As the golden sparks slowly dissipated, yuta okkotsu could only hold his breath at the sight of Kamar-Taj.
Everything felt different. Not just in terms of looks or architecture, the air itself felt special. This sacred place had a weird effect on him even though he knew it clearly.
Yuta stopped in his place to comprehend the new environment only for the students in layered carrying scrolls and relics to capture his attention once more.
They had an air of discipline and Passion that was both alien and appealing. Not even in his experience as sunny did he ever see such devotion, only necessity...
The ancient one walked ahead of him with a measured pace ."Welcome to Kamar-Taj" she said calmly, without turning. "This place has stood for centuries as a sanctuary for those who seek to protect the world from forces beyond ordinary understanding.
Here, we study the mystic arts , the manipulation of dimensional energy and the very fabric of reality."
Yuta walked beside her surprisingly fast still in trance by the beautiful scenery. They moved through the courtyard with several trainees glancing at Yuta with curiosity, then quickly away when they felt Rika's presence
"This is the courtyard of the Threefold Path," the Ancient One continued, gesturing to an open square where monks sparred with staffs that left trails of golden energy.
"Beyond it lies the Library of the Mystic Arts one of the greatest repositories of knowledge in existence. And deeper still, the chambers where we meditate upon the Vishanti and guard against the threats of the Dark Dimension."
She stopped in her place as if recalling something " cursed energy and the mystic arts share a common ancestor, mana the purest form of energy capable of even altering reality in the hands of capable people. Sadly only few chosen people can access it."
' mana? That's weird... Marvel doesn't have something called mana...is there more to this world than I thought, sigh what type of fanfiction am I in.' yuta's brain worked overtime trying to recall anything about mana yet nothing stood out.
"Why are you mentioning that to me" he asked her with clear skepticism.
She just shrugged her shoulder like it didn't matter." Who knows? That's for you to find out"
Just as yuta was about to press for more answers a tall and composed man in dark robes approached them from a side path. His expression was calm but alert at the same time.
"Wong" the Ancient One said with a small nod. "This is Yuta Okkotsu. He will be training here."
Wong regarded Yuta with steady eyes, then offered a respectful bow. "Any student of the Ancient One is welcome here. If you need guidance on the texts or the basic forms, come find me in the library."His gaze flicked briefly to Rika, but he showed no fear.
With another bow the bold sorcerer went on his way.
Before yuta could return to questioning the bald granny another familiar figure rounded the corner. Baron Karl Mordo...
"Mordo come here and meet our newest arrival." The ancient one called over the mediocre offscreened and soon to be villain .
"A child?" Mordo's voice carried a hint of skepticism. "And… that thing..." He nodded toward Rika. "The balance is delicate enough without bringing such instability into these walls."
Yuta frowned at the sorcerer's disrespectful tone. " I would prefer if you watch your words when speaking about my friend "
The temperature dropped suddenly and a terrifying pressure descended on mordo. This time it wasn't Rika who caused it.
Mordo's hands tightened as he took the full force of yuta's cursed energy. Still even he couldn't help but marvel at boy's potential.
' Such dense energy and that age... Where does she find these monsters '
A hand patted yuta's shoulder causing him to shift his focus to the ancient one who just shook her head.
He retracted his cursed and followed shortly after her not giving the panting mordo any thoughts.
They walked deeper into the complex, passing quiet meditation gardens and chambers where portals flickered open to reveal distant vistas.
Yuta's mind raced through everything. This place felt like stepping into one of the late night movies he'd watched on his old laptop, yet this dream was real.
And this dream is about to become even stranger.
Yuta okkotsu stood still truly fixated on a lone figure seated on the far side.
His head was tilted back , apparently staring at the clouds with an expression of profound boredom.
He did have cursed energy a whole lot of cursed energy yet that wasn't what caught his attention.
It was his white smooth hair and the blindfold covering his eyes...
Yuta's exe has stopped working.
"That's —" he almost screamed but composed himself in the last moment.
This time he whispered softly so that only the ancient one could hear
" That's Saturo gojo."
"And you would be correct." She nodded but the small curve on her face showed how amused she was by his reaction .
Gojo noticed them the moment they approached him, no he noticed even way before. From the moment they went through the portal.
A wide, playful grin split his face as he pushed off the ground and walked over.
"Well, well. So this is the kid causing all the ripples? Nice to meet you."
The Ancient One stopped as well, a faint smile touching her lips. "Satoru Gojo. My current apprentice and the one I have chosen to succeed me as Sorcerer Supreme in training."
Yuta's brain short circuited once more.
"Wait… you?" He stared at Gojo, then at the Ancient One. "You're training him to be the next Sorcerer Supreme? The guy with the Six active brain cells. How— Why—?"
Gojo laughed completely unbothered as he ruffled his hair " Hey don't be so shocked now. The old granny took me in after an incident with a homeless bum. I usually wouldn't accept but I got bribed by the ability to create any sweets yay"
The Ancient One turned slightly toward Gojo. "You will be responsible for him."
Gojo pointed at himself. "Me?"
"Yes."
"For how long?"
"As long as needed."The Ancient sorcerer continued as calm as ever. "You will provide him a place to stay. You will train him in jujutsu. You will help him adapt to this world."
Yuta nearly protested on instinct. He did not need a babysitter.
Then he looked at Gojo again.
That man looked like he had already turned this into a game.
"No." Yuta said immediately. "Absolutely not."
Gojo snapped his fingers. "He likes me already."
"I do not."
"You will."
"I won't."
"Too late"Gojo said cheerfully. "I'm very lovable."
The Ancient One's voice cut through the bickering with a quiet finality.
"Gojo."
He straightened, and for the first time the playfulness dulled just enough to reveal something sharper underneath.
"Yes?"
"I will leave Okkotsu in your care."
The silence that followed felt heavy.
Yuta looked at the Ancient One, then at Gojo, waiting for the next absurdity to arrive.
Gojo lifted a hand to his chest in mock solemnity. "My first student."
Yuta groaned softly and looked up at the sky as if heaven itself might offer mercy only to see gojo's face plastered in the clouds with that mocking grin of his
The ancient one shook her head in amusement at the scene happening in front of her.
