Nirvana started the service softly and just rallied with him. The ball pinged over the table rhythmically. The speed kept going up, their hands moving faster and faster, always perfectly returning the ball.
Nirvana was making a statement by not moving an inch. Her center of gravity was low. She grinned as she adjusted her hand each time for a perfect return as if to spite Faust.
Faust responded by smashing the ball from the right down left with a bang. The ball turned into a white blur.
But Nirvana leaned over and picked the ball as it bounced under the table so perfectly it landed just on the edge of his table and had him jumping.
He couldn't return it, so the point was hers.
Their rapid-fire game attracted a lot of eyes. People gathered around the table, giving a good distance to not get in the way.
"They're so fast!"
"That smash sounded like a gunshot."
"How does she pick those so easily?"
"She's kinda hot, but those eyes aren't normal, are they?"
