Lucan's eyes were lit up with a sense of clarity; he grinned widely as he spread out his hands.
His whole injured body stopped feeling pain, and he started laughing crazily. He grabbed the child guy by the neck, "You tried to kill me and end my goal! So hehe, die!"
Lucan crushed his neck to death, but the child guy dodged at the last instant and retreated several steps back.
He frowned, "What is this sudden power boost? How did he even survive that?"
As he was thinking, a new change took over Lucan's body.
Lucan's body turned cosmic; his whole body represented the cosmos and looked like deep space.
His eyes were glowing like stars as he felt his new powers surging out.
He didn't control or suppress it; he let it all out.
He felt as if he had gone insane, but he didn't hate his state of mind. He actually... loved it.
He said, "My form! Just like superpowers, haha! I love it. I have to name it: The Incomplete Psycho! Hahaha, I am Lucan, The Incomplete Psycho!"
Cosmic energy gushed from the surroundings toward him; nature felt him as a part of itself.
He became one with the cosmos itself for a split second, then he held the child guy once again. "I am not emotional like others. I will leave you both alive. Just answer my questions and give me the things I ask!"
The child guy's mind subconsciously said "Yes" without even thinking. His instincts told him that otherwise... he would have been dead this instant.
Lucan asked, "How do I get to the end of space?"
The child guy frowned, "Lu... can... space has no end!"
Lucan laughed, "Then what else can you tell me regarding my goal?"
The child guy tried to open his mouth, "I..."
Lucan interrupted him, "Don't answer me as if I don't know! From the looks of your ancient place, the library, and all these... you must know a lot of secrets! Hehe, I am as sly as a fox; you can't escape me!"
The child guy gritted his teeth, "But... how can I trust you? Won't you kill me after I tell you? What's the guarantee for my life?"
Lucan replied, "Okay, I am not going to be like others and swear! Let's forge an agreement—what do you say?"
Lucan created an agreement out of nowhere; it had all the points written on it. He signed it instantly, staking his life on it!
He tossed it to the child guy. "Go ahead, I used my cosmic energy to sign it! You must also do the same."
The child guy was astonished as he grabbed it hastily and checked it line by line.
It was indeed perfect, just as Lucan had said!
He signed it and praised, "Such honesty... Oh, heavens!"
Lucan laughed, "Honesty? Huh, I am just using the most logical or rational solution possible to solve this problem. Okay! Now tell me!"
The child guy said, "There is a place... you can get out of this solar system through it!"
However, he hesitated, worried that Lucan might not be satisfied because his goal was so huge. This seemed no larger than a tiny ant in comparison!
He swallowed his saliva as he waited for Lucan's response.
Lucan replied, "Deal!"
The child guy was stunned, blinking constantly. "What? You agreed... but is it even worth much?"
Lucan grinned, "Even if it's that tiny, as long as it's progress toward my goal, I will do it! Hahaha! I ain't like you fools, overthinking and pondering about it."
The child guy gave Lucan what he had asked for; it was in a book from the library.
Lucan's form was still active, and he was able to establish control over it. He felt glad as his face turned joyful, and his form lowered back to its normal state.
Lucan smiled gently at the book as he rubbed it with his fingers. He hugged the book tight and left without doing anything else.
On the way, he met the golden butterflies. They were now gazing at Lucan in a strange way. Even they had witnessed Lucan's powers, and they made way for him to pass.
He grinned and waved goodbye, "Goodbye y'all, this is our last meeting."
The golden butterflies feared his power, so they didn't lower their guard.
Lucan smiled as he walked away, reached his spaceship, and went inside.
He looked at the book with a trace of admiration in his eyes.
He muttered, "My first progress... Hehe, finally after all this struggle, I have reached the second step of my goal. First, leave Earth. Now, leave this solar system... Hehe, end of space, wait for me—Lucan! I will be the first one to reach you. Now I am a bit closer to you."
He felt a strange warm feeling rushing through his heart and blood, warming him up.
He felt so much better. "And for the reason behind this, I must thank my own self! Hehe, me, myself."
Lucan closed his eyes and dozed off into a slumber, his face lit up with a smile.
In the eternal abyss of life and death:
The Life Crystal frowned, "That power... isn't that Lucan?"
The Death Crystal nodded, "Yep, it's him! So powerful and cosmic. I don't mind as long as he doesn't try to kill you, bro."
The Life Crystal sighed, "Why the hell are you so obsessed with me?"
The Death Crystal smiled gently, "No, it's just that when everyone ignored me and left me alone, you were the only one who lifted me up and called me 'bro'! I still remember that day..."
The Life Crystal laughed, "You still remember that? Amazing! Hehe, you are right though, bro."
The Future Life Crystal also smiled at the Future Death Crystal.
The Future Death Crystal asked, "My past self is truly an exact copy of me! You are suited to be the Life Crystal."
Suddenly, all of them felt a strange presence.
The Life Crystal stumbled, "Fate... said it's time to begin everything! And he himself will also come!"
All the others paid attention.
The Future Life Crystal asked, "So what do we do?"
The Death Crystal replied, "We have to do nothing. Fate will trap the pawns in an isolated domain away from the rest of the world. We will also be summoned! We have to follow his orders there."
The Future Death Crystal sighed, "But... I hate killing!"
The Death Crystal sighed too, "Me too... but for Fate's sake and Life's sake, we have to do this."
All four of them gazed at the sky as they awaited their time.
Suddenly, all of them—Lord, Kaol Noah, the Crystal of Betrayal, the black figure from the organization, Zacian, Celestia, the King, and the space station members—fell into a strange warmth as they reached an unknown place.
All of them saw each other and wondered, "Who did this?"
Lucan was also teleported here, but he was the last one to arrive.
The others managed to land safely using their own unique abilities.
Celestia flew while holding the King in her arms...
The space station members were all teleported down to the ground.
Gerin asked, "Who did that?"
Freol laughed, "The time has come! It's him—the silent guy."
Everyone's gaze shifted past him.
Lord fell directly and stomped the ground. Dust blew off as he roared, "Hahaha, using powers is a symbol of weakness! Lord can literally do nothing and land with ease!"
Everyone started backing away from Lord.
"THIS GUY! OH NO!"
"DAMN IT, WHY THE HELL WAS THIS GUY ALSO TELEPORTED HERE? WON'T HE KILL US?"
Lord stared at them as they all retreated.
Zacian landed on his bike. "So what's up guys? In today's livestream, we are literally at an unknown cosmic place. Look, Lord is there! King... Destiny's Heavenly King is there too! Oh my, the Crystal of Betrayal? How nostalgic. I still remember the scene—I was there, seeing Lucan kill himself and betray himself to reach the peak of betrayal. Then the Crystal of Betrayal was summoned... Celestia... how beautiful! Ah, guys, I thought meeting Lord here was a bad thing, but if she's here, hehe, it's a sign of good luck. Eh... Kaol Noah! This guy is the only immortal in our solar system! And... oh heavens, even Lucan is here... How lucky are we! Haha!"
Everyone felt annoyed except Lord, who said, "Fan! How are you? Hahaha, came to film me? Come on over! Don't be shy."
Zacian swallowed hard. "I wanted to film... Celestia! Not you..."
