Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 "Savior" Ed

The itch in the territory has worsened and spread rapidly like a plague, with many villagers showing symptoms.

In addition, since the treatments were ineffective, many people suspected that they were possessed by demons. Some were praying, and some were preparing rituals.

While everyone was in a panic, the lord's document had already been posted on the bulletin board, and the butler Marcus was reading it aloud:

"All the sick people are gathered in one house. All their clothes and straw mats are thoroughly washed and boiled. No one is allowed to approach the sick people. Then the wise man Gisela will heal them."

People still trust their lord quite a bit and haven't panicked because of the quarantine. Since the lord said he would provide treatment, he must have a way to treat it.

...

"Sage Gisela, what is this yellow stuff? I feel much better these past few days, except it's still a bit itchy at night," Villager A asked Gisela, who was applying medicine, with some delight.

His eyes never left the yellow ointment, which showed his intense curiosity about it. This intense itching, which made him want to scratch his skin raw, had actually been cured by this yellow substance.

"This is an ointment invented by the lord. As for what it is, that's a secret for now." Sophia quickly answered his question, then glanced mischievously at Villager A.

Seeing this, the villager A from Sofia had no choice but to shut up.

"Ah! Lord, you're amazing! You cured Lord Andrew last time, and now you've cured us too," Villager B exclaimed.

"Yes! Lord C is truly our savior." Everyone agreed with Villager C's statement.

Especially Sophia, who had been taught how to make these ointments and how to treat the illnesses by the lord, and who had recorded these methods, understood Ed's abilities even better than the villagers.

There are those who approve and those who don't.

"No, Lord, you are not a 'savior,' you are merely a 'guide,'" said villager Ding with a profound and enigmatic air.

"What nonsense about 'guide'? He's just a'savior'! Where did you hear that from?" Someone was dissatisfied with villager Ding's statement and grabbed him, beating him up.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! I heard the lord whispering to himself. I heard it at the banquet that day," said villager Ding, feeling wronged.

"You dare to eavesdrop on the lord's conversation? Give him a good beating!"

Others also joined the battle.

Villager Ding was being beaten repeatedly! Ah! Ah!

Hehehe!

Sofia smiled happily as she watched the villagers playing around.

Nothing is more gratifying than a doctor curing a patient, and Ed's image gradually became clearer and more towering in the little girl's mind.

Somewhat uncontrollably, she drew Ed's likeness on the parchment.

Ed on the parchment looks taller, with a more benevolent face, and a more sacred and inviolable aura than the real Ed.

This painting perfectly portrays Ed as a'savior'.

Even Ed himself couldn't help but bow down when he saw it.

Sofia was still completely immersed in her own world.

The other villagers stared curiously at the parchment in the little girl's hand.

"Sofia, we should go," Gisela reminded the girl, who was lost in thought.

"Ah!" The parchment fell to the ground with a scream.

Only then did everyone see clearly what was drawn on the parchment:

The lord looked at them like a savior.

"It's so well drawn!" everyone exclaimed inwardly.

"ah!"

"ah!"

"ah!"

After expressing their feelings, everyone finally exclaimed in surprise.

"My lord, I want to build a statue for you!" shouted Ding, a villager who had been badly beaten.
