Chapter 112 - CHAPTER 112

The previous Jinchūriki of the Three-Tails, Isobu, was the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi. Although Yagura was publicly known as the Mizukage who ruled Kirigakure, the truth was that he had fallen under the control of a Sharingan user. Under that manipulation, the Hidden Mist entered the era later known as the "Bloody Mist," causing countless tragedies throughout the village. Many shinobi became dissatisfied with Kirigakure's direction, and even some of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist eventually abandoned the village. In the end, Yagura also lost his life after being used as a pawn.

Before Yagura, Isobu had once been sealed inside Nohara Rin of Konoha.

She had been a teammate of Kakashi Hatake and Obito Uchiha.

During the Third Shinobi World War, Madara Uchiha manipulated events from the shadows through Obito. Taking advantage of Minato Namikaze's absence, Kirigakure forcibly sealed the Three-Tails into Rin and placed a special restriction on her body. Their plan was simple: once Rin returned to Konoha, Isobu would go berserk and destroy the village from within.

Realizing the truth, Rin made her decision.

Unable to remove the seal herself and unwilling to endanger Konoha, she deliberately threw herself into Kakashi's Chidori.

That scene became the turning point that drove Obito Uchiha into darkness.

Because of this series of schemes, Chinatsu had never considered recklessly charging into the Akatsuki base to eliminate Nagato. The people behind everything were far too good at manipulating others.

Inside the spiritual world, the enormous Isobu stared at Chinatsu with vigilance.

Although it had never personally cared much about its previous Jinchūriki, the experiences of Rin and Yagura were enough to make it deeply distrust any owner of those eyes.

"Who exactly are you? Are you connected to the people who controlled me before?!"

Isobu's voice rumbled through the spiritual world.

Its body was tense.

Isobu: I'm not scared... definitely not scared...

To Chinatsu, however, Isobu looked like a giant turtle whose shell spikes had all stood up in alarm.

Chinatsu sighed helplessly.

Tailed Beasts were chakra lifeforms. Even if their bodies died, they would eventually reform.

Threatening one with death was almost meaningless.

She had already been as friendly as possible.

Yet Isobu was still acting like this.

Do I really have to use Talk-no-Jutsu?

But I'm terrible at that...

Hmm...

Should I try it once?

Chinatsu coughed twice and adjusted her posture.

Naruto Mode: Activated!

"Actually, Isobu, I don't just know your name."

"I know all of your names."

"The One-Tail Shukaku."

"The Two-Tails Matatabi."

"The Three-Tails Isobu."

"The Four-Tails Son Gokū."

"The Five-Tails Kokuō."

"The Six-Tails Saiken."

"The Seven-Tails Chōmei."

"The Eight-Tails Gyūki."

"And the Nine-Tails Kurama."

Chinatsu calmly listed every Tailed Beast by name.

Throughout the shinobi world, people usually referred to Tailed Beasts only by the number of tails they possessed.

Very few people knew even one of their true names.

Knowing all nine was almost impossible.

As expected, Isobu's expression changed immediately.

Its suspicion remained.

But confusion and shock had begun mixing into it.

"Isobu, have you ever heard of the Child of Prophecy?"

"What?! Are you claiming you're the Child of Prophecy?!"

"No, no, no!"

Chinatsu waved both hands frantically.

"Don't randomly put titles on me. The Child of Prophecy has blue eyes. Look at me. Do my eyes look blue?"

She pointed at her Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Isobu stared silently.

Red.

Very red.

And very dangerous.

"The Child of Prophecy isn't me."

"It's my little brother."

"I'm just helping him."

"Even if you don't believe me, I can tell you one thing."

"Very soon, two people will come here specifically to capture you."

"What?! Capture me?!"

Isobu's three tails immediately rose behind it.

The giant turtle nearly jumped.

"That's right."

"Capture you."

"And before you get any ideas, no, you probably can't beat them by yourself."

"They're both Akatsuki members."

"One uses explosive clay."

"The other is a puppet master."

"Separately they're troublesome."

"Together they're even worse."

Isobu lowered its head slightly.

"Then what should I do?"

Seeing the change in attitude, Chinatsu smiled gently.

A moment ago Isobu had looked like an angry turtle.

Now it looked like a giant turtle quietly listening to instructions.

Much better.

Chinatsu immediately explained her plan.

If she and Isobu cooperated, dealing with two Akatsuki members would become much easier.

Deidara and Sasori: Excuse us?

Half a day passed.

Hidden within the forest beside the lake, Chinatsu continuously complained about the humidity.

"Why are they so slow?"

"Do Akatsuki members travel on foot?"

"This place is sticky."

"Everything is sticky."

"I miss Konoha."

Finally, shortly before sunset, two figures appeared above the lake riding a giant clay bird.

Deidara and Sasori.

"Finally arrived."

Deidara stretched his shoulders.

"Let's finish this quickly. The climate here isn't suitable for my art, yeah."

Sasori glanced at him.

"Art that disappears in an instant is meaningless."

"True art is eternal."

A vein immediately appeared on Deidara's forehead.

"You want to fight again, huh?!"

Before the argument could escalate, the clay bird descended.

The two landed on the lake's surface.

Using chakra to stand on water was effortless for Akatsuki members.

"This should be the place."

Deidara looked across the lake.

"The Three-Tails should be somewhere below us. Let's get this over with."

Before he could finish speaking

BOOM!

The lake exploded.

A colossal figure emerged from beneath the water.

The sudden wave nearly swallowed both Akatsuki members.

Even Deidara and Sasori were forced to leap backward.

"What the hell?!"

Deidara looked upward.

The mountain-sized Isobu was already staring directly at them.

Without warning, one of its gigantic tails swept forward.

The air exploded.

Both Akatsuki members immediately used Body Flicker Technique to evade.

Even then, the resulting shockwave forced them backward across the water.

"We haven't even started attacking yet."

Sasori narrowed his eyes.

"And it's already attacking."

"Hmph."

Deidara grinned.

"Good."

"That's exactly what I wanted."

He reached for his explosive clay.

At the same moment

Isobu opened its mouth.

A massive sphere of black and white chakra rapidly condensed.

Deidara froze.

Sasori froze.

"Tailed Beast Bomb?"

"...Run."

The two reacted instantly.

The Tailed Beast Bomb shot forward.

BOOM!!!

The explosion swallowed part of the forest.

The ground trembled.

Trees vanished.

The sky itself seemed to shake.

Deidara rolled several times before stopping.

His clothes were torn.

His body was covered in injuries.

Yet his eyes shone brighter than ever.

"Beautiful!"

"This explosion!"

"This is art, yeah!"

Deidara leaped to his feet in excitement.

Just as he prepared to enthusiastically discuss artistic philosophy with Isobu

A merciless hand suddenly emerged from the darkness behind him.

It grabbed him directly by the throat.

Whoosh!

Before Deidara could react, he was dragged deep into the forest.

Deidara: Huh?!

Sasori: ...I knew something was wrong.
