POV of Shion
"Okay, let's try it, but you wait for me here!" Mr. Senko told me.
Quite a lot has happened since I came into this world! My life has never been boring in principle.
At first, I was an ordinary but quite powerful ogre in the Great Jura Forest. I lived in my tribe, with my family and many friends, and this time was one of the most peaceful and happy in my life. Until one moment...
A masked man came to our village and offered us strength and power if we would join him, but we refused. Then he left, and we thought that would be the end of it, but after a while he came back. He returned, and not alone, but with a large army of orcs, dressed in iron armor. We fought them with all our might, but we couldn't handle it, so the six of us had to run. We wandered through the forest for a while until we met our master, Rimuru, who gave us a names and welcomed us into his city, which was under construction.
After our revenge on the ogres, we decided to swear allegiance to him and stay in the city. We helped him with everything, and I became his secretary, bodyguard, and leader of the "Him" special squad. Benimaru became the commander of all the armed forces. Old man Hakuro is a martial arts instructor. Souei is the head of intelligence and a spy. Shuna is the head of the production department. And Kebi is the head blacksmith and gunsmith.
Our life has become more fun and interesting, not without adventures and battles, of course. We have encountered many battles such as: Orc Lord Geld, the Kingdom of Falmus, Charybdis and more.
It was when we experienced another attack, during a meeting with many rulers, that something abruptly changed. Everyone in the hall froze as they felt the spatial distortion. A slightly purple light appeared right in front of us, which heading in my direction at an incredible speed. Everyone barely had time to realize how this light crashed into me. But in the split seconds that it raced, no one was able to do anything. The last thing I saw before I found myself in a strange space was the panic on the faces of the people I care about!
Finding myself in pitch darkness, I was very nervous at first, but I quickly pulled myself together and looked around. Having found nothing, I slowly walked straight, well, as it seemed to me. After a while, a voice sounded in my head, somewhat resembling the "Voice of the World," but different - more alive or something! He informed me that I had been chosen as a helper, a newborn being, that I should accompany and protect him.
"For this reason, we are transferring the master-servant connection from Rimuru Tempest to Senko."
I didn't have time to object, as I felt that the thin connection connecting me to Rimuru disappear, and in its place there was an even stronger and stronger connection. But the strangest thing was that I didn't feel anything about this breakup!
"Now you will be sent to a new master. If you fulfill your duties, then after completing the mission in the original world, you will have the choice to return or stay with the new master."
After the last information I received, a bright light appeared in front of me. Through it, I slowly left, finding myself in a clearing near the lake. I greeted the new master, with whom I will now serve:
"Greetings, Mr. Senko! Shion is ready to carry out any of your orders!"
After greeting him, at first I didn't see anyone in front of me, but looking down, I saw the sweetest creature! In front of me was a very cute little fox, its fur a golden in color. Its eyes had an unusual golden hue with a red tint, and a small tail stretched from the coccyx, the tip of which was colored orange. He was so cute that I just wanted to squeeze him!
"Hi Shion. I am very glad to have you here. I hope for a good cooperation!" this miracle answered, or rather the new master!
"Well, maybe everything won't be so bad!"
Quite a lot of events and time have passed since than. And now we have been living in this forest for three and a half years. During this time, Mr. Senko told me about this strange world, about the presence of gods here, and most importantly, that they can become them. The power system in this world was not ordinary, but understandable, although it seems to me that relying on soul rings is not practical. After all, it's a borrowed power, not their personal strength! Humans simply rely on the life force and energy of other beings.
In my world, of course, to some extent, too, we rely on naming and on the "Voice of the World," but otherwise only on ourselves!
After all this time, I completely accepted this fox as a new owner, and in principle everything was not so bad, he is very hardworking, kind and responsible. I don't have many tasks either, mostly training him and hunting animals.
"Shion, I'm back, and I have great news for you!"
"Welcome back, Sir!" I answered him with a sincere smile on my face.
"My new path begins here! Friends, wait for me, someday we will meet again!"
