Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Special Training Begins

"Lean forward, maintain your balance!" Xisuo stood on the surfboard, shouting loudly at Niula beside him, "Don't resist the waves, you can't withstand the power of the sea. Adapt to it, then conquer it..."

"Niu~"

Niula struggled to control the surfboard beneath her feet, trying her best not to fall into the surging waves. At this moment, mechanical gravity rings were fastened to her wrists and legs.

Xisuo had only installed one gravity bead on each mechanical ring at first, each weighing 10 kg, totaling 40 kg. If they were on flat ground, 40kg would be acceptable for Niula, but now she was standing on a surfboard battling the waves with mechanical gravity rings. The slightest carelessness could result in being smashed into the water by an oncoming wave.

In his past life, Xisuo was not only a top student in mathematics and finance but also an extreme sports enthusiast. He was proficient in skateboarding, parkour, and surfing.

Surfing, in particular, was his favorite. Surfing not only strengthens one's physique but also cultivates courage and a spirit of perseverance when facing adversity.

Today, the weather was great, the sea breeze was strong, making it unsuitable for swimming but perfect for surfing. At that moment, accompanied by the roar of the surging tide, a giant wave, as tall as a three-story building, formed behind the duo.

Xisuo's expression slightly tightened. Surfing was not just about experiencing excitement; every extreme sport carried immense dangers. If a wave this size crashed down on one's back, it could cause internal bleeding. Moreover, being swept underwater by a wave made it easy to suffocate from the surging bubbles rising from the depths.

One couldn't resist; one had to learn to use its momentum to ascend. Xisuo's body began to lean forward slightly, his legs squatting down to stabilize his center of gravity. Niula imitated his movements, squatting down to stabilize her own center of gravity.

The giant wave roared!

Xisuo sensed the wave's trajectory and immediately shouted, "Lean back, angled to the side!"

The giant wave, like the hand of the sea god, crashed forward with the force to destroy everything. However, Xisuo and Niula stood firmly at the center of its palm, using this force to glide forward rapidly. The waves soaked their bodies and hair, but could not conceal their excitement at conquering the giant wave.

"Perfect!"

Xisuo and Niula high-fived each other, then, panting heavily, they lay back on the beach, looking up at the clear blue sky, with the occasional cries of unknown seabirds reaching their ears.

Weight training combined with surfing was a form of extreme training that Xisuo had devised for Niula. It was still in the adaptation phase, after all, Niula had only just learned how to surf. When he started teaching her this morning, the competitive little girl had swallowed a lot of seawater.

As her proficiency gradually increased, Xisuo would begin to increase her weight. The only goal for this week was to master street knife.

"Time to eat!"

Darkness fell before his eyes, and Lulu's adorable face approached, blocking Xisuo's vision.

"Stare..."

The human and Pokemon stared at each other in silence. Xisuo, having lived two lives, had a thick enough skin. He placed his hands behind his head and stared straight into Lulu's ruby-like pupils.

A blush appeared on Lulu's snow-white face. The little girl finally couldn't withstand this gaze any longer. Using her psychic powers, she controlled a handful of sand and threw it at Xisuo's face, then teleported away in an instant.

"Xisuo, you're the worst!" The girl's indignant voice echoed from afar.

"Ah, my eyes..." Xisuo rolled around on the beach. He had opened his eyes so wide just now, and then Lulu had suddenly thrown a handful of sand at him. This feeling was simply, simply awful.

Lunch was very lavish. Being on a seaside vacation naturally meant enjoying a seafood feast.

Lulu's cooking skills could be said to be top-notch. As a psychic-type Pokemon with immense mental power, she learned any skill very quickly. Grilled, fried, boiled, stewed dishes, desserts, and seafood soup - there was no shortage of anything, filling the entire long table.

When training Pokemon, Xisuo never slacked off. Instead, he trained alongside the Pokemon. This not only cultivated mutual affection and understanding but, more importantly, when the owner trained with the Pokemon, their simple and direct minds would feel valued, and they would exert themselves to the fullest.

They would feel ashamed and sad for not meeting their master's expectations, and would feel joyous and boundless for even the slightest praise from their master.

This was Pokemon, the spirits of this world, the darlings of the world. Therefore, the more people Xisuo met, the more he preferred to be with Pokemon.

A morning of high-intensity training had exhausted Xisuo and Niula. This table full of seafood looked like a lot, but it wasn't nearly enough for the two starving ghosts before them.

Niula stepped forward and grabbed a large sea shrimp that was being grilled on the grill. This sea shrimp was as thick as a child's arm, roasted red-hot over the charcoal fire, sprinkled with spices and sauces that complemented the original flavor of the seafood - it was truly irresistible.

Her claws lightly sliced through the head of the giant shrimp, all the way to its tail, then, with both hands, she peeled it open to the left and right, and the translucent shrimp meat came into view.

Niula looked at the food in her hands, thought for a moment, then endured her rumbling stomach and carefully placed the peeled shrimp into a plate, then carried it to her master, who was struggling to peel shrimp shells.

"For me?" Xisuo put down the messy shrimp he was peeling and looked at the uniformly arranged shrimp meat in the plate, his face reddening for the first time.

"Thank you, Niula."

"Niu~"

Niula coldly waved her hand, returned to the grill, picked up another grilled shrimp, and continued to lightly slice with her claws. The shrimp meat fell into the plate, and as she took a bite, the Q-elastic, tender, flavorful taste made Niula close her eyes in happiness.

When she was wandering alone in the wilderness, she had never imagined that she would have days like these. When hungry, she would eat tree berries, or hunt Pokemon weaker than herself. When thirsty, she would drink rainwater or river water. Competing for territory with powerful opponents, injuries were commonplace.

But the feeling of being cared for and valued was really good! Niula felt that her life was so happy and beautiful now. Although the daily training was a bit tiring, her master was always by her side, and this fatigue gradually faded away.
