At the office—
Things felt different.
Everywhere Ananya went, someone was watching.
Security.
Aarav's presence.
Even when he wasn't there—
She could feel him.
Rohit approached her again.
"You okay?" he asked.
"You've been quiet."
"I'm fine," she replied.
He frowned.
"Doesn't look like it."
Before she could respond—
Aarav appeared behind her.
"She's fine."
Rohit sighed.
"You don't need to answer for her."
Aarav stepped closer.
"I'm not answering. I'm making it clear."
Rohit crossed his arms.
"You don't trust her?"
"I don't trust you."
Silence.
Ananya stepped between them.
"Enough!"
Both men looked at her.
"I'm not a problem to be solved," she said firmly.
"And I don't belong to anyone."
Aarav's expression softened.
But his voice stayed low.
"You belong where you feel safe."
Her heart skipped.
Because for a second—
That place felt like him.
