Kyle closed his eyes.
He focused on his breathing, slowing it down, deepening it. He relaxed his muscles, letting the tension drain from his body.
He pushed his will into the skill [Green World].
The world dissolved.
For a moment, there was nothing but darkness. Then — green. A pale, emerald glow that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. He felt a slight dizziness, as if the world were tilting beneath him.
Then the feeling passed.
He opened his eyes.
He was standing in a massive courtyard. The sky above him was a deep, swirling green, shot through with veins of gold and black. And in that sky, hanging like a wound in the fabric of the world, was an eclipse.
A black sun. Darker than the space around it. It cast no normal light. Instead, it created a strange, otherworldly twilight — half-lit, half-shadowed, everything caught between day and night.
"So this is the Green World," Vyle said. "The eclipse must have happened because the class got devoured."
