Goku is truly a monster; even with his heart condition, he became strong. Imagine how strong he would be without it! 10 million in base power and 500 million in Super Saiyan form, that's why Vegeta hates Goku. He's the protagonist of Dragon Ball for a reason.
Piccolo has a power level equal to Frieza's at 60%, which would be around 80 million, making him stronger than the Saiyans in base power, but he falls short when considering the Saiyans' transformations.
Gohan isn't that far behind either; he has 5 million power levels, but he can't transform into a Super Saiyan because he doesn't have a strong enough reason to do so like his father did on Namek.
Now I understand a little why Yamcha gave up fighting in the Buu Saga; only the saga's villain could fight against those guys. How could a guy born on Earth face the Saiyans?
That's why I asked the Dragon Balls to turn me into a Saiyan; they're the ones who decide the saga, not the supporting characters like the original Yamcha, Krillin, Tien, and Chiaotzu.
If I really want to get strong, it will be by training with them.

"Hey Yamcha! Are you just going to stand there? My dad's going to pair you up now." Gohan says.

Goku, Piccolo, and Gohan fly to a remote location for training, and I struggle to keep up with their speed.
After a few minutes of flying, Goku Piccolo landed and Gohan gestured for me to get down.
I land on the ground, Goku clears his throat and makes his announcement.
"Since Yamcha will be training with us now, we can form pairs, and today's pair is Gohan and Piccolo, and Yamcha and me." Goku announces.
Goku then gives some encouragement.
"We must fight as if we were facing the androids tomorrow, so I want you to give it your all. Let's see how strong you two are, and also how far away you are, Yamcha, whether you're near or far from us." Goku says.
Gohan goes to Piccolo's side and I approach Goku; everyone is ready for training.
Goku then gives me a hint.
"Yamcha, Gohan can't transform into a Super Saiyan, which makes him the weakest target. Leave Piccolo to me; I'll get my revenge on him for killing me in the year 761." Goku says with a mischievous grin.
In a matter of seconds, Piccolo and Goku exchange punches at high speed, making it impossible to see with the naked eye.
Okay, let's try something surprising.
A red aura surrounds me, and this surprises Gohan.
"Can you use the Kaioken, Mr. Yamcha?" Gohan asked, surprised.
So this means that the Z Fighters have the Kaioken technique but never used it in the Cell Saga, and that includes Piccolo.
But even so, I'm still far behind them in strength; with that power, I'd only be able to defeat Recoome with considerable effort.
