Struck head-on by a move it was weak against, the Onix relied on its formidable defense and ample stamina to weather the blow. It feigned a look of unbearable agony to lull its opponent into a false sense of security, then unleashed a blustering Iron Tail to mask the following Rock Throw...
Hisoka couldn't help but stroke his chin, sighing in admiration. "This one plays the game deep!" It seemed this Onix was a seasoned veteran, capable of devising such a tactical routine in so short a time.
Given its wealth of battle experience, Hisoka was actually tempted to capture it. It would make an excellent tank, and its strength would be nothing to scoff at once it evolved into a Steelix.
The Onix shook its massive stone head. The burning pain on its back made it uneasy, but the result was worth it. The intruder who had dared to invade its territory and injure its lackeys was now sprawled helplessly before it. All that remained was to finish the enemy for good.
At that thought, a flicker of murderous intent flashed in the Onix's pale eyes. Its massive tail rose high, waiting to come crashing down to end everything tonight.
"Lulu, get ready to rescue!" Hisoka said, tightening his collar as he looked at the Ralts beside him. He hadn't traveled all this way just to let the Onix kill a Sneasel right in front of him.
"Lulu understands!" the little one replied with a nod. With a wave of her small hand, five eight-millimeter steel balls hovered in the air, all aimed at the Onix's most vulnerable points its eyes. She only awaited Hisoka's command to let the opponent taste her "Italian Cannon," though she still didn't quite understand what her master meant by that phrase.
A crisis of life and death was imminent; the Reaper's scythe had already been raised.
Due to the intense pain, the Sneasel had bitten its own lip until it bled. "Snea... sel..." It let out a piercing, sharp screech. This blood-curdling cry caused the Onix's body to tremble violently, and a sliver of fear began to spread in its heart.
In that critical moment, the Sneasel used Roar, forcing the Onix to pause for a split second. Taking advantage of that brief window, the Sneasel raised its left hand and chopped down hard on its already fractured right arm. With a dull crack, the Sneasel's right arm went completely limp, hanging like a wet noodle.
Hisoka couldn't imagine just how much that must have hurt. He was utterly shocked by the scene unfolding before him. He had suffered many injuries in both his past and present lives, but they paled in comparison to this. In that petite figure, he seemed to see a man of indomitable spirit.
The Sneasel knelt on one knee, its body trembling uncontrollably. Perhaps, regardless of the outcome, its fate was already sealed by such a heavy injury.
As the negative effects of the Roar wore off, the Onix recovered and flew into a rage. This reckless little insect still dared to resist? Its Iron Tail whipped out with a sonic boom, sweeping forward horizontally...
The Sneasel stomped both legs against the ground, and its figure suddenly vanished. It was Agility. Dragging its broken arm, it leaped steadily onto the Onix's sweeping tail. Focusing every ounce of its attention, it began to fully utilize its advantage in speed.
The Onix smashed frantically against the surrounding rocks, trying to knock the little pest off its body. But it was in vain. Chaining Agility and Quick Attack together,
the Sneasel successfully reached the stone horn in the center of the Onix's head. It leaped high, its left arm cocked in a chopping motion. As it unleashed the move, the muscles in its left arm bulged visibly!
Crack!
The sound of shattering rock echoed. The Onix's massive serpentine body suddenly tensed. Its bell-sized pupils lost all luster in an instant. Then, its body fell forward powerlessly, kicking up a cloud of dust ten feet high.
The Sneasel leaped down from the Onix's head and leaned its back against the fallen giant, its left hand gripping its mangled right arm. Its consciousness was fading, and its body looked ready to collapse at any moment.
At that time, the Geodudes who had been hiding nearby swarmed out. Seeing their boss defeated so miserably, they were consumed with rage. They wouldn't have dared to provoke the Sneasel in its prime, but they were bold enough to gang up on one that looked like it had only one breath left.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Several muffled thuds rang out as three Geodudes were sent flying back, instantly losing their ability to battle. A steel ball was embedded in each of their foreheads.
"If you don't want a beating, get lost!" Utilizing the Ralts' Teleport, Hisoka suddenly appeared in the middle of the Geodudes' circle.
Seeing the fate of their three companions who had acted as the vanguard, the surrounding Geodudes froze. they blinked at each other, unsure of what to do. They were unwilling to let the intruder walk away so arrogantly, but they were also terrified.
