Back at the dinner table, Lucas rubbed his temple, feeling the familiar onset of a tension headache.
"You mean the woman who tried to seduce me in my office?" he asked, his voice carefully measured.
Bianca waved her hand dismissively, as if brushing away an inconvenient fly. "Oh please, she was just being friendly," she said with an airy laugh.
Lucas stared at her, wondering if they had witnessed the same encounter. The memory of that particular disaster still made him uncomfortable, the woman had practically cornered him against his desk.
"Friendly?" he repeated, his tone flat.
Sebastian laughed into his wine glass, clearly enjoying the exchange from his safe position as observer.
