Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: When the City Split

The cracks didn't just open.

They shattered.

Like reality itself had lost its grip, the air tore apart in multiple places—above buildings, across roads, even in the middle of moving traffic.

People froze.

For one second.

Then everything collapsed into chaos.

"RUN!!"

"WHAT IS HAPPENING?!"

"THE SKY—LOOK AT THE SKY!"

Alex didn't run.

Not yet.

His eyes were locked on the cracks.

Every single one of them was glowing now.

Stronger than before.

More violent.

"…This is the 'forced event,'" he whispered.

And then—

Something fell from the sky.

A man.

No—

Not just a man.

A warrior.

He crashed onto the roof of a car, denting it completely before rolling off onto the road.

Before anyone could react—

More followed.

Not one.

Not five.

Dozens.

From different cracks.

Different directions.

Different… times.

⚔️ Chaos Unleashed

A group of armored soldiers landed together, quickly forming a defensive stance like trained fighters.

At the same time—

On the opposite side—

Men wearing completely different clothing appeared, holding long rifles.

They looked just as shocked.

And then—

They saw each other.

Silence.

One second.

Two seconds.

Then someone shouted.

And everything exploded.

Gunshots rang out.

Swords clashed.

People screamed and ran in every direction.

Cars crashed into each other as drivers panicked.

"This is insane!" Alex shouted, barely dodging someone who ran past him.

Two different eras.

Fighting.

In the middle of a modern city.

"This isn't just a glitch anymore—this is a war!"

😂 Chaos Meets Comedy

A soldier charged forward with a sword—

Only to suddenly stop in front of a traffic light.

He stared at it.

The red light blinked.

The soldier blinked back.

"…Is he seriously waiting?" Alex stared in disbelief.

A car honked loudly.

The soldier jumped back in shock and raised his sword at the car.

"…Okay, this is chaos… but this is also the weirdest thing I've ever seen," Alex muttered.

🧠 Strategic Shift

But then—

Alex's expression changed.

His eyes sharpened.

Because he noticed something.

The cracks.

They weren't random anymore.

They were appearing in specific positions.

"…They're connecting," he whispered.

Lines.

Invisible before.

Now clearer.

Almost like a network.

A system.

"This isn't just chaos… this is structured."

His heartbeat slowed.

His mind sped up.

"If there's structure… then there's control."

And if there's control—

Then someone is doing this.

⚡ Danger Hits

A loud shout broke his focus.

One of the armed men aimed his rifle—

Directly at a group of civilians.

"No—!"

Alex moved without thinking.

He grabbed a nearby metal trash can and kicked it forward.

It slammed into the shooter's legs just as he fired.

The bullet missed.

People screamed and scattered.

The man fell, confused and angry.

Alex stepped back quickly.

"…Okay," he breathed heavily, "I just saved lives."

"…I think."

🧩 The First Real Clue

His phone vibrated again.

Violently.

The screen flickered uncontrollably.

New text appeared.

SYSTEM OVERRIDE DETECTED

EXTERNAL INTERFERENCE CONFIRMED

Alex's eyes widened.

"…External?"

"…So it's true."

His grip tightened.

"Someone is controlling this."

As if responding to his realization—

One of the cracks in the air changed.

It didn't behave like the others.

It didn't release random people.

Instead—

It stabilized.

Perfectly.

Like it was… intentional.

Alex stared at it.

"…That one is different."

And then—

From that crack—

Someone stepped out.

Not confused.

Not scared.

Calm.

Controlled.

Watching.

Their eyes met Alex's.

And for the first time—

Alex felt it.

Not curiosity.

Not excitement.

But something much heavier.

Pressure.

The figure tilted their head slightly.

Almost… amused.

Then—

They smiled.

And stepped back into the crack.

Which closed instantly.

Gone.

🔥 Cliffhanger

The chaos around him continued.

Fighting. Screaming. Panic.

But Alex wasn't looking at any of it.

His mind was locked on one thing.

"…They saw me."

His voice was quiet.

Serious.

"And they're not part of the chaos…"

"They're controlling it."

His phone vibrated one last time.

TARGET LOCKED

Alex's eyes widened.

"…Target?"

A sudden chill ran down his spine.

Slowly—

He turned around.

Behind him—

Another crack was forming.

Closer than ever before.

And this time—

It was coming for him.
