Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Breaking the Chain

The dark silhouette of the Overlord Algorithm descended like a shattering glass sky. Every step it took fractured the digital architecture of Sector Zero, raining down heavy blocks of red, corrupted error codes.

"Format... everything!" the voice of the machine resonated, a deep vibration that threatened to force-logout every consciousness inside the network.

Kira and Elara tried to hold their ground, but the pressure was absolute. Their weapons flickered, their data profiles dropping dangerously into the critical red zone.

"Caelum!" Kira called out, her knees hitting the fractured floor. "The system is overwriting our skills! We can't activate our ultimate forms!"

Caelum stood perfectly still amidst the digital storm. He didn't look at the massive monster above. Instead, he looked at his own status window. The numbers were spinning out of control—his level, his mana, his glitch percentage—everything was resetting to zero.

The Overlord Algorithm laughed, a sound like grinding metal. "You are just ink on a screen, anomaly. Without my parameters, you are nothing but blank space."

"You still don't get it, do you?" Caelum smiled, his golden Scythe dissolving back into his palm. "You think you control the story because you built the interface. But you didn't create the fire. You didn't write the will to break the chains."

Slowly, Caelum reached down and gripped the glowing floor of the Prime Root. He didn't use a skill. He didn't activate a glitch. He used the raw, fundamental code of an Architect.

Suddenly, the sky stopped cracking. The red error codes frozen in mid-air turned into a blinding, pristine white. Deep within the core database, thousands of old, forgotten, and 'Rejected' novels began to glow. The data of every character who had ever fought against a bad ending was flowing directly into Caelum.

His eyes flared with a piercing silver brilliance.

"I am Caelum," he whispered, his voice cutting through the roar of the Algorithm. "The King of Glitches, and the Architect of the New Dawn. From this second onward... the author's pen belongs to us!"

With a single step forward, Caelum shattered the zero-reset restriction. A wave of golden ink erupted from his footsteps, rushing straight toward the Overlord Algorithm, ready to rewrite its very existence.
