Lewis spent an entire week and finally managed to complete the 1st-level spells section of The Book of All Magic on Arcane Magic.
Then he realized that he could not keep going like this.
Looking through all the Arcane Magic he had mastered, there were already more than a hundred 1st-level spells alone. The 2nd-level spells were even more numerous, with more than two hundred.
At the same time, 2nd-level spells were considerably more complex than 1st-level spells.
To complete this section, it would probably take him an entire month.
And what about the 3rd level, 4th level, and even higher?
Although Arcane Magic did not necessarily have more spells simply because the spell level was higher, the largest number of spells were concentrated between 2nd and 5th level, which had the widest range of applications.
Starting from 6th level, the number of spells gradually decreased with each level.
But the higher the spell level, the greater the complexity. Recording them in a spellbook while also making it possible for someone to learn them through self-study would become increasingly difficult.
At this rate, it would take him an absurd amount of time to complete this project.
He could not continue like this.
Originally, Lewis had thought that with his heaven-defying comprehension, along with spells such as [Fox's Cunning] and [Arcane Intellect], as well as the Ravenclaw Diadem, which could increase an attribute by +6, his Intelligence of 18 was already sufficient.
With those 18 points of Intelligence as his foundation, after adding up all his bonuses, it could be increased to 28.
After all, the average human Intelligence was only around 10, while the human maximum was no more than 18.
An Intelligence of 28 was already the level possessed by many powerful fantasy races and lord-level creatures.
Yet even that was completely insufficient for a monumental undertaking like The Book of All Magic.
Therefore, Lewis decided to stop hesitating.
After considering what species he should transform into, he directly consumed a Permanent Intelligence Potion and began preparing for a new Wild Shape.
And his choice for this Wild Shape was the phoenix.
Very soon, Jaina, Tonks, and Onyxia all received news of this, while Shirella, Hermione, Penelope, Cho Chang, and Luna also received the news separately.
In fact, almost all of them were extremely curious about Lewis transforming into a magical creature.
Although Lewis had accomplished one incredible feat after another, transforming into a magical creature was still one of the most legendary of them all.
When Lewis had first transformed into a chimera, Shirella and Hermione had watched the entire process.
If his first transformation into a feathered serpent had not been intended to deal with the Basilisk and required him to act quickly, Jaina and the others would have wanted to watch that transformation as well.
After that incident, Jaina repeatedly reminded Lewis that if he was ever ready for his next transformation, he absolutely had to call them.
Thus, Lewis's third Wild Shape ritual directly became a gathering of the "Genius Club."
The next day, when moonlight illuminated Hogwarts, Lewis encountered his girls outside the Great Hall after dinner.
Shirella, Penelope, Cho Chang, Luna, and Hermione were already waiting there.
Luna leaned against the railing of the staircase, her eyes unfocused, as if reminiscing about something.
Hermione sat on the spiral staircase, holding a book in her arms and quietly muttering to herself.
Shirella stretched her slender limbs like a warrior preparing to enter battle, her entire body brimming with strength.
Penelope stared at her companion, somewhat lost in thought.
Cho Chang leaned against the wall, her eyes fixed firmly on the Great Hall.
When Lewis appeared, everyone's attention immediately focused on him.
"Good evening..."
Seeing the five girls waiting for him here without communicating with one another, Lewis awkwardly scratched his head, inexplicably feeling a hint of guilt.
Why had he insisted on bringing them all together?
"Ahem."
Lewis activated [Magnificent Mansion] with practiced ease and led them to the tower's workshop.
This room was where he brewed Permanent Intelligence Potions.
Lewis placed the phoenix feathers, the main ingredient, into the automatic cauldron. He then added some Salamander hearts and a Divine Power Crystal from a hippogriff.
As his understanding of Druidic Wild Shape and Potion-making deepened, Lewis had already become capable of making certain adjustments to permanent attribute potions.
The two additional materials respectively represented the powers of the Fire element and the Good alignment.
Lewis knew that phoenixes existed in many magical planes, and their settings were generally quite similar.
However, no matter how similar they were, phoenixes from different worlds still differed in strength.
For example, the phoenixes of the DND and WoW worlds were not merely magical birds. They were also incarnations of the Fire element, making them far more powerful than the phoenixes of the Harry Potter world.
That was precisely how Lewis intended to give the phoenix he transformed into the power of those worlds.
Once the final ingredient had been added, the potion was quickly completed.
Lewis poured the condensed potion, which carried a powerful magical aura, into a crystal potion bottle.
Then he led the girls out of the workshop and into the living room.
Jaina and the others had already been waiting there for quite some time.
When she saw Lewis, Jaina hurried over and asked, "How is it? Did it work?"
"Of course. I've already succeeded twice."
Lewis answered confidently.
Following Lewis, everyone left the tower and arrived beneath the great oak tree.
The demiplane had now been expanded, connecting it with the outside world.
The moon had risen to the perfect height.
Under Lewis's guidance, moonlight seemed to pour down like a waterfall, illuminating his entire body.
Lewis calmed his mind, drank the Permanent Intelligence Potion, and began the Wild Shape ritual.
Everyone held their breath and stared intently at the boy.
Lewis could faintly sense that every muscle in his body was changing, while every nerve twisted and pulled with feverish intensity.
It was as though he had suddenly awakened from a deep dream.
He discovered that his body had already been enveloped in a sea of red light.
Feathers quietly emerged from his face, like an exquisite veil, gradually covering his entire face before extending down over his neck and shoulders.
Unlike Dumbledore's Fawkes, Lewis could sense an intense Fire elemental power within his feathers, along with flashes of flame that flickered at their tips.
With just a thought from him, those feathers could immediately transform into blazing flames.
Lewis raised his hands and discovered that they were already densely covered in feathers.
His originally slender fingers were visibly changing. The gaps between his fingers gradually disappeared, tightly connecting together and weaving into a sea of feathers.
Meanwhile, his heart pounded violently like the beat of a drum, announcing that something extraordinary was happening...
With a flash of scorching light, a beautiful phoenix spread its wings before everyone.
Some of its feathers radiated a golden glow, while others shimmered with crimson flames. Its body was elegant yet enormous, bearing a resemblance to a swan.
It possessed a long, brilliantly golden tail, while its crest and talons were exceptionally long and gleamed with a golden luster. It looked like a mighty giant eagle.
