on Earth!"
He sighed, "Oh... well, you can't blame me, I have gotten used to living like this! Hehe."
Just when everyone walked ahead toward the living room, Lucan alone stood where he was and took a quick turn. He saw the golden butterfly weakly lying down.
He crept down and gently held it in his hand. He grinned, "Don't worry, I will never forget you! My first friend..."
He gently rubbed its golden wings. The butterfly sensed his touch as it winked at him. It felt joyous and full of energy for that one instant before sleeping again. Lucan carefully took it to the living room.
He frowned, "All of you cared about me, but not the golden butterfly, which is the sole reason for our reunion! Hmph!"
He was annoyed because of this. His mother rushed, "Yes, forgive me! How did we all forget it? Give it to me, Lu."
Lucan shook his head, "No! Let me take care of it myself!"
His sister asked, "Did the golden butterfly do something for you? I guess so!"
Lucan smiled warmly as his gaze landed on the golden butterfly. "Something, huh... well, you wouldn't get it! Hehe!"
His eyes shifted past his dad. His dad's eyes moved in return, and he laughed, "Yeah, I know... hahaha! Only the two of us know it..."
His mother and sister dazed in wonder as they started to think of different possibilities of what could have been the reason behind it.
Lucan carried it to a nearby table and placed the golden butterfly down softly. Then, his hands waved as cosmic energy clustered from his fingers.
A golden-yellow sphere was forged from the cosmic energy as it shone with brilliance. The orb started to develop multiple strange symbols around itself with a bright golden-yellow glow.
All three of them watched in amusement.
The golden butterfly started to float around in the orb. It started its slumber... which nobody knows when will come to an end.
Lucan gave a caress to the orb and turned around, "Alright, now let's begin!"
But he noticed all of them staring at him wide-eyed with dropped jaws. Their stunned expressions made him wonder, What did I do so amazing? Eh! Anybody can do it, right? ...Wait! That's the next solar system! I am on Earth in my own solar system. Oh, they are wondering at the cosmic energy?
He spread out his cosmic energy throughout the place. He laughed, "This is called cosmic energy! Even I don't know much about it, nor do the others—we all use it to fight mostly! But... we can literally do anything with cosmic energy!"
His dad asked, "So this is the cosmic energy you mentioned? Wow! It exceeded my expectations!"
His mother screamed in joy, "My son is so cool! Lucan, tell me, have you got a girlfriend yet?"
His sister's attention was deeply etched on Lucan as she thought, Don't tell me... he's got an alien girlfriend!
Lucan instead pondered before saying, "What is a girlfriend?"
His dad laughed, "Hahaha, expected this answer! If you had asked him about space or anything like that, he would have answered it!"
His mother sighed, "Then what about your future?"
Lucan asked, "Yeah, I will go beyond this solar system too! And... I am going to meet the Fate Crystal, which writes the lives of all aliens!"
His mother: "..."
His sister: "..."
He tilted his head, "Huh? Are you both in a daze? Haven't you realized how great my future is? And the Fate Crystal! Imagine meeting it personally! Sigh!"
But his dad asked, "Fate Crystal? Wait, does that mean you were with the Fate Crystal at that time?"
Lucan nodded, "Yeah, remember that lord? He was also there. People surrounded me and said they wanted to join me or something like that... And oh heavens, an alien tried something weird on me... it hugged me and said, 'Lucan, are you all right? Thank goodness! Cute little pie!' Sheesh! Weirdos."
His sister screamed, "You are the weirdo! She loves you and cares for you! You are too dumb, huh?"
His mother nodded, "Lu, you must understand these signs, got it? But she's an alien, so she must look weird! Either way, if it's inhumane, I won't allow her!"
Lucan sighed, went to his father, and sat down. He started to talk about all of his cosmic adventures: his journey, his new powers... moreover, his inner self meeting himself and saving his life.
His dad showed keen interest as he asked a lot of questions.
Lucan's mother felt ignored, "So Dad is your favorite, Lu? Don't you like your mom?"
Lucan grinned, "Yeah, probably! Is something wrong?"
His mother was lost for words, "Lu—"
His dad's face turned pale as he thought, Oh no...
His sister was stunned, "Lucan... you idiot!"
His mother went into shock as she gasped at his reply. Her heart sank to rock bottom as she fell to the ground, feeling dejected. Lucan's dad rushed over and held her.
He shouted at Lucan, "Lucan... you are a fool! So stupid and naive—get lost! Don't ever come back in!"
His sister screamed, "Yeah, you..." She slapped him in anger and rushed to her mother.
He felt extremely angry as he muttered, "What? What did I do wrong? Why are they acting strange? No."
His hair started to flutter and his body started to tremble; his new form was about to be formed. He lost his sanity as he turned insane. His powers started to rise rapidly as he was about to destroy everything in front of him...
But suddenly, the golden butterfly tore through the orb and jumped onto him, instantly storing him inside itself.
It was already at its weakest; it overstrained itself just to do this. It felt as if it couldn't hold on any longer. But... it wasn't able to teleport.
It was about to die... but suddenly a figure appeared out of nowhere. He was the Fate Guy! Surrounding him were many golden butterflies.
He spoke, "Lucan! Where are you? Why did you abandon me—your crewmate!"
But his language wasn't able to be understood by Lucan's family. Only his dad said, "Fate Guy! It's you?" He had already met him way back, hence he knew him.
Fate Guy saw the golden butterfly's pathetic state as he held it in his palm. Before he could even react, the golden butterflies surrounded his palm and secured their mate. Fate Guy waved goodbye and teleported back along with them all.
Back in Fate Guy's unknown place, the golden butterfly fortunately survived due to the combined efforts of its race.
The golden butterfly let out Lucan, who was unconscious. It had suppressed his uncontrollable powers by itself.
It thought, At least Lucan is fine... hehe.
