Qixian woke up in an unfamiliar room with a headache.
"So you're awake?"A voice of a man suddenly came out making Qixian look where the voice was. "Come out I made a hangover soup." The man politely smiled.
"Uh..." Qixian hesitantly followed the man. "Why am I here?" Qixian softly asked.
"You don't remember? Hmmm... Let me see... You cried last night saying you got disowned that you're family doesn't love you anymore, that you don't have anyone, and you don't have anywhere to stay."
After Qixian heard all of that he just wished that the ground would swallow him whole. "Damn it." Qixian murmured to himself.
Haoran laughed and then added, "You even called me your older brother, and your twin." Qixian choked on his soup and Haoran handed him some water. "You should be careful when eating" Haoran said as if he wasn't the one who caused it.
"Thank you" Qixian said as he took the water from Haoran then slowly drank it.
As he calmed down a bit, Qixian asked. "Did I say anything more?"
"No," Haoran replied, "But did you know what you did?"
"What did I do?...." Qixian cautiously asked.
"You tried to fight me,"
"I'm sorry..." Qixian looked down.
"No worries, it's not like you did it on purpose, besides you're quite weak at fighting, you know, you lack of strength?" Qixian gave an offended glare towards Haoran, and Haoran seeing Qixian's reaction is just so cute that he just laughed it off.
"Still, aside that... Thank you and I'm sorry that you had to take care of me last night..." Qixian said awkwardly but thankfull.
"It's okay, you must've been through so much to end up like that."
Qixian didn't say any.
Silence followed until Haoran broke it."You can stay here for as long as you need if you don't have anywhere to stay"
"Thank you..." Qixian replied.
"By the way what's your name?" Haoran asked.
Qixian debated on his mind for a long moment before saying "Song Qixian." he lied, 'It's not like I lied about my surname, I already got disowned so I'm not a Zhou anymore, and it's for the best, at least I could get close to my twin brother' Qixian thought.
"Qixian?" Haoran tried to say Qixian's name full of curiosity.
"Yeah, it means enlightened and virtuous, like a... a wise leader or a person with a high moral character." Qixian explained.
"It's a nice name!" Haoran complimented.
"What about yours? You're Haoran right?" Qixian asked, with a look of wanting to hear the meaning of his twin brother's name.
"Yes, my name means vast spirit or a noble energy, like a person with a great integrity and a broad mind!" Haoran proudly said.
"Broad mind..." Qixian murmured, suddenly a memory popped up on his mind saying 'Bo as in Boshuai, for a broad and learned mind' the girl said it in a confident way, such a beautiful voice, but Qixian couldn't remember everything. Shaking his head he looked at Haoran, "It does suit you" Qixian said as he smiled.
"Thanks, my mother was the one who gave me that name" Haoran grinned.
After a bit of silence, not an awkward one, but a silence that both is comfortable with. "Oh right, I have never ask you if you're an Omega or a Beta or an Alpha..." Haoran asked.
"..." At first Qixian didn't say any, but after a seconds later he answered, "An Alpha. An A-tier Alpha." He lied, even though there's no one to impress, Qixian hated being an Omega, but he never hated others on being like one, he only hated himself about it. Afterall, he is an S-tier Omega that can use his pheromones like an Alpha but even though it's very different from an Alpha since an Alpha's pheromones are commanding and dominant, his are damaging the lungs or weaken their breathing.
"An Alpha? Then why are you so physically weak?" Haoran commented as if he didn't say anything wrong.
"I am not." Qixian said like someone had just mocked him face to face as he got up to do the dishes since he was just done eating. "Ah! That hurts! That hurts!" He said when Haoran suddenly twisted his arm.
"See? How can you say you're not physically weak when I knocked you off last night? Telling me I'm your fake older brother Jin Rou and tried to fight me? You even tried to punch me and kick me like a person who had never learned any fighting technique."
"That's not fair I was drunk!" Qixian defended.
"Even now though" Haoran let go of his arm.
"I was hangover?" Qixian glared at Haoran.
"Then let me see when you're completely in a normal condition then." Haoran said as he sat back down.
Qixian glared at his back as he left to do the dishes.

Minutes later, patients are coming in. "You done doing the dishes Qixian?"
"I've finished it a decades ago" Qixian replied from his room.
"Come help me!"
"No." Qixian replied.
"Oh my, I think my back is actually going to crack open," Haoran groaned, clutching his spine as he put on a theatrical display of pain. The moment he spotted Qixian leaning against the doorframe, his grimace melted into a bright, knowing grin.
Qixian offered a tight, mischievous, annoyed smile in return, his eyes rolling in an exaggerated arc. He clearly wasn't buying the act, yet he still stepped forward to help.
"Qixian, take these," Haoran said, thrusting a bundle of supplies into his hands without looking up from his own patient. "Help me treat that one over there in a minute."
Qixian took them with a stiff, practiced air. "I know how to handle it. Mind your own business and finish what you're doing."
"Eh?" Haoran's head snapped up, his eyes wide with a flicker of panic. "How is a patient supposed to treat another patient?"
Qixian's expression shifted into one of pure offense. "Me? A patient?" he bristled, his voice dropping an octave. "I am not a patient."
"Ah, right, that was a few days ago." Haoran said, his voice dripping with feigned innocence. "But do you actually know what you're doing?" A skeptical glint in Haoran's eyes. "You sure you won't kill the patient? You don't look very convincing."
"Is the fact that I'm a doctor who can't even treat his own wounds a justifiable answer for you?" Qixian countered, his tone dry as bone as he took a bottle of water to drink.
"Not really. But you could just admit you like me—that's clearly why you approached me the other day, right?" Haoran casually said.
Qixian choked mid-sip, the water nearly spraying from his mouth. He doubled over, coughing violently. "I like you?" he sputtered, a shiver of pure revulsion running down his spine. 'Like him? My own twin brother?' "No. Not a chance. Absolutely not."
"So you don't?" Haoran shrugged, completely unfazed as he returned to his patient. "Then I guess your first answer stands. In that case, you really are just a bad doctor who can't heal himself. How tragic."
"There's no need for that!" Qixian bristled, his face flushing with indignation. "I am a highly talented doctor, thank you very much." Qixian snapped, puffing out his chest as if to reclaim his lost dignity before he reached for the medical supplies.
Haoran caught the glare and let out a bright, melodic laugh, clearly delighted that he'd managed to get under Qixian's skin.
