Darian didn't have a sword. He didn't have a bow. In fact, he didn't have any weapon at all!
He didn't even have wings or a dark halo or anything else that could make him fly.
Yet he resisted and did not back down.
His body twisted and turned, dodging Ceres's swings by inches. His hand waved, and a wall of fire rose from the ground to block the arrows. He snapped his fingers, and a bolt of lightning struck the spot where Eryas had been floating a moment before.
He waved his hand again, and a storm of winds rose that pushed Ceres's white fire away from him. Then he raised his hand, and several sharp ice spikes formed. He shouted at her.
Fire. Ice. Lightning. Wind. Light. Shadow.
Darian used them all.
The elements bent to his will like loyal servants. Fire, ice, wind, lightning — each one appeared at his command, flowing seamlessly into the next.
Kyle's eyes widened.
`He controls elements. Multiple elements!`
