Principal Patrick bowed respectfully as Xander Emerson walked out of his office.
But the moment they stepped outside, Taylor could not hold back his question.
"Boss, why did you spare Nate's homeroom teacher?" he asked, walking alongside Xander until they reached the car.
Just as Xander was about to step in, he paused.
"Because Patrick is going to handle him."
With that, he got into the car.
Taylor tilted his head, clearly confused. But instead of questioning further, he simply shrugged it off and slid into the passenger seat beside the driver.
Meanwhile, back inside the principal's office, Patrick had just survived what felt like a full-scale war.
For a moment, he leaned back in his chair, trying to steady his breathing.

The nervousness vanished.
