"Hey, punk. Didn't you say you came here for a martial arts exchange? Well, isn't this perfect?"

Raian Kure towered over Lu Li at 188 centimeters. He looked down, his expression dripping with pure, unadulterated provocation. "I am the absolute strongest in this clan. And I'm going to be the one who kills you."

Faced with Raian's blatant, suffocating killing intent, Lu Li just grinned. "I've heard the rumors about the Kure Clan's 'Majin', but your bloodlust is seriously off the charts. Like I said, I'm just here for a friendly martial arts exchange. I don't intend to kill anyone."

"Hah?"

Raian tilted his head, his pitch-black eyes staring at Lu Li as if he were looking at an absolute moron. "What's the point of a 'friendly spar'? If we want a deep 'exchange', obviously we have to go all out and fight to the death!"

Watching the two men lock horns, Fusui felt the situation rapidly spiraling out of control. Just as panic began to set in, she caught sight of a savior out of the corner of her eye.

Standing at the top of the ancient stone steps, overlooking the Torii gate, was an emaciated old man with his hands clasped behind his back. He was smiling down at them with a grandfatherly warmth. It was Erioh Kure, the Patriarch of the Kure Clan.

"Well, isn't this interesting? He's a guest from afar, Raian. Entertain him properly."

The old man's casual words caused Fusui's heart to plummet straight into an icy abyss.

She desperately wanted to scream at the Patriarch that this man, Lu Li, was unimaginably dangerous. If they kept it as a controlled spar, it might be fine. But letting an unhinged psychopath like Raian "entertain" him guaranteed a bloodbath.

If Lu Li died, the Kure could easily cover it up. But what if Raian was the one who died?

"Heh. It's rare for me and the old man to agree on something. This is the first time I've ever seen someone arrogant enough to waltz in here demanding a 'martial arts exchange'." Raian kept his hands in his pockets, leaning forward menacingly. "How could I possibly let you leave without slowly butchering you to pieces first?"

"I have to admit," Lu Li said, staring dead into Raian's manic, arrogant face. "You're even more arrogant than I imagined. You're so arrogant it's actually rotted your brain."

Veins immediately bulged across Raian's forehead. His killing intent erupted like a volcano. "You've got a lot of nerve, punk! Are you really that eager to reincarnate?!"

Lu Li shook his head slowly. "I'm saying... if I genuinely wanted to kill you, you would have already died dozens of times over by now. You still haven't realized exactly what is standing in front of you."

Consumed by absolute, blinding rage, Raian didn't even bother waiting to relocate to the clan's training grounds. He instantly cocked his fist back to deliver a lethal blow.

But someone was vastly faster.

Lu Li casually stepped back, pivoting his waist and launching an open-palm strike. The strike connected dead center on Raian's chest, violently launching his massive frame into the air like a ragdoll. Raian flew backward, landing heavily at the very top of the stone steps, directly beside Patriarch Erioh Kure.

Raian scrambled to his feet, his face twisted in utter disbelief. Looking down, he saw a stark, red handprint branded directly over his heart.

Beside him, Erioh's eyes narrowed into terrifying slits.

"I held back because I wanted to give you the chance to use Removal..." Lu Li said, slowly lowering his stance. He glanced up at the Torii gate and the surrounding architecture. "Do you guys not have a proper arena? I'd rather not wreck this historic site."

"Hahaha! Interesting! Truly fascinating, brat! Raian!" Erioh barked, instantly halting Raian's frantic, murderous sprint back down the stairs. "Escort our esteemed guest to the Dojo! And you better cool your damn head. Use every single technique you've learned. Do not embarrass this clan!"

Raian's face contorted with supreme irritation, but under the Patriarch's suffocating glare, he reluctantly yielded. He dragged his thumb across his throat, glaring down at Lu Li. "Let's go. To the execution grounds."

Lu Li casually ascended the stone steps, following a deeply pale and nervous Fusui. As he passed by Erioh Kure, Lu Li sighed nostalgically. "So this is the First Fang of Metsudo. Time is a cruel mistress. I would have loved to see you in your prime."

Erioh's eyes flickered with genuine surprise, before the wrinkled skin on his face twitched into a terrifying smile. "Brat... it seems you've done your homework. But make no mistake, even now, killing you would not be a difficult task for this old man."

Lu Li flashed a feral grin. "I came here to make friends through martial arts. But I wouldn't mind experiencing the absolute pinnacle of the Kure Clan's assassination arts."

"Young man, survive Raian first. Then we will talk," Erioh replied, his eyes completely hiding any trace of killing intent.

Lu Li didn't say another word. He followed Raian.

A short time later, they arrived at the Kure Clan Dojo. A massive crowd had already gathered. News of the arrogant foreigner challenging the clan's undisputed prodigy had spread like wildfire, and everyone was eager to watch the slaughter.

As Erioh entered, the crowd instantly parted, giving the Patriarch the absolute best view of the arena.

"He's strong... Is this Lu Li guy really just a smuggled fugitive?" muttered Hollis Kure, the "Crying Demon," his brow furrowing deeply. As one of the absolute strongest fighters in the clan, one glance was enough for him to realize Lu Li was no ordinary thug. He has to be a master of ancient Eastern martial arts.

"Raian. I grant you permission to use our clan's secret technique. Go all out," Erioh announced, officially commencing the match.

Raian stuck his tongue out, violently mocking Lu Li. "Punk. I'm going to rip all four of your limbs off. I'm going to make you beg and regret that you didn't run when you had the chance!"

Lu Li sighed heavily and looked back at Erioh. "Maybe you should step in instead, old man. Your 'prodigy' seems highly overrated. He still hasn't grasped the core issue here."

Erioh himself seemed deeply irritated by Raian's arrogance. Feeling a profound loss of face, he roared at his grandson. "You absolute moron! Activate Removal immediately! He just gave you another massive handicap!"

With his millennium-honed combat instincts, Erioh could clearly see that Lu Li was an absolute anomaly. Even though Lu Li's frame wasn't nearly as massive as Raian's, and his musculature didn't bulge grotesquely, his baseline physical power was terrifyingly unnatural. Erioh conservatively estimated Lu Li's base physical stats were vastly superior to the majority of the Kure Clan members even while they were using Removal.

Even with Raian's unprecedented 100% Removal rate, his raw physical output would likely only be marginally higher than Lu Li's base state.

Therefore, Lu Li's earlier palm strike hadn't been an arrogant bluff. If he had wanted to, he genuinely could have killed Raian instantly. He had intentionally pulled his punch because he wanted to test himself against Raian at his absolute peak.

"Shut up! You're all so damn noisy!" Raian roared back.

As his fury boiled over, his skin rapidly shifted into a deep, necrotic purple-black. Bulging, grotesque veins crawled across his entire body, looking like terrifying streaks of dark lightning tearing through his flesh.

As Removal fully activated, Raian's aura violently exploded. His bloodlust skyrocketed to apocalyptic levels. In this state, he truly looked like a demonic Majin descended from hell.

Sensing the massive surge in Raian's combat power, Lu Li finally smiled, genuine excitement bleeding into his eyes. "That's more like it. Now you're actually worth beating down."

He had noticed it the moment he arrived in this world: the martial artists here generally possessed incredibly poor "Spiritual Perception." Even without an active, systemic scanning skill, Lu Li could generally gauge an opponent's raw stat block just by sensing their physical aura.

But Raian clearly lacked this instinct entirely. He had spent the last ten minutes arrogantly posturing and bragging, utterly oblivious to the fact that his base attributes were probably hovering around a dozen points, while Lu Li's were significantly higher. Even now, fully powered by Removal, Raian's stats were only barely scraping past Lu Li's base numbers.

"Hah?! Let's see you talk that shit after I tear you to pieces!"

Raian dropped into a wide, aggressive stance. He pulled his elbows back, his back muscles bulging grotesquely. He couldn't suppress his suffocating bloodlust any longer.

He was going to charge forward, completely crush this arrogant bastard, tear him limb from limb, and listen to him scream in agony. He would make this arrogant foreigner understand who was the absolute strongest!

With a violent crack of the wooden floorboards, Raian launched himself forward with explosive velocity, instantly closing the gap.

Maintaining his wide, staggered stance, he violently twisted his hips and unleashed a devastating double-punch—one aimed directly at Lu Li's gut, the other rocketing toward his face.

It was the Kure Clan Tradition: [Mountain Breaker]!

But the devastating dual strike never landed.

Lu Li smoothly raised his hands, bringing his open palms up. With surgical precision, he slapped one of Raian's fists upward and parried the other downward, flawlessly redirecting the catastrophic kinetic force wide of his body.

Using the momentum of the redirected strikes pulling Raian off balance, Lu Li violently exploded upward, driving his knee viciously into Raian's jaw.

CRACK—!

The massive impact violently snapped Raian's head backward. Teeth and blood sprayed into the air. The concussive shockwave traveled straight through his jawbone and directly into his brain. Even with his peerless Kure genetics and the absolute physical reinforcement of 100% Removal, the blunt force trauma was too extreme. Raian's consciousness blanked out for a split second.

Lu Li didn't stop. Stepping smoothly into the opening as Raian hung suspended mid-air, suffering a massive concussion, Lu Li launched a devastating straight punch directly into Raian's chest, violently blasting him backward.

BOOM—!

Raian violently slammed into the dojo wall, spiderwebbing the reinforced concrete. His eyes rolled completely back into his head, showing only the white sclera, as his massive, purple-black body slowly slid down the wall and collapsed into an unconscious heap on the floorboards.
