Chapter 52 - In the middle

In the middle as Rena walked steadily toward Tina and Claire,

their expressions slowly changed.

Tina's gaze tensed first.

The magic book beside her moved on its own, and her left hand gripping her staff began to glow.

Meanwhile, Claire slowly shifted her body position, like someone about to pull the trigger of a bow to hunt something.

Both of them moved into battle-ready stances.

Then they simultaneously said to Rena.

Rena!!

Don't look behind you!

Hearing that, Rena turned her gaze anyway.

That's right… behind her!!!

Seeing that,

their eyes widened, and for the second time, they spoke sharply in unison.

…RENA!!!

Suddenly!!!!

A spray of blood appeared!!!

Unfortunately,

it wasn't Rena…

It wasn't Hero Claire…

It was…

Hero Tina!!!

The atmosphere changed instantly…

The sharp smell of blood.

A trauma for one of the heroes who had witnessed such a scene up close before.

That's right… Hero Claire…

Now Tina's blood splattered onto her face, and Hero Claire could only arch her brows upward, muttering with trembling lips.

Huh…..???...

Meanwhile, Rena now fully turned her face toward the back—where she had previously defeated the frog half-monster male, specifically at the rocky cliff of the forbidden forest.

Then Rena, confused, furrowed her brows.

Gone??

Where are they?!!!

The half-monsters, who had been silent and focused on Tina's body, then made small sounds as they lapped up Tina's blood.

crkkk…

Slurrpp!!

Hearing that, Rena finally turned her body toward the two heroes, who were not in a good state.

With an expression that couldn't decide between happiness or sadness at what was happening—because when Rena turned her face, she saw both heroes in a dire condition.

Hero Tina, surrounded by half-monsters.

Hero Claire, frozen in shock, her lips trembling.

Then, in that very quick moment, both Hero Claire and Tina reacted immediately!!!

Claire drew her bow hard—at a distance far too close to shoot…

But the magical energy she gathered in her bow was clearly massive.

Meanwhile, Rena ran straight toward the half-monsters like a sword user.

It was completely contradictory.

No chemistry.

Both Rena and Claire acted on instinct alone in that brief moment.

Both of them were now truly putting themselves in danger.

Suddenly, a wall of water appeared.

Rena, who had been running, lost her balance and stopped abruptly.

Hero Claire, who had fired, immediately halted her shot.

Meanwhile, the half-monsters that had been surrounding Tina could no longer approach her…

And sure enough…

A hummingbird half-monster male arrived… while beside him, the fish half-monster male that had been part of the group surrounding Tina suddenly stopped.

It was clear whose magic that was.

That's right—the magic of a half-monster male who was maintaining his body position like a mage using their spell.

Meanwhile, the hummingbird half-monster male, with his long, large beak covered in blood and bits of flesh from his body,

Then, easily and without much effort, the hummingbird half-monster male sat on the lap of the fish half-monster male, who was about to fly. And they were followed by the half-monsters that had surrounded Tina…

The giant chicken monster lifted its head again and walked following the hummingbird half-monster male.

The cockatrice slowly moved its scaly neck.

The black wolf opened its jaw wide, releasing hot steam mixed with blood.

The frog monster reinflated its transparent body.

The fish half-monster male with human legs was no longer using his legs on the ground. Instead, he was flying, carrying the hummingbird half-monster male with him.

All of this happened too fast…

Both Rena and Hero Claire couldn't react to what was happening.

Meanwhile, Hero Tina, who had been surrounded, just stood there in silence.

But one thing was clear… the three of them knew that half-monster males were still dangerous—especially since they had once been heroes.
