Chapter 11 - Not What I Expected...

After pressing the Random button, I watched as a new entry appeared on the list of androids. Its name flashed white for a moment before slowly settling, letting me read it properly.

"...Randomized Attack Model AX-059655?"

The format was probably the detected "type" followed by a seed number. Still, an attack model—should be perfect, since Android Meister doesn't have much in the way of direct combat ability.

It should have good synergy with the flag too, at least for now.

"Woah...! I've got new skills!"

Beside me, Miyabi gasped in surprise. I wasn't sure what class she'd chosen, but it had to be something sword-based. Even in my past life, she'd been a Samurai, after all.

"Alright, this should be good enough." I said to her. "Let's stop here and rest, then head back to those goblins to wipe them out!"

We were a few hundred meters back into the forest by now.

Hidden by the foliage, we couldn't see the goblin cave—but by the same token, we should be well outside the goblins' detection range. Perfect for a short rest and some strategizing.

"Alright!" Miyabi exclaimed, stomping hard to bring herself to a stop.

She quickly scanned the surroundings, checking for nearby monsters. I already knew there were none. I might've reverted to my old stats, but the experience and instincts I'd built up hadn't gone anywhere.

"So?" I turned to her. "What class did you pick?"

I already had a rough idea, given the chat bubbles erupting left and right around her. I couldn't read all of them, but they seemed mostly split into arguments about her class's rank.

"I got Shogun (UR)!"

"..."

Ah. That explained the split.

Shogun didn't exactly scream powerful. It sounded like a promoted Samurai job at best. But judging a class by its name alone would be a mistake.

"Skills?"

Miyabi waved her hand, tinkering with her system for a moment before answering. "I have... Iai Slash, Ruler's Dignity, and... Shukuchi?"

"Oh..."

My bad, Miyabi. I'd been quietly writing it off alongside some of her viewers. But hearing those skills changed things entirely. That wasn't a weak class—it was a fusion of powerful, lower rarity ones!

Iai Slash was standard Samurai fare—fast attack speed that scaled hard with STR, great for initiating.

Shukuchi was a Ninja movement skill. Its best quality was that it ignored stats entirely, covering a user-adjustable range on command. At level 1, it should reach up to 5 meters.

And Ruler's Dignity—a special skill exclusive to Ruling Classes, ones tied to classes with suffixes like King or Emperor. It amplified all of the user's stats based on their fame and prestige.

A class carrying skills from three different archetypes. Shogun was anything but weak.

"Nice, right? So what about you?"

I'd been lost in thought when Miyabi turned the question around.

"Mine? Android Meister (UR)." I said plainly. "Basically a summoner, but with robots."

"Ohh... So you do gacha to get your summons or something?"

"Close." I shrugged. "I build them first. With real money."

Miyabi's expression twisted immediately, the unspoken "why would you pick that" written all over her face.

"Whaaaat? Then you're done for. You don't have money... Should I lend you some?" She said.

I appreciated the thought, but I gave her a light chop on the head.

"Hey! I already built one with my own money! I'm not that broke!" I said. "In fact, I'll summon it right now as proof!"

It was my first time seeing the actual android too, so I was honestly a little excited. I pulled up my skills panel, tapped Summon, and selected the only android I had.

The next moment, as if my body was following a script, I opened my mouth and chanted.

"Come to my side, oh eternal follower!"

WHOOSH!

A powerful gust swept through the forest.

At the same time, a beam of light fell straight from the sky, striking the ground a meter away from me. It was bright enough to make me squint just to see through it.

Slowly, the light faded, leaving a single shadow behind—kneeling on the ground, head bowed toward me.

"Randomized Attack Model AX-059655, at your command, Master."

The voice was fluent and natural. Nothing like the robotic tone I'd been expecting.

And moreover...

"A... girl?"

This wasn't right.

From what I remembered, the Android Meister's robots in my past run had all looked unmistakably mechanical—like that certain Marveil hero who fights in a suit of armor. Not like this.

"Master?"

The android slowly raised her head.

Short silver hair, cut to just below the chin. Eyes the color of a clear midday sky. And a figure that was... decidedly not what I'd pictured when I heard the word "android."

She looked more like a humanoid cyborg than any robot I'd imagined!

"STOOOP!"

"Eh?!"

Miyabi shoved me aside and threw her arms around the android girl. "How much of a pervert are you?! You didn't even think to give her clothes?!" she roared, face flushed red.

[MoeLover: Damn it...! I'm definitely picking that class too. I'll build myself a whole harem of robot girls even if I have to sell everything I own...!]

[KakureKyonyuu: Damn... She's bigger than even my sister!]

[Hinata: Death to perverts! 💢]

[ButaYarou: Clank Clank! 💦]

One glance at the chat and it was obvious why Miyabi reacted that way. From my angle I could only see the android's face and shoulders, but from the side, she was basically exposed.

"Wait, I didn't design her like this!" I said, scrambling to defend myself. "It was random!"

"No excuses! Turn around!"

"..."

I was innocent.

Either way, since insisting too much would just make me look guiltier instead, I did as Miyabi said, turning away from my own summoned android. At the same time, I pulled up her status through the system panel.

"Hmm... So her stats scale off mine. 250% of my STR and AGI, 25% of everything else... Really is an attack build."

I couldn't just dump stats carelessly from here on out. Not that I'd planned to anyway. While looking around the panel, something else caught my eye.

"Oh—equipment panel."

Just like with my own character, I could equip the android directly. Armor, weapon, everything. I didn't waste time looking through the options.

The goblin drops had a few equipment types—I'd been ignoring them since they were too low-level to bother with for myself, but for the android, even something that low should at least do the job.

After a quick search, I found "Goblin's Top" and "Goblin's Waistcloth." Both equipped immediately, along with a "Goblin's Club" for a weapon.

"Oh, this is...!"

Miyabi's voice pitched up in surprise, so I assumed the equipment showed up on her end properly.

Good.

She mentioned it to me afterward, but apparently she'd cut the stream while trying to dress the android—blocking her viewers from watching.

She didn't really need to, since the video feed should have automatically filtered out anything explicit. Though I suppose an android didn't trigger the same filter. Female model or not, she was still a robot.

"Alright, you can look now!" Miyabi announced cheerfully.

I turned around and looked at the android and—gulped.

The goblin top was something like a one-shoulder tank top, but it was far too small for her, leaving almost half her undeboob exposed. The waistcloth was in a similar state—too short to function as anything resembling a skirt, to the point where even a slight movement might reveal everything beneath it.

Paired with the wooden club, she looked like she was doing a primitive—no, a caveman cosplay.

"Master, your command."

Same as before, flat and waiting. Her voice was natural in tone, but completely devoid of emotion.

"Ah—right. For now, follow me." I said, then turned to Miyabi. "FleetingCloud, we've rested long enough. Let's head back to the goblin cave!"

Our SP had fully recovered. Miyabi's mental fatigue after a long fight should've been resolved too. Dragging our feet any longer would just be wasteful.

Even without any formal planning, with our new classes and skills, we'd probably end up running the same formation anyway. The android would simply slot in as an extra attacker.

"Okay!"

Miyabi was already moving before I finished speaking, heading back toward the goblins with a little skip in her step. She really wanted that boss's head, didn't she?

I turned to the android to call her along, then paused.

"Randomized Attack Mo... That's too long." I scratched the back of my head. "I'm shortening it. You're Ram from now on. Got it?"

"Yes, Master." Ram nodded. "From now on, I shall be called by the designation: Ram."

"..."

Her AI was surprisingly flexible.

I just hoped her combat skills were up to par.
