The towering pillar of magma stunned everyone present.
"T-This is…!"
"That's Lord Yoru's Kekkei Genkai!"
"Incredible! As expected of Lady Tsunade's disciple!"
"Could he already be stronger than Lady Tsunade? That was a Water Dragon Jutsu!"
…
The surviving logistics ninjas stared in shock.
Just moments ago, they had already accepted death—
Yet Yoru had descended like a god and annihilated every enemy.
"Amazing, Lord Yoru!" Nagasawa Takuma had now fully transformed into a bootlicker, switching his tone instantly. He hurried forward with a flattering grin. "As expected of the greatest genius graduate in history!"
"I really thought our supplies were done for—but with you here, Lord Yoru, everything turned around!"
"These Rain ninja were truly blind! If they'd known you were here, they wouldn't have dared attack us even with ten lives!"
Yoru watched as Nagasawa continued rambling, praising his "heroic figure" to absurd heights—
To the point where he was describing Yoru as unmatched in history, beyond even Madara Uchiha.
As for Hashirama Senju… Nagasawa didn't even dare mention him.
After all, as a loyal subordinate of the Senju clan, insulting Hashirama would be suicide—but Madara? Fair game.
"Alright, that's enough."
Yoru finally cut him off.
"Clean up the battlefield. Gather the supplies. We move immediately to Konoha's frontline camp."
"Yes! Lord Yoru!"
To his credit, Nagasawa wasn't completely useless. He quickly issued orders—inventory was checked, the battlefield cleared, and the unit regrouped before continuing toward the Land of Rain.
…
By dusk, the logistics team finally arrived at Konoha's war camp.
"Nagasawa Takuma, what took you so long?" a ninja asked, clearly familiar with him.
"Don't even ask," Nagasawa said bitterly. "We were ambushed by Rain ninja. If not for Lord Yoru, we'd all be dead."
"An ambush?!" the ninja exclaimed, shocked—before his gaze landed on the young figure at the front.
"So this is Lord Yoru… Lady Tsunade's disciple."
He immediately adjusted his tone.
"Lord Yoru, Lord Senju Senluo has already been informed of your arrival. He asked me to bring you to the main command tent."
"Got it," Yoru replied calmly. "Have someone lead the way."
"Yes, Lord Yoru! Oikawa Eiji, escort Lord Yoru!"
"Yes!"
A shorter ninja stepped forward respectfully.
"Please follow me, Lord Yoru."
"Lord Yoru, I'll handle the supply handover here," Nagasawa said with a bow. "Wishing you success in all battles."
"Thanks for your work," Yoru replied with a slight smile.
Then he followed Eiji toward the main command tent.
…
Main Command Tent
As the frontline commander of Konoha's advance forces, Senju Senluo was deep in thought.
The orders from Konoha frustrated him.
They were to proceed slowly—
Avoid large-scale battles—
Rely mainly on small squad operations.
This approach clearly favored the Rain ninja.
After all, this was their homeland.
They knew the terrain far better, and small-unit warfare gave them countless opportunities to pick off Konoha squads one by one.
Perhaps Konoha was wary of the other great villages—Sunagakure and Iwagakure—and didn't want to escalate too quickly.
But Senluo didn't care about that.
As a frontline commander, his priorities were simple:
Minimize casualties.
Win the war as quickly as possible.
"Lord Senju Senluo! Lord Yoru has arrived!" a voice called from outside.
"Oh? Yoru's here?"
For the first time, a smile appeared on Senluo's otherwise stern face.
"Send him in."
"Senluo-nii."
Yoru stepped inside, lifting the tent flap, smiling as he approached.
The two had met about a year ago.
Back then, Yoru had visited the Senju clan at Nawaki's invitation.
Nawaki had insisted on sparring with him—
Causing such a commotion that Senluo himself had come to investigate.
Since then, Senluo had held Yoru in high regard.
Not only was he Tsunade's disciple—
Not only was he Nawaki's sworn "big brother"—
But most importantly…
Ever since meeting Yoru—
Nawaki had become more disciplined.
More hardworking.
More like someone worthy of inheriting the Senju clan.
And that—
Was what made Senju Senluo value Yoru the most.
