It's funny how things move fast when you least care . It's been three years since he has been in search of the Joeng clan ,but he couldn't find solid evidence and even the girl he met never showed up at that mountain place again . He decided to focus on his coronation and care less about the bride he had to choose, his mother was just a person who created hassles after the other. He even decided to grow stronger, power makes people yield thats what his father taught him , but in the lessons of that he tmalsp reminded him that his people were not vessels but actual humans like he is. So fair leadership should always be presented at all times despite his status and power as the new king. He should put himself in the shoes of his people to meet a better agreement and give out best solutions.
Of course this meant more time fixing the corruption occurring in many regions of his people . He disguised himself as a commoner from time to time or even a chief officer to evict the ones that started corruption to people trying to make ends meet. And today was one of those days, he wore a dull attire , brown pants, brown shirt and hid his face under a hat , Theodore walked beside him , "A nobleman should wear noble ."he commented to Theodore, "Aren't we just investigating for now?Does it really matter what we wear ?"he replies and Ryun only glares at him . "Fine , I'll get better clothes next time. " he says and they just keep interacting with stalls and people there. A girl runs past him , pushing him back . "Seriously !."he gets up ready to yell but he sees the girl . Her , the mountain girl, being dragged to a scaffold . Her clothes dirty and her white hair close to dirt ash , her green eyes dull . He quickly made his way to the crowd of people, with the recent girl who pushed past him . "Please don't kill her. " the little girl begged.
She even rubbed her hands together while kneeling, the chief of the region there just stared at her blankly and he waved his hand . Other men continued to drag the blind girl , "Do you know her ?" Theodore asked me but my mind was only chanting one thing. Stop them, pushing past people , I took off my hat, "Touch the girl and you die. " my voice cold . People gasped in shock from seeing me , "Your majesty the girl committed a crime. She kil-"
I twisted the mans neck . "Uncuff her now." I commanded and they did just that , he watched her kneel to his feet , sobbing . "Thank yyou ."she whispered , thanking him.
He had been searching for her , she rubbed his feet with her hands , "I owe my life to you. Thank you so much ."she muttered while sobbing .
He kneeled infront of her, pushing a few strands away from her pale face. "Do you have any family ?"he asked her and she shook her head , for a blind person her eyes were pure beautiful orbs." No , I've been alone since I was sixteen. I owe you my life ,master thank you . " she said ,he took her hands in his. "That's enough now. You're coming with me ."he said and helped her stand up, she walked in another direction but he grabbed her hand and guided her to the carriage Theodore fixed before they arrived here. The girl crying for her before bended many times in gratitude . "Take her too ."he told Theordore and like that two carriages were headed to the palace. In the carriage, Akia bowed her head ,"Do you not remember me ?"he said and she shook her head .
He made her look at him using his fingers on his chin. "Funny, what's the first thing you want to do when you regain your vision ?"he asked her and she thought for a while. "See my savior. The stars , I heard they were like twinkling words across galaxies. " she said smiling ,but she covered her mouth . "I'm sorry but I was in prison for weeks before you saved me , my hygiene is pretty bad. " she said and he chuckled ,just when he was ready to give up she showed up in his arms. "No worries, you'll get better care from now on . What did they put you in prison for ?"he asked her ,"They said that it killed a patient of mine using deadly mushrooms , truth is she died cause of internal bleeding from her husband. " she said looking outside the carriage, she felt wind in her hair.
"How did you know she had internal bleeding?"he asked her and she smiled , "I may not be able to see but I can still feel a soul when it's troubled and in danger. That soul was one of them, before humans pass to the after life thier souls are like lights in my sights. Believe it or not, your soul is quiet dark but I am not afraid of you. " she said smiling in the end ,her chapped lips and all. "You're a being of high power, and I'm just a mere healer who got casted aside by her very own patients and people. " she added , in silent thought. The Joeng clan had an ability like that but it never appeared again .
He watched her play with her fingers as the gushing wind in her hands turned into a brown leaf to only diminish into thin air after a few seconds.
