Shelly tightened her grip on Rin as she spoke these words. Her tone served as a warning for the others to not question her.
The people in the truck felt unsettled by Shelly's actions. She was cuddling Rin, but the air around her warned everyone not to take a step toward her.
All they could do was watch her take care of Rin with a frown on their faces.
Shelly noticed their passive aggression toward her, but she did not care. All she cared about was Rin, who was fast asleep on her lap.
Her hands reached toward Rin's face to play with his hair and he twitched. It made Shelly's heart skip a beat in relief.
Rin was not dead.
