The hospital room was quiet.
Jay stood beside Keifer's bed, gently adjusting his blanket even though he clearly didn't need it.
"You don't have to fuss," he murmured.
"Shut up," she replied softly. "You're injured."
Before he could answer—
The door suddenly opened loudly.
"JASPER JEAN MARIANO?!"
Jay froze.
She turned slowly.
"…Kuya?"
Percy stood at the entrance, still in his travel jacket.
"The first thing I hear after landing in London," he said sharply, walking inside, "is that my sister was in a fire?"
Jay rushed to him. "I'm fine!"
He looked at her bandaged hand. "Fine? You call this fine?"
Then his eyes shifted to the hospital bed.
"And who is he?"
Jay hesitated for a second.
Then quietly—
"He's my boyfriend."
Silence.
Percy blinked once.
"…Your boyfriend?"
"Yes."
Percy looked at Keifer properly now.
Tall. Calm. Even injured, he looked intimidating.
Percy stepped closer.
"You saved her?"
Keifer answered steadily, "Yes."
Percy crossed his arms.
"What's your name?"
"Mark Keifer Watson."
Percy frowned slightly.
"…Mark Keifer Watson?"
"Yes."
Percy's eyes widened.
"Wait."
He pointed at him.
"That handsome trillionaire?"
Keifer: "Yes."
"The CEO of Watson Enterprises?"
"Yes."
"The world's richest man?"
"Yes."
Percy stared at him.
Then at Jay.
Then back at him again.
"YOU are that Mark Keifer Watson?"
Keifer remained calm.
"Yes."
Percy ran a hand through his hair dramatically.
"So my sister's boyfriend is the richest man in the world."
Jay groaned. "Kuya, please."
Percy looked back at Keifer, this time more serious.
"You walked into a fire for her?"
"Yes."
"Knowing you could die?"
"Yes."
No hesitation.
No drama.
Just fact.
Percy studied him for a long moment.
Then finally extended his hand.
"Thank you. For saving my sister."
Keifer shook it firmly.
"It was my responsibility."
Percy nodded slowly.
"I'm staying in London for one month," he added.
Jay blinked. "One month?"
"Yes," Percy said casually. "And now I'm very interested in knowing more about my sister's billionaire boyfriend."
Keifer's eyes held a calm warning.
"I look forward to it."
Jay looked between them.
