Chapter 84 - 85 Zhang Lexuan's Performance

Kong Deming walked out of the bedroom and came into the outer hall.

The two brothers, Xu Tianran and Xu Tianhao, who had originally been conversing in low voices, stopped talking almost at the same time and turned around, looking respectfully at him as he approached.

Kong Deming waved his hand, and an invisible force of space instantly permeated the area, silently enveloping the bedroom behind him to form a tight spatial barrier that completely cut off the transmission of sound.

This ensured that not a single word of their subsequent conversation would reach the ears of Zhang Lexuan inside the room.

After doing all this, Kong Deming spoke slowly in a calm tone: "It seems that this girl's emotions have basically stabilized, and her spirit power and physical condition have recovered quite well."

"However, it is hard to say at the moment how much she will ultimately be able to accept, and to what extent."

Upon hearing this, Xu Tianhao curled his lips into a calm smile. He nodded slightly and said in a relaxed tone: "No matter. As long as she doesn't make a scene, crying and screaming, and refuses to cooperate, the rest of the matters won't be a problem. We have our own ways to guide her slowly."

Xu Tianran also nodded slightly. His eyes were full of respect as he looked at Kong Deming and said: "Elder Kong, thank you for your hard work and care this time."

"Leave the rest of the matters to me and Tianhao to handle. You may rest at ease."

Upon hearing this, Kong Deming said no more. He just nodded slightly, then walked to the main seat on one side of the hall, sat down silently, and closed his eyes to rest.

Time passed slowly. The hall was silent, so quiet that a pin drop could be heard. After about a quarter of an hour, the door to the bedroom was slowly pushed open.

Zhang Lexuan, fully dressed, walked out of the room.

She had changed into a light purple dress prepared for her by the maid.

The hem of the skirt was embroidered with exquisite intertwined flower patterns, which set off her slender figure and gentle temperament, yet could not hide the trace of solemnity and aloofness deep in her eyes.

When her gaze fell on the two brothers, Xu Tianran and Xu Tianhao, in the center of the hall, her eyes fluctuated slightly, and a complex emotion welled up in her heart.

She was not unfamiliar with these two princes.

Xu Tianran was the Crown Prince of the Sun Moon Empire who had crushed everyone with absolute strength and defeated her personally during the All-Continent Advanced Spirit Master Academy Soul Duel Tournament back then.

He was also the only person in the younger generation to have defeated her.

That formidable strength and steady demeanor were deeply imprinted in the depths of her memory.

Three years later, the Xu Tianran before her had not changed much; he was still as tall, straight, and noble as ever, and the steady temperament around him was even better than before.

Now he had added a bit of maturity and majesty from having experienced the world, and his every move revealed the demeanor of a royal Crown Prince.

As for Xu Tianhao on the side, the change could be described as earth-shattering.

Zhang Lexuan clearly remembered that three years ago during the tournament, Xu Tianhao appeared in the spectator stand along with three other Sun Moon Empire youths.

At that time, Xu Tianhao should have been only seven years old, still a childish kid.

She had only secretly paid a little attention to him at the time and didn't take it to heart.

But now that three years had passed, the young man before her seemed to have grown up overnight, as if time had accelerated by ten years for him.

The current Xu Tianhao had almost shed all the childishness of a child, becoming steady, wise, and extraordinary in temperament.

Whether it was his speech and behavior or the aura around him, he looked in no way inferior to his older brother, Xu Tianran.

He was even a cut above in that gentle and introverted temperament.

Even at such a young age, he had already revealed a sharp edge that could not be ignored.

After just a simple glance at the two, Zhang Lexuan immediately withdrew her gaze, not daring to linger any longer.

She suppressed all the complex emotions in her heart, walked step by step to the brothers, bowed slightly, and performed a standard salute with a respectful posture.

Zhang Lexuan's voice was soft but steady: "Zhang Lexuan greets the Crown Prince and the Sixth Highness."

Seeing Zhang Lexuan's calm, composed, and well-mannered actions, Xu Tianran and Xu Tianhao quickly exchanged a look without changing their expressions.

As their eyes met, both brothers saw a tacit smile in each other's eyes.

Zhang Lexuan was able to maintain such a calm state even after experiencing all this.

And she was still able to treat them with courtesy, without any hysteria or resistance; this was actually enough to prove the many thoughts and compromises deep in her heart.

Sometimes, many choices do not have to be spoken aloud to count.

A person's eyes, posture, and actions are enough to prove everything.

Zhang Lexuan's actions at this moment had already given them the answer they wanted most.

Facing Zhang Lexuan, who was bowing respectfully.

Xu Tianran stepped forward, reached out a hand with distinct knuckles, and gently helped her up, his tone gentle: "No need for such formalities, please sit."

His movements were calm and elegant, without any of the condescension of a royal Crown Prince; instead, there was a touch of appropriate respect.

This caused the strong sense of awkwardness in the heart of Zhang Lexuan, who had been tensed up, to ease slightly.

Zhang Lexuan sat down slowly on the soft chair opposite the two brothers as instructed, her posture upright and reserved, her back slightly straight.

Her hands were placed naturally on her knees, fully displaying the dignified demeanor of a lady from a great family, yet a trace of hard-to-conceal uneasiness and wariness remained hidden deep in her eyes.

As soon as she sat down, Xu Tianhao picked up a cup of pre-prepared tea from the table, held it with both hands, and handed it to Zhang Lexuan, his brows and eyes carrying a gentleness and propriety that belied his age as he said softly: "Please."

"Thank you." Zhang Lexuan quickly reached out both hands and carefully took the teacup.

She lifted her slender hand, her fingertips gently pinching the warm cup wall, lowered her head slightly, and took a small sip of the tea in the cup.

The moment it entered her mouth, Zhang Lexuan was slightly startled, and a trace of imperceptible surprise flashed in her eyes.

This cup of tea was not at all a traditional tea with a bitter taste, but a fruit tea with a sweet, mellow, and faint fruity fragrance.

The tea soup was clear and had a sweet aftertaste, with a soft texture. It had no bitterness at all, but instead revealed a refreshing sweetness.

It happened to hit her preferences exactly; it was the flavor she preferred most in her daily life.

Zhang Lexuan was secretly surprised, but she quickly came back to her senses.

On second thought, this seemed to be reasonable.

According to all the information she had previously grasped, the Xu Tianhao before her was only about ten years old now, so he naturally would not prefer traditional tea drinks with a heavy, bitter taste.

And even Xu Tianran, who was the Crown Prince, was the same age as her, only twenty-two years old.

Both were young people, so it was not strange that their preferences leaned towards sweet and refreshing fruit tea.

Xu Tianhao caught Zhang Lexuan's subtle expression, the corners of his lips raised slightly, revealing a clean and cunning smile, and he took the initiative to ask: "How is the taste?"

Zhang Lexuan slowly put down the teacup in her hand, forced herself to recover from the surprise just now, forced a faint but sincere smile at Xu Tianhao, and responded softly: "It is very delicious."

These three words were not polite perfunctory remarks, but feelings from the bottom of her heart.

The taste of this fruit tea did indeed make her tense heartstrings relax a little.

Seeing her give a positive reply, the smile in Xu Tianhao's eyes deepened. He then turned his head to look at Xu Tianran, who was sitting upright beside him, and said slowly: "As long as you are satisfied; this was personally prepared by Big Brother."

As soon as these words came out, Zhang Lexuan paused slightly, unable to help but lift her head to take another look at Xu Tianran.

Her gaze was full of disbelief, and a considerable ripple stirred in her heart.

The Crown Prince of a country, busy with ten thousand tasks, shouldering the heavy responsibility of the Sun Moon Empire's Crown Prince, having to handle state affairs, cultivate spirit power, and coordinate various forces, should logically have time so precious that every second counts.

How could he have the leisure and the intention to personally prepare such a cup of fruit tea that suited her taste for her?

This really exceeded her expectations and also gave her a whole new level of understanding of the Crown Prince before her who had defeated her on the competition field.
