Chapter 85 - Report 76- Blow Back

Every human on the planet stopped and shook uncontrollably as if they suddenly took a step into a raging blizzard. All of their senses heightened drastically, their hearts beat incredibly fast, their bodies tensed up, ready to fight or run. Most ran. They ran with all of their heart because they knew in their bones—in their very DNA of a predator was near.

But as they tried to run they felt the world was… unbalanced, tilted, crooked. Many died from fear. Many died from the pressure set upon them from this apex predator. Many who were already contemplating suicide pulled the trigger and left this world afraid.

All of this from Galahad taking a foot out of the grail, his skill as a Beast fully bloomed and automatically activated. The name of the skill is <>. Anything that feels or seems perfect is gone. The seemingly perfect perception of living on a planet, a round object but yet one does not feel gravity nor the nature of a sphere's surface—gone. Every creature now saw the world crooked, and they could never get used to it.

This extended to even reliable and common laws of fact that are immutable. The Earth's gravity began to fluctuate. Particles that were charged now began to lose few electrons… the laws that man have discovered have all for but a singular moment—a full second—were at that point false.

A part of Galahad's complex, alien brain stopped this as he did not wish to destroy the Earth, only humanity.

His appearances was rather simple. A black and blue attire similar to his hero attire with a his striking, long scarf that was a deep red that billows behind him. Growing from his head were his horns. The horns were fine, but heavy, branch-like blue horns that looked as threatening as a starved, rabid dog. Scales could be seen around his body with a long and slender blue tail behind him, swaying.

His eyes were incomprehensibly striking. Like he could see your fate at a mere glance.

Next to him was Mélusine, she had grown up to be the size and appearance of a adult woman in her mid-20s. She was the very embodiment of the word red. Her hair was a bright red with striking eyes like rubies, a slightly tanned skin like the sun kissed her lovingly to perfection. Her attire was like before but far more regal and striking with a flowing deep blue scarf to pair with Galahad.

Both of their aura's were enough to bring fear to anyone… standing before these two were three individuals.

Kischur in the middle, Type Earth on his right, and Aoko on his left. Kischur and Aoko look at Galahad with some fear in their eyes. Type Earth looked at him with pride. Yet for Aoko she felt, while staring at Galahad, rather… pathetic. A part of her burns with the desire—the drive to be like him. She felt scorn towards her gender, her hair, her age, her abilities, everything because she was not him.

She felt if she was not just like him she could not live with herself.

"Galahad." Kischur said.

"Kischur." Galahad replied. "I am now free."

"Yes." He nods. "You are the strongest species on this planet, an Ultimate."

"You say that, but I can feel another…" Galahad looks past them and off into the horizon, across the pacific. "My… they sure are a scary one."

"The Spider." Earth said. "Another Ultimate from the Oort Cloud."

"… That is why you helped me." He looked back at the three. "I can see its fate—the fate of this very planet. I am the one who is supposed to handle it."

"I am sorry, Galahad." Kischur got onto his knees and bowed his head. "For keeping this from you and… using you like a weapon."

Galahad's eyes didn't change. A sickening air of apathy covers him and the area around him. The only one who is full of warm emotion and is counteracting Galahad's aura was Mélusine.

"Gal." She said wrapping her tail around his. "What do you wanna do?"

Galahad let out a sigh, the dust within the cave is all blown out to the openings of the cavern leaving the cave, maybe since never, free of dust and dirt, only stone remains. His face ever so softens. How lovely they all thought see it form, like the finishing touches of a masterful sculpture.

"… This will be the last." His face swiftly turned to a stern one. "I am Galahad, Beast VIII, The Beast of Evolution, Type Humanity of the Milky Way. Today, I will follow one last order. But before I do that, I will slaughter as per my nature and my desire. All that America has built, I will destroy. All that benefited from America, I will destroy. All that gave birth to America, I will destroy the planets most arrogant nation—then I will destroy everything humanity has built, casting them back to the stone age."

He then seals away his skill <> fully, for he wants everyone to know exactly what is going to happen. Immediately Aoko felt like herself again, comfortable in her own skin.

"The path humanity is taking sickens me to my core, saved only by a literal miracle. To have produced a sin—an evil like me, it needs to be taught a lesson it will never forget. A lesson that will forever be sequenced in their DNA, carved into every cell of their body, felt in every bone."

He lifts his hand and the magnetic field of Earth started to be visible. As he clenches his hand into a fist the magnetic field grows stronger and stronger till finally it was compressed into his fist.

"They will look upon this day as a day of retribution. Yes…"

He then makes a terrifying, hollow smile, a smile that scratches outside the confines of their face, he broken the laws of the world to express how he truly feels. Even for the likes of Kischur, Type Earth, and Aoko were shaken by the sight. Truly a Beast that can inspire as much awe as they can horror.

"The day the child, in a world filled with monsters and boundless evil, steps forward to be a hero and save the Earth."

Mélusine floats over Galahad and wraps her arms around his neck and tail firmly around his. Galahad then says:

"Today, humanity faces the evil of their sins." He then opens his fist, and a powerful burst blanketed the planet shutting down each and every bit of technology on the planet. "Let me reintroduce the first primal fear of humanity, darkness, and then the second, predation. I will be humanities natural predator."

She picks him up and they disappeared leaving only one thing behind. Type Earth swiped her hands, and a barrier of air covers the three of them. Soon after the mountain gains another massive hole in it.

"Phew!" Aoko crouched down on her knees as she lets out a deep breath. "He is… scary."

"My time is nearing." Earth smiles with a faint blush. "By the next time I see the moon, I will already be by his side."

"Kischur, are you okay?"

Kischur was still on his knees with his head lifted.

"… Not really. Old age and the recent times has softened me. I never thought I would play a part in giving birth to a Beast of Humanity. You felt it when you saw him, Aoko."

Aoko nods.

"I felt… pathetic. It reminds of a time long ago before me and my sister hated each other. I came home from school showing my childish art work. Mom would put it on the fridge next to Touko's… it was day and night. Mines looked like scribbles and hers like Van Gohn himself painted it."

"That is his logos as Beast VIII, Reflection. Even I felt shameful when I look at them. Inadequate in myself." Earth added. "I will be off. I shall go to where my love is buried and rest beside them. Kischur, will you remain at your post in ensuring humanity survives?"

"Yes." He slowly gets up on his feet. "With this sin I have committed, I cannot rest. Not until what Galahad went through can never happen again."

"Blue Five?" Earth looked to Aoko.

"I think I will stay in Japan for a while, horde up on some stuff for when it all ends and humanity is back in the stone age—well I guess more in the stone age."

"Hmph. You're not going to help Kischur in his work? How typical. Easy to destroy but hard to create."

"Tch!" She sneers at Type Earth. "You're lucky you are losing your statues as a Ultimate One."

Earth let out a scoff before looking at the blunt woman.

"Goodbye, I think I'll miss your boorish personality, Aoko Aozaki." Earth made a smirk before she vanished leaving behind flower petals, she says one last thing towards Aoko, letting the wind carry them. "I will tell your student, Shiki Tohno, that you said hi and that you missed him. I'll see what I can do about the others, blue."

With that Aoko makes a small, painful smile with a few tears running down her face as she watched her disappear. Once again an old friend leaves her behind. But at least she will go on to greet her other friends.

"Tch…" She grits her teeth. She gets stands back up and turns from Kischur. "I'll see you around, Kischur. I'll help you after I settle things here in Japan… if it even still stands after Galahad gets here."

Two seconds after Galahad and Mélusine left they crossed the Pacific Ocean to the west coast. They travelled so fast they left a travel of annihilation behind. The force of their speed destroyed people near their path of flight, what remained was devoured by the coming tsunami.

By the fourth second upon arriving in the Americas a several mile cut could be seen from space from the west coast, from Oregon going all the way through the mid-west and towards to the east coast whereas the line began to curve up towards the nation's capital.

Galahad hangs onto Mélusine with his and her tail wrapped around one another. He looks down at the capital of the U.S.A.

He sneers at it. The heart of his homeland that made him a tool—a weapon of destruction. He shakes his head, his branch-like horns shed several branches, and they fall onto the earth.

The branch stab into the earth and form into imugi's with deep blue scales and similar horns like Galahad. They immediately, upon forming, began to kill.

Galahad kept shedding these branches until he had dropped twenty. Twenty was more than enough as these serpents were the epitome of spiteful, aggressive hunters.

A single one moves at their maximum speed of 100 mph with the strength to easily demolish reinforced buildings and the intelligence of a six year old child with the ability to learn. Not to mention their dense scales that give them high defense.

"Mélusine, can you go and destroy all the infrastructure of the states, their power first, then the roads and then the gas stations, and so on."

"It'll be done."

They let go of one another to go about their own actions. Mélusine immediately left to do as Galahad asked. Galahad fell to the earth, crashing, leaving an impact the size of a city block.

He walks up a slight hill to the Washington Monument, he placed his hand on it and then like a cat with a cup on the edge of a table, he pushed. The monument fell over and was destroyed.

Galahad looked towards the White House and anger bubbled in him.

"I wish I had drones, bombs, or a bunch of guns to make this more poignant…" Blue flames began to spill from his mouth, the flame didn't act like fire but like plasma. "But this will do. Fire power in the most literal sense"

All of D.C. was engulfed in blue flame. In that sea of flame only laughter could be heard as massive serpents began to leave and attack the surroundings. But there was more than the initial 20. Galahad was laughing so hard he was rocking his head back and forth.

The branches of his horn fell off and grew into more imugi's. By the time Mélusine arrived Galahad had a much better expression and mood. He was smiling with a genuine, sincere heart.

"Are you having fun, Gal?" Mélusine said from above having returned.

He looks to her and gives a slight nod.

"I am having the time of my life!" He even smiles so wide he shows teeth, like a child showing off to their mother something their proud of.

He holds out his hand out to her and says:

"Let's keep going!"

She made sure to keep that smile safely guarded in her mind so she can always return to it and feel joy. She holds her hands out and Galahad leaps. They grasp hands and then resume to destroy the world.

One region after other they all fell. Roads were broken, powerplants destroyed beyond repair, nuclear reactors blown up. Even the satellites were all thrown back to Earth in a shower of iron. Galahad also made sure to destroy every single capital of every nation and their most important buildings himself with his blue flames.

He made sure to not leave a single crumb of culture left. All was wiped from the earth. Not even libraries were safe. Each and everything that could hold information was destroyed. A total cultural liquidation. Humanity reset back to zero—no, to negative one.

When it was all said and done which took about seven minutes in total from when he reached the western coasts of the United States to when he arrived back before Kischur. Such was their speed that only these two could perform.

"It is done, Kischur." Galahad said with a wide smile. "I only have the Spider to deal with now."

Kischur nods.

"I am sorry, again."

"You have been a kind teacher. I know you will do good by your student."

"Before you leave."

Kischur reached into his clothes and handed Galahad a book, an old one. On it reads: Golden Sea of Trees Travelogue by Gran Cavallo.

"Gran Cavallo…? Great Horse?"

"This is information gathered by the Chaldea Security Organization on the Spider, ORT. It is a report put together by their Head of the Technology Development Division. Read it before you engage."

Galahad picks it up and nods.

"I'll do just that. Oh and the EMP will last only a few years. A little mercy from me to humanity."

With that he left.

"A small mercy he calls it." he sighs. "He returned humanity back to the stone age and he calls it a little mercy… Heh. I guess it is, in a way."
