Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 - The Lost Magic of the Underworld

Breakfast went by in a surprisingly calm manner, considering the explosive personalities present at the table.

Alear, with his experience dealing with egocentric individuals and complex situations in his past life, managed the atmosphere with ease. He distributed his attention evenly among the three girls: praising Ravel's dress, lightly teasing Maria when she overdid it, and calming Mio with direct and gentle words whenever her irritation surfaced. His words, sweet as honey, were enough to maintain harmony and encourage the girls to at least make an effort to get along.

Ravel, who had already realized the need to get along with the other two, adopted a polite and strategic posture, complimenting the coffee prepared by Lotte and engaging in light conversations about the mansion. Maria, as always, maintained her provocative behavior, occasionally making mischievous remarks, but without crossing the line. Mio, although still a bit sulky, eventually accepted the situation and participated, albeit with some reluctance.

Over the next hour, the conversation flowed through various topics, from food preferences to curiosities about the Underworld and everyday stories from the mansion. Ravel remained interested and courteous, Maria laughed easily, taking every opportunity to tease, and Mio responded in her typical tsundere tone...

When breakfast ended, Lotte and the maids cleared the dishes efficiently, leaving the table spotless.

Alear leaned back in his chair, taking the last sip of his coffee before looking at Mio and Maria.

"Did you study the magic manual I gave you?"

Mio nodded, crossing her arms.

"Yes. I spent a good part of the night reading it."

Maria smiled excitedly, swinging her legs under the table.

"Me too! We both stayed up late studying it. There's a lot of difficult stuff, but it's interesting!"

Alear nodded, satisfied.

"Good. Then later we'll begin real training..."

Ravel, who had been listening in silence, lifted her gaze with visible interest.

"Magic training…? May I participate as well, Alear-sama?"

Alear looked at her and gave a slight smile.

"I don't see any problem. You can join."

Ravel smiled softly, clearly happy to be included.

Maria clapped lightly.

"Uwaaah~ This is going to be fun! Group training!"

Mio simply snorted quietly, though she didn't seem opposed.

Alear observed the three girls for a moment, a faint smile forming on his lips. However, his expression soon grew more serious, and his rose-magenta eyes took on a heavier tone as he leaned back in his chair.

"Before we begin real training later… I want to make one thing clear…" he said in a low, firm voice. "What I'm going to reveal to you today is one of my most important secrets. It's not something I share with just anyone. Consider this a demonstration of trust…"

The effect was immediate.

All three fell silent.

Mio slightly narrowed her eyes, showing curiosity mixed with tension. Maria tilted her head, her violet eyes shining with clear excitement. Ravel, on the other hand, straightened her posture, fully aware of the seriousness of the moment and the importance of his words.

None of them dared to ask questions. Alear's tone made it clear he wouldn't say more for now.

Satisfied with their reaction, he set the matter aside. There was still something he needed to ask.

"Maria..." he called, looking directly at the young succubus. "I want you to teach me the [Master-Servant] contract magic..."

The request hit the table like a bomb.

Maria widened her eyes, surprised.

"Eh…? You… know about that magic?"

Mio frowned, confused.

"Master-Servant contract…? What is that?"

Ravel, unlike the other two, was visibly shocked. Her blue eyes widened as she stared at Alear, her expression mixing surprise and disbelief. In her mind, doubt immediately arose, questioning how that magic could be in use there. In the Underworld, that technique had disappeared along with Wilbert's death and Sheila's disappearance. However, another thought quickly formed: wasn't Maria their daughter? There had even been speculation that she might know this magic, one of the main reasons many nobles of high society had devoted so much effort to finding her... Not to mention she was also helping Wilbert's daughter along with a human...

Maria tilted her head, still surprised, but with a curious smile forming on her lips.

"How did you know I knew that magic, Alear-sama?"

Alear shrugged, maintaining a calm and natural expression.

"It was just a guess. You just confirmed it for me."

Maria blinked, incredulous, then let out a wry smile. It surprised her, but not enough to shake her own plans. For some time now, she had already considered using that magic to create a link between Alear and Mio, something that would allow him to know exactly where she was and protect her more efficiently.

Of course, that was only the most "acceptable" reason.

Deep down, there was a much more personal interest behind it: she felt a particular pleasure in the idea of observing, and even recording, her Mio-sama in erotic situations with Alear-sama.

Until now, she had simply been waiting for the right opportunity to bring it up.

And faced with this situation… she couldn't help but think she would hardly find a more perfect moment. A mischievous yet satisfied smile appeared on her lips.

"It's fine… I can teach you that magic, Alear-sama. Actually, I was already thinking about using it at some point…" she said, tilting her head slightly in an innocent manner. "But wouldn't it be simpler if I were the caster myself? If you need me to teach you, that means you intend to use it, right? This magic is quite difficult to learn, you know? Even among older demons, very few can master it."

Mio, who had been ignored in the conversation until then, reacted immediately. Her pink eyes widened and she slammed her hands on the table, leaning forward.

"Wait a second! What is this all about!? Master-Servant contract!? What exactly does that magic do!? You two are going to stop talking like I'm not here and explain it properly right now!!"

Before Maria could respond with her usual teasing, Ravel spoke first. The blonde girl straightened her posture elegantly, adopting a serious and polite tone, like someone accustomed to dealing with delicate matters of high nobility.

"It is an extremely rare and powerful magic," Ravel explained clearly. "The Master-Servant Contract binds the souls of two people. It allows the master to know the servant's exact location at any moment, share part of their senses, and, most importantly… increases the strength of both as the servant's loyalty and connection to the master grows. The more loyal and devoted the servant is, the stronger they both become..."

Mio and Maria fell silent, surprised by her knowledge.

Ravel continued without losing rhythm:

"Because of this, the elders of high society consider this magic capable of one day surpassing even the importance of the [Evil Pieces]. But in reality, the Pieces serve to reincarnate other beings into devils, while the Master-Servant Contract strengthens the bond and mutual power through loyalty. They are completely different things, so that belief is nothing more than ignorance on their part… although that doesn't change the fact that they are greedy for this magic. In fact, they say this was one of the reasons the Moderate Faction grew so quickly—many joined it in hopes of obtaining it…"

The silence that followed was brief, but heavy.

Mio blinked, still processing everything.

Maria, meanwhile, let out a soft laugh, looking at Ravel with newfound interest.

"Uwaaah You're quite well-informed, huh? That's rare"

Ravel straightened her posture even more, a faint gleam of pride appearing in her blue eyes as she received the surprised looks of the other two.

"Naturally, I know many things about various subjects..." she said in an elegant tone, without excessive arrogance. "As a daughter of the Phenex Family, I was educated from an early age to understand politics, ancient magic, and the secrets of the Underworld. It would not be appropriate for me to be ignorant about these matters."

Maria let out a soft laugh, clearly impressed, while Mio simply snorted, though she also seemed somewhat surprised by the blonde girl's knowledge.

Maria then turned her gaze back to Alear, who had remained silent during Ravel's explanation. With a curious and mischievous smile, she tilted her head.

"So, Alear-sama… what do you choose? Do you want to learn the magic, or would you prefer that I be the caster myself?"

Alear thought for a brief moment before answering calmly:

"I don't mind you being the caster. I just need you to use it later. Is that possible?"

Maria widened her eyes, genuinely surprised by the direct answer.

"Eh…? You want to use this magic on someone?"

Alear nodded without hesitation.

"Yes. I plan to use it on you and Mio. That way, both of you can grow stronger quickly through the bond."

The silence that followed was almost tangible.

Mio stiffened in her chair, her face flushing slightly as she processed his words. Maria, on the other hand, broke into a wide and satisfied smile, her violet eyes shining with excitement and something deeper...

"I see~" Maria murmured, lightly biting her lower lip. "If that is Alear-sama's wish… then it's fine with me."

Mio hesitated for a second, clearly agitated, but after looking at Alear and seeing his calm and determined expression, she let out a resigned sigh, crossing her arms tightly (which made her breasts press together in an impressive way).

"…If it's to become stronger and be useful… then… fine. I accept too."

Ravel, who had been observing everything attentively, couldn't hold back. She leaned slightly forward, her blue eyes filled with determination.

"Alear-sama… I would also like to receive this magic. I want to become stronger to be more useful to you."

Alear looked at her, raising an eyebrow.

"Are you sure, Ravel?"

Ravel nodded without hesitation, her face slightly flushed, but her voice firm:

"Yes. I'm sure."

Alear observed the three girls for a moment, a faint satisfied smile appearing on his lips.

"Then it's decided."

Maria clapped lightly, clearly excited about how things were unfolding.

"Kyaa! This is going to be interesting When are we going to do it, Alear-sama?"

Alear watched the girls' reactions for a moment, satisfied with their willingness. He took the last sip of his coffee and placed the cup on the table with a soft clink.

"We'll do it later," he said in a calm and decisive tone. "Right now, I have some matters to handle in the office. When I'm done, I'll take the three of you to a private location where we can begin training without interruptions."

The girls nodded almost at the same time.

Maria smiled excitedly, swinging her legs under the table.

"Understood~ I'll get properly prepared!"

Mio snorted quietly, crossing her arms, but didn't hide the glimmer of anticipation in her eyes.

"…Alright. I'll go change, then."

Ravel, in turn, tilted her head elegantly, though her blue eyes clearly showed excitement.

"I will prepare as well, Alear-sama."

Alear stood up from his chair, adjusting his clothes.

"Until then, wear clothes suitable for moving freely. Nothing too tight or formal. The training won't be light."

He gave one last look at the three before turning toward the office, knowing that Venelana would appear soon and he would have to have a conversation with her about the Phenex family meeting and her suggestion he hadn't followed. That would be interesting...
