Chapter 16 - “Whatever the case, welcome,”

A green glow surrounded her entire body as she floated in midair, the hem of her black slit dress fluttering lightly.

At first, she remained suspended there, dazed—clearly still processing the information the system had given her.

A moment later, Tatsumaki suddenly cried out, her face filled with disbelief.

"This… something like this actually exists? And it happened to me…?"

It was obvious—she found her arrival in this world utterly unimaginable.

Is wasn't slow to catch on. He could easily guess what she meant.

"Whatever the case, welcome," Is said with a faint smile. "Tatsumaki."

Tatsumaki gradually regained her composure and looked at him.

"Aurelius D. Virel Is."

Her tone sounded as if they had known each other for a long time.

Still, Is was quite pleased with her arrival.

After all, this meant another powerful combatant had joined his side.

He walked over to the table, sat down, and took a sip of the coffee a maid had prepared.

"Do you know Uchiha Madara?"

Tatsumaki dispelled her psychic power and descended to the ground, pacing lightly beside him.

"Uchiha Madara?"

She tilted her head, then shook it.

"No."

That answer cleared up Is's doubts.

The system had only given her basic knowledge of this world—and about him.

It hadn't mentioned anything about other summoned characters.

Seeing Is fall silent, Tatsumaki leaned closer.

"What's wrong?"

Is shook his head and gently pushed her forehead with his free hand, creating some distance.

"Nothing. Since you don't know him, I'll introduce you. He's like you—someone from another world."

"Whaaat?!"

Her reaction was immediate.

"There's someone else besides me?!"

"What, you thought you were the only one?"

As he spoke, Is headed toward the door—but then paused.

He turned back, went to his wardrobe, and took out a longer piece of clothing.

Then he tossed it toward her.

"Put this on. It'll work as a cloak."

After all, what she was wearing was a bit too revealing.

Tatsumaki caught it, hesitated briefly, then draped it over herself without protest.

Is gave her a once-over and nodded in approval.

"Looks good. Fits you well."

Tatsumaki puffed her cheeks and shot him a glance.

"Are you implying I'm short?"

"I didn't say that. You did."

"Hmph!"

With that, Is brought her along and introduced her to Madara and the maids.

Just like with Madara, he gave her a reminder to keep a low profile.

After all, her personality wasn't much different from Madara's—

One was domineering, the other proud and temperamental.

Two sides of the same coin.

The next day, still in Mary Geoise—

Inside a meeting room, the current Fleet Admiral of the Marines was in discussion with the highest authorities of the World Government—the Five Elders.

(As for Im, he remained behind the scenes.)

The meeting lasted about half an hour before concluding.

But the Fleet Admiral didn't leave.

"Oh? Do you have something else to say?" one of the elders asked—a man in a black suit, with curly white hair and a full beard.

The other four elders remained silent, their gazes fixed on him.

The Fleet Admiral smiled faintly and took out a stack of documents.

"I know this might be a bit presumptuous… but I still have to ask."

As he spoke, he placed the documents on the table.

All five elders looked down at them.

"What is this?"

"Information on a certain Celestial Dragon."

The moment he said that, the expressions of the Five Elders changed noticeably.

"You've overstepped."

One of them spoke coldly.

"If I'm not mistaken… he's someone you've been cultivating, isn't he?"

That caught them slightly off guard.

They had assumed he was going to report some misconduct.

But his words hinted at something else entirely.

"Why would you say that?"

One elder spoke up, while another closer to the table picked up the documents and began reading.

Seeing their reaction, the Fleet Admiral dismissed his earlier assumption.

It was now clear—

Aurelius D. Virel Is was not someone trained by the Five Elders.

Based on Is's behavior, he had initially seemed similar to their style.

"Aurelius D. Virel Is… what has he done?" the elder reading the file asked.

The Fleet Admiral grinned.

"Am I overstepping? Talking about a Celestial Dragon like this?"

"Stop stalling. We're all busy."

"He's a Celestial Dragon with combat ability. That's all I know. At first, I thought he was one of yours—but clearly, that's not the case."

With that, the Fleet Admiral turned and left the room without another word.

The Five Elders exchanged glances.

"A Celestial Dragon with combat ability? I have no recollection of anyone named Aurelius D. Virel Is."

"That makes me curious. Since we have some time… let's meet this so-called 'combat-capable' Celestial Dragon."
