Chapter 7 - Decision

Kang Ha-joon's voice echoed coldly through the air, reaching Go-hwan through telepathy.

"I found you, bastard."

Something was wrong.

Rainbow… wasn't supposed to be here.

Then why was it present? And more importantly—how?

Before anyone could react, Kang Ha-joon moved.

Without wasting a single second, he grabbed Anha by the collar and slammed her against the wall.

"Who the hell are you to tell me to leave this place?"

Anha struggled desperately, trying to pry his hand away. But it didn't take long for her to realize—

She was far too weak to compete with Kang Ha-joon.

Worse than that… she couldn't remember anything properly.

Inside her mind, panic spread like wildfire.

I went to sleep just fine last night… so why do I feel like this?

Why does it feel like… everything has changed?

Like my whole world was rewritten overnight…

For a brief moment, Ha-joon seemed distracted.

That was her chance.

Summoning every ounce of strength, Anha broke free and dashed into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind her.

"If you come any closer, I'll kill you!" she shouted.

But the moment her eyes met the mirror—

Her entire world flipped upside down.

"Who…? And how…? How did I end up like this…?"

"This… whose body is this…?"

"Why am I inside it…?!"

Her scream echoed through the room—filled with fear, confusion, and disbelief.

Outside, Kang Ha-joon frowned.

He didn't fully understand what had just happened—but one thing was clear.

Anha needed help.

However, if he left now, Rainbow would escape for sure.

"I'm not letting you go. No matter what happens," Ha-joon said coldly.

Rainbow clicked its tongue in annoyance.

"I already told you—I'm not going anywhere. I don't even have a place to go right now. So stop acting like I'll run away."

"I don't trust you," Ha-joon replied instantly.

"You said I'd lose all my memories from the previous timeline. But right now, it feels like both timelines are mixed inside my head."

His eyes darkened.

"Today… no one will save you from death."

Rainbow sighed, clearly irritated.

"There was no mistake. Everything that happened was supposed to happen. It only went wrong before—but I fixed it."

Then it leaned closer, voice turning sharper.

"And you're blaming me?"

"Tell me something—if you had married that bastard… what kind of future do you think you'd have had?"

Ha-joon clenched his fist.

"I don't have time for this. Just answer my question."

"I already did," Rainbow replied calmly.

"There's some chaos, sure—but since you still have your previous memories, you already know what you need to do."

It paused—its tone growing heavier.

"If you truly care about Anha… then forget the past. Start over."

"Fix the mistakes that destroyed everything."

For the first time, its voice softened.

"If I had a second chance like you… I would never make the same mistakes again."

A brief silence followed.

"Now listen carefully. Help Anha. And leave this place as soon as possible."

"You might meet her again someday… but remember—"

"One decision from you will decide everything in this timeline."

"If you make even one wrong move… there won't be a second chance."

Ha-joon fell silent.

His mind was in chaos—and his body didn't feel right either.

His vision… was getting worse.

But one thing became clear.

If he truly wanted Anha to be safe—

He had to leave.

In the previous timeline, he had met his real parents… but he chose not to go with them.

Because of Anha.

That… had been his greatest mistake.

If he had gone with them, everything could have been different.

Everything.

Letting out a slow breath, he looked at Rainbow.

"I don't know what's waiting for me in the future… but thank you."

"I know what I have to do now."

He walked toward the bathroom and knocked.

"Why are you screaming so much? It's not like there's a tiger or a monster in there trying to eat you."

The door slowly creaked open—it wasn't even locked.

Inside, Anha stood in front of the mirror, her expression filled not with fear—

But confusion.

"Is this… a dream?" she whispered.

"How did I get here…?"

"I went to sleep normally last night… but now…"

"I don't even know what's real anymore."

Ha-joon smirked slightly.

"You talk too much."

"Tell me first—what exactly is wrong?"

"From what I see, you're exactly the same as before."

Then, with a teasing tone, he added—

"But if you want… a lot of things can change."

Anha narrowed her eyes.

She didn't fully understand—but something about him felt… off.

And she didn't have time for this nonsense.

"I told you—you can't stay here even for one more day."

"And yes… I'm grateful you helped me. But I don't want you here."

Her voice turned sharp.

"If I knew you were this kind of person… I would've taught you a lesson long ago."

Ha-joon blinked.

"…What?"

"You're crossing the line. Who are you calling shameless?"

Inside, though, he couldn't help but grin.

Messing with Anha is actually fun…

And… she really is beautiful.

"I say whatever I want," Anha snapped.

"And I don't have time. Get out. I don't even want to see your face."

"There are so many places in this world—why are you staying in my house? Don't you have any shame?"

Ha-joon laughed.

"Shame? Didn't you know? Men don't have that."

Then he leaned slightly closer, voice playful—

"But yeah… if I had another chance…"

"Someone might start calling me 'dad' pretty soon."

"Wha—?!"

He burst out laughing.

Meanwhile, Anha stood there—completely overwhelmed.

Nothing made sense.

Not her memories. Not her situation. And definitely not this man in front of her.

"You've crossed the limit!" she shouted.

"I'm warning you for the last time—leave!"

Realizing things might actually turn bad for him, Ha-joon stepped back.

The next moment—

SLAM!

The bathroom door shut again.

"Don't forget what you're supposed to do today!" Anha shouted from inside.

"If you're staying here, follow the rules!"

Her anger was blazing.

But she didn't have time to waste.

Quickly finishing her shower and getting ready, she stepped out—

Only to see Ha-joon sitting quietly with food.

Waiting.

Since today… was his turn to cook.

But then—

His expression froze.

"…What?"

Without a word, he threw a towel toward her.

"Looks like you forgot something."

Anha blinked in confusion.

Then—

She realized.

Her face turned red instantly.

"YOU BASTARD PERVERT—HOW DARE YOU LOOK?!"

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"
