Keenan let his hand fall to his leg after he wiped the stain off her cheek. He didn't know why he did that. He was angry before she stepped in—he still was—but as soon as she walked in, all he thought about was how nicely she smelled.
He had ignored her on purpose. It was only two nights since they had arrived in Verlassen, and Vilhelm had already put his plans into motion. To think he let himself get distracted.
