The sound came in again.

a flicker in his vision.

"Signals reach this place?"
The comms cracked to life.
"—Unidentified unit, respond—"
Akane's eyes sharpened.
"Control, this is akane squad seven"
Silence.
Then—

The voice felt.

"Akane, how the hell did you reach this place?"
"Tanako huh, the ship crashed, but luckily the two had already left" Akane replied.
Behind him—
the infected was still closing in.

A pause.
Then—
Tanako laughed slightly.

Akane smirked slightly.

As akane realized the creature was closing their distance.
he ran faster.
The terrain is rising up.
Broken vehicles scattered everywhere.
He scanned each one.
Useless.
Then—
one caught his eye.
Half-buried in snow.
Missing doors.
Headlights gone.
Bumper destroyed.

It's engine was functional.
Barely.
Akane changed direction instantly.
The infected crashed but immidiently chased him.

He reached the vehicle—
forced the only door open—
and got inside.

Akane tried to start the car.

Behind him—
the infected leapt onto the hood.
Claws scraping metal—

His armors ai hacked the car.
The engine roared to life.
Loud.
Violent.
The car surged forward.
The infected lost its grip—
thrown off—
but didn't stop.
It ran.
Still chasing.
Akane pushed the vehicle harder.
The engine screamed.
Barely holding.
The terrain was unstable—
debris everywhere—
but he didn't slow.
Comms lit up again.
"Im below you!" Tanako said.
Akane hesitated.
"I am!, not doing this!" He replied

Akane didn't answer.
Instead—
he pushed the car even harder.

The infected didn't stop.
Getting closer—
Slowly catching up

he saw it.
The bridge.

A massive gap split the road.

nothing but frozen depth.
Comms activated.
"Clutch this up dude" akane said.
"I mastered flying ships, dude" tanako replied.
Akane laughed.
"Really?, then this is your test"

"Have faith in me twin" tanako replied"
Then-
One of his tires suddenly popped.
Then the others.
"Fuck, fuck" akane said.
The car dirifted violently.
Suddenly-
The infected climbed into the trunk
Akane tighter his grip.
Steering the car violently to shake the infected off.
The infecteds grip weakend.
He got no more time.
The bridge is ending.
"Switch to 32 mph now!" Akane said.
Silence.
"We have one shot!" Tanako said.
He accelerated.
Full throttle.
The engine screamed like it was tearing itself apart.
The car forced harder.
Running 30 mph.
toward the back of a broken car
Flattened.
Perfect for a ramp.
The infecteds left hand gave up.
But it still held tight.
Akane didn't slow.
Didn't hesitate.
He hit the car-
and launched.
The car flew.
And below-
Tanako's dropship flying 32 mph.
back door opening slowly.
And then tanako steered hard upright.
Silence.
Then-
The car managed to land but-
Akane quickly left the car and clung onto the ship.
Behind him.
The car weighing 1,200 kg in total gave up and fell.
Then-
BOOM!.
The ramp door shut.
Then the comms inside the ship activated.
"Yo!!, akane how'd u even survive" tanako said.
"Fuck you"
Both laughed.
"You ready for the next order later?" Tanako said.
