Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Hidden Secrets

After leaving the library, Sol followed a hidden corridor deep inside the mansion.

At the end of the hallway stood a large metal door covered with ancient carvings.

This was the family treasury.

The place where generations of the Rathana family had stored their wealth, techniques, and treasures.

Sol took a slow breath before pushing the heavy door open.

Grrrr…

The door moved slowly.

A cold air rushed out from inside.

The room was massive.

Weapons of different kinds rested on racks across the walls—swords, spears, daggers, and even heavy battle axes. Some looked ordinary, while others emitted faint pressure.

Nearby were several jade bottles neatly arranged inside wooden cabinets.

"Medicine pills… herbs…"

Sol recognized them immediately from the books he had read earlier.

Some rare herbs were even sealed inside crystal boxes to preserve their energy.

There were also monster cores, strange stones, scrolls, and many unknown materials scattered throughout the treasury.

But Sol only glanced at them briefly.

His real target—

Was knowledge.

Toward the back of the treasury stood several old bookshelves.

Some books looked new and carefully maintained.

Others were old, dusty, and worn with time.

Sol's eyes lit up.

Without hesitation, he walked directly toward the books.

"Weapons and treasures can wait," he muttered.

"Knowledge comes first."

He picked up the first book and opened it.

At first, everything seemed normal.

But then—

A strange feeling spread through his mind.

His thoughts became incredibly clear.

The words on the pages seemed to flow directly into his brain.

One page.

Two pages.

Ten pages.

In less than a minute—

He had completely finished reading the thick book.

Sol froze.

"…What?"

Shock appeared on his face.

He lowered his head and looked at the book again.

He remembered every single word perfectly.

Not only that—

He completely understood its contents.

His breathing quickened slightly.

"This…"

"It must be the Comprehension Rune."

Excitement flashed in his eyes.

Without wasting time, he grabbed another book.

Then another.

And another.

Half an hour passed quickly.

During that short time, Sol had already read through the entire bookshelf.

And more terrifyingly—

He had fully comprehended them.

His mind rapidly organized all the information.

After sorting through everything, Sol discovered something shocking.

There were seven martial arts manuals stored inside the treasury.

Among them—

Four techniques could cultivate up to the 7th Rank.

And three…

Could cultivate all the way to the 9th Rank.

Sol's pupils contracted.

"Ninth Rank martial arts?"

He immediately remembered the information he had learned earlier.

In this entire region—

Not only this town, but even the surrounding ten cities—

Very few forces possessed martial arts above the 7th Rank.

Most families only had techniques reaching the 6th or 7th Rank.

Even powerful city lords treasured such techniques like priceless artifacts.

Yet here—

Inside the Rathana family treasury—

There were actually three martial arts capable of reaching the 9th Rank.

"This doesn't make sense…"

Sol's expression slowly turned serious.

"If my family possesses resources like this…"

"Then why was Father only a Rank 7 warrior?"

His mind raced rapidly.

A family with multiple high-rank techniques should have produced far stronger experts.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

Sol slowly narrowed his eyes.

"Unless…"

"These techniques came from somewhere else."

Or perhaps—

They carried hidden conditions.

Secrets.

Restrictions.

Danger.

The more he thought about it, the stranger everything became.

Why would such precious manuals remain hidden inside a small-town treasury?

Why had nobody used them?

And most importantly—

Why did the previous Sol know nothing about them?

Silence filled the treasury room.

The atmosphere suddenly felt heavier.

Sol slowly looked around once more.

This time—

With far greater vigilance.

Every shelf.

Every corner.

Every shadow.

His instincts told him something important was hidden here.

Something connected to his family's past.

Something dangerous.

He walked deeper into the treasury, carefully observing the old shelves.

Then—

His gaze stopped.

In the darkest corner of the room—

Behind several dusty boxes—

He noticed a strange symbol carved into the wall.

A symbol a Patten he focus on it suddenly rune in his mind started glowing.
