Chapter 69 - Tengen VS Kenjaku

Tengen's Barrier suddenly shattered, and Tobaki was simultaneously blasted apart, with more than half of its body destroyed by a powerful force, sending it flying several meters to lie on the ground, already in a near-death state.

Its only remaining eye stared fixedly at Kenjaku, hoping Kenjaku would come over to help it.

Kenjaku, seemingly having anticipated this situation, walked expressionlessly to the side of the dying Tobaki, crouched down, poked its face, and sighed.

"Tengen's Barrier technique is quite decent. I didn't expect you to be done for just by dispelling this one Barrier. How useless."

After sighing, Kenjaku activated Cursed Spirit Manipulation, squeezing the incredulous Tobaki into a black bead and swallowing it.

Afterward, he walked into the Tombs of the Star Corridor with hands tucked away.

Tengen had sent out a distress signal the moment the Barrier was destroyed, but even if Yuki rushed back at full speed, it would take ten minutes.

Just as Tengen was wondering what to do, Kenjaku's voice sounded from behind.

"Tengen, an old friend has come to visit, aren't you happy? What kind of state is this you're in now? Half-human, half-Cursed Spirit? How is that any different from an incarnation? Won't those Jujutsu Sorcerers come to exorcise you? Hahahaha..."

Tengen said, "Kenjaku? We haven't seen each other in hundreds of years, have we? It seems you've been doing well lately."

Tengen wanted to stall Kenjaku for a while to buy some time, because she knew that although she could contend with ordinary Special Grade Cursed Spirits using her Barrier technique and Immortality, she had no ability to resist Kenjaku, who possessed a similar level of Barrier technique and had Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

She knew better than anyone that this body, due to a failed assimilation, had evolved to be closer to a Cursed Spirit. It would be perfectly controlled by Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

"Alright, enough small talk, let's get down to business."

"Domain Expansion: Womb Profusion!"

This time, the Cursed Technique Kenjaku added to his Domain was Cursed Spirit Manipulation. A massive number of Cursed Spirits poured out from the central pillar like a tide, roaring as they rushed toward Tengen, among which dozens of Special Grade Cursed Spirits simultaneously unleashed their Cursed Techniques at Tengen.

Tengen relied on her superb Barrier technique to neutralize the Guaranteed Hit effect of Kenjaku's Domain, and sealed one Special Grade Cursed Spirit after another into individual small Barriers.

As for the attacks from the Cursed Spirits, they had no effect on her, and even if her body was blasted apart, it would quickly recover under the powerful force of Immortality, gaining an even stronger body.

However, every time she recovered from an injury, Tengen's body became closer to that of a Cursed Spirit, and while she was busy dealing with the large number of Special Grade Cursed Spirits, Kenjaku had silently arrived at her side and punched a hole through her body.

"Immortality also requires recovery time, right, Tengen?"

Boom... Boom... Boom...

After a barrage of overwhelming attacks, Tengen's body became battered and broken. Although it was indeed constantly repairing itself, Kenjaku would not give her the chance.

Cursed Spirit Manipulation!

"I will make good use of your abilities, Tengen, sleep peacefully."

No matter how unwilling Tengen was, it was to no avail. Without the ability to fight back, she was squeezed into a bead by Kenjaku and caught in his hand.

Afterward, Kenjaku quickly left Jujutsu High and headed toward Shibuya Station.

Shibuya Station.

Satoru was not at a disadvantage at all while taking on four, but the five-way melee had already reduced the number of civilians in the station by a quarter, and Satoru was already considering whether to use Domain Expansion, no longer caring about the lives of these civilians, to quickly resolve the battle.

Boom!

Satoru punched Sukuna, sending him flying and smashing a subway train in half. Hanami and Mahito immediately followed up on Sukuna's fight and tangled with Satoru, while Dagon in the back, under the cover of the two, dispelled Domain Amplification and activated his Cursed Technique.

Death Swarm!

Strange piranhas swam through the air and lunged at Satoru, but apart from making Satoru throw a few extra punches, they had no effect. Instead, Satoru, having noticed that Dagon had dispelled Domain Amplification, also dispelled his own Domain Amplification.

Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!

A Red at minimum output shot straight toward Dagon, blasting it far away and slamming it against the inner wall of the Curtain, with an estimated dozen or so people killed or injured during its flight.

Seeing this, Sukuna couldn't help but mock, "Can you even be called a Jujutsu Sorcerer? Don't you need to protect these ants anymore?"

Satoru turned a deaf ear to Sukuna's taunts and continued his fierce attack on Dagon.

Having been caught and beaten by Satoru once when he hadn't used Domain Amplification, Dagon had learned his lesson. No matter how many openings Satoru exposed, he would no longer deactivate Domain Amplification.

The five of them tangled together again, evenly matched. Although Satoru's Cursed Technique was the strongest among the five, its advantage was nullified now that everyone was using Domain Amplification.

While his taijutsu skills were not bad, he was outnumbered, and could only fight to a draw against the four of them.

Suddenly, the sound of a subway train entering the station came from afar, drawing Satoru's attention.

'That's not right. No matter how useless those Higher-Ups are, they wouldn't possibly let the subway operate normally while Shibuya Station is enveloped by a Curtain.'

The Cursed Spirit side breathed a sigh of relief, for this was the prearranged signal. The train entering the station proved that Kenjaku had completed his task and returned to Shibuya.
