"Get out, Lucas Grant! I need to get changed!" Nina yelled from the doorway, her hands flying to her hips as she glared at the man sprawling across her queen-sized mattress like he owned the entire building.
Lucas didn't even flinch. He rested his hands casually behind his head, his dark eyes fixed straight on her flustered face, a slow, utterly infuriating smirk playing on his lips.
The audacity of him, lounging there as if her bedroom were an extension of his penthouse, made her fingers twitch with the urge to throw something. "You can do it right here."
Nina gasped, her jaw dropping so low it nearly hit her collarbone. Heat crept up her neck, and she wasn't entirely sure if it stemmed from outrage or something far more traitorous. She hated that her body couldn't seem to decide which reaction to commit to. "What do you mean?!"
"You heard me," Lucas said smoothly, his voice scraping low and lazy over her nerves. "I am your fiancé, princess."
