The search for Tsunade was agonizing. She visited hundreds of casinos, but Chinatsu couldn't find Tsunade… or rather, she was everywhere, but nowhere to be found. Even when Chinatsu used Body Flicker Technique repeatedly across the Fire Country, the trail kept breaking like it had been deliberately erased.
Tsunade was a gambler, but lacked skill. She was known as a walking "cash drain" in casinos, and Chinatsu heard that exact complaint in almost every gambling hall she entered, usually followed by stories about a blonde woman smashing tables after losing.
But jokes aside, none of it was useful intelligence, and she still couldn't pinpoint Tsunade's location.
Frustrated, Chinatsu finally decided to buy information about Tsunade on the black market. For 200,000 yen, she successfully narrowed down Tsunade's search area from the entire Land of Fire to a specific region.
"It's expensive… no, I have to abandon the concept of money now. After all, I'll spend a lot of money on Kakuzu too. Instead of worrying about cost, I should focus on how to use capital to generate more value."
Chinatsu took a deep breath, her eyes sharpening with calculation. In her previous life, she had been a hardcore anime fan attending conventions, even running circles of otaku analysis where power-scaling debates were treated like real economics.
In this life, she inherited the knowledge and intelligence of the Uchiha heiress line, her thinking far beyond ordinary ninja logic.
Before the Uchiha coffers run dry, she'll extract more profit streams. Earn more money. Revitalize the Uchiha!
Ahem, but Chinatsu admits she can only "revitalize" it; to truly restore the clan, she'll need Sasuke to carry the main lineage forward.
She could already imagine a generation of Uchiha children calling her "Auntie Chinatsu."
Not bad. Acceptable outcome.
Chinatsu remembered clan gatherings where she sat among elders whose names she couldn't even recall properly it was painfully awkward.
There were juniors, yes, but no need to interact with them meaningfully at the time.
Now all she had to do was wait for Sasuke to rebuild the Uchiha name, and she would become the most senior surviving authority in the clan hierarchy.
Holding the black-market intelligence scroll, Chinatsu grinned foolishly while moving forward. A beautiful plan still distant, but structurally sound.
To realize this dream… revolution is not yet complete, comrades must continue development.
She carefully stored the scroll, then repeatedly used Body Flicker Technique, her speed increasing each time. Compared to her older brother Shisui Uchiha, known as "Shisui of the Body Flicker," she thought idly that she might one day earn a similar nickname like "Body Flicker Chinatsu."
Quite some time had passed since she set off to find Tsunade. Meanwhile, Kakashi's team had already departed on their C-rank escort mission toward the Land of Waves.
In the original timeline, what appeared as a C-rank mission was actually a B-rank possibly A-rank in disguise because Zabuza Momochi of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist was the real threat.
Before encountering Zabuza…
Sasuke: Lightning Release: Black Lightning Black Flash Strike!
Naruto: Rasengan!!!
The mist hidden ninja ambush units along the route were effortlessly overwhelmed. The bridge builder client stood frozen in disbelief, thinking Konoha genin were now monsters in human form.
Kakashi, however, narrowed his eyes at the client like he could kill him with a glare alone. "Explain yourself. You called this C-rank? Why are Mist Village chūnin-level operatives here?"
After interrogation, it was confirmed: the mission was at least B-rank.
"Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura… what do you think?"
Kakashi left the decision to them. Naruto and Sasuke immediately agreed in unison: "We continue!" Sakura hesitated briefly, then raised her hand quietly she followed as well.
"Alright… but you'll be paid extra after this," Kakashi warned the client coldly, his tone sharper than usual. The client nodded rapidly in fear.
They advanced and then a massive sword suddenly flew through the air.
Executioner's Blade.
Kakashi's eyes narrowed instantly. "Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist…"
A man landed on the blade Momochi Zabuza, the Demon of the Mist.
"Copy Ninja Kakashi…"
Zabuza's gaze locked onto Kakashi alone. The others were irrelevant in his eyes.
"Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Technique."
Thick fog swallowed the battlefield instantly, visibility collapsing.
Zabuza smirked inside the mist. "Once I control the field, even Copy Ninja Kakashi dies here."
But before he could move
A red flash appeared inside the fog.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!!!"
Sasuke unleashed a massive flame burst without hesitation, instantly burning away the mist.
"What?!"
Zabuza's confidence cracked.
At that exact moment, Naruto already appeared beside him, chakra condensed.
"Rasengan!!!"
Zabuza blocked with his Executioner's Blade, but the impact sent him skidding violently back several meters.
For the first time, Zabuza's expression changed.
These weren't normal genin.
Kakashi exhaled slightly, almost relieved. "Don't misunderstand… this isn't normal Konoha genin level. Those two are… special cases. Raised by that woman…"
