Reina's dark circles looked much more prominent than Rin recalled seeing them, and even her legs looked unsteady. She was walking around the place with a blank expression on her face.
In fact, Rin was willing to bet that she did not even notice him when she walked past him in the corridor, and he had to call out to her to remind her of his presence.
"Hey, are you alright? You look…tired…"
Rin did not want to offend Reina, so he chose the most neutral words he could find to address her.
But Reina just blinked at him with the same blank expression she had worn this whole time as she stared off into space.
It was difficult to tell if she had heard him or not, but she was clearly not answering his question. So he opened his mouth to ask Reina the same question again.
Only this time, he did not need to ask her because she snapped out of her daze and decided to answer his question.
