Keifer's POV
Every single muscle in my back, shoulders, and arms throbbed with a dull, angry ache. I blinked against the harsh morning light filtering through my bedroom curtains, groaning as I attempted to roll over.
My body felt less like it belonged to a healthy young man and more like it had been run over by a freight train, backed up, and run over again.
Then, the memories of last night came rushing back.
The forgotten keys. The window. The heavy blanket thrown over my head. The relentless barrage of punches, kicks, stomps, and—adding insult to injury—a decorative throw pillow wielded with surprising violence. My own family and the guests had absolutely demolished me under the assumption that I was a midnight burglar.
I gingerly pushed myself up to a sitting position, hissing as my ribs protested. Mom had patched up the worst of the bruises last night, but she hadn't spared me from her lecturing tone, repeatedly reminding me that sneaking through windows was a habit begging for a beating.
The only saving grace of the entire chaotic ordeal had been Jay's laughter. Hearing her laugh so completely, so genuinely, had done something strange to my chest. It had made the physical pain entirely worth it.
I stretched my arms carefully, changed into a comfortable shirt, and slowly limped out of my room.
The mansion was exceptionally quiet as I made my way down the grand staircase. The clock in the hall ticked softly, marking the early hour.
When I reached the bottom of the stairs and glanced toward the living room, my steps faltered.
Jay was there, but she wasn't resting peacefully. She was curled tightly into a small ball on the large couch, her knees pulled up toward her chest. Even from a distance, I could see the rigid tension in her frame.
I walked over softly, my bare feet making no sound on the hardwood floor. As I got closer, the details became clearer. Her eyes were shut tight, her brow furrowed in a deep, painful knot. She looked incredibly small, completely swallowed up by the vastness of the sofa.
I reached out and gently touched her shoulder. "Jay?" I murmured.
She flinched slightly, her eyes snapping open. The moment she recognized me, she tried to straighten her posture, forcing her body to uncurl as if trying to hide her vulnerability.
But she couldn't hide it completely. Her hands remained pressed firmly against her stomach, her fingers clutching her shirt. Her face was pale, and a light sweat beaded at her temples.
I sat down on the edge of the couch beside her, keeping a respectful distance but close enough to let her know I wasn't going anywhere.
"You're in a lot of pain," I stated flatly. It wasn't a question.
She didn't answer, merely biting her lower lip and looking away, still holding her stomach tightly. It aggravated me to see her like this—stubbornly carrying a burden of physical suffering as if she had to prove she could handle it alone.
Without saying another word, I stood up. I walked quickly to the kitchen, opening the pantry where I knew my mother kept the sweets. I retrieved a specific bar of high-quality dark chocolate.
Next, I hunted down an electric heating pad from the medical supply cabinet, plugged it in for a few moments until it radiated a deep, steady warmth, and carried both items back to the living room.
I stood before her and offered them.
Jay looked up at the chocolate bar and the warm pad, her eyes blinking in confusion. "What...?" she whispered, her voice tight and strained.
"Take it," I said, pushing them slightly closer to her hands. "You need it."
She looked at me for a long beat, her defenses seemingly wearing thin under the weight of her cramps. Finally, she nodded softly.
"Thank you," she mumbled, taking the items from me.
I sat back down beside her, leaning against the cushions. Jay unwrapped a piece of the dark chocolate and ate it slowly, but her hands were trembling so much from the pain that she couldn't properly position the heating pad against her abdomen. It kept slipping out of her grasp.
I watched her struggle for a few seconds before my instincts took over. "Let me," I said softly.
I reached out and carefully took the heating pad from her shaky fingers. She completely froze the moment my hands brushed against hers.
I could feel the sudden catch in her breath, her entire body going rigid as I slowly and gently pressed the warm pad against her stomach, holding it securely in place so she wouldn't have to exert any effort.
For a few tense seconds, neither of us moved. I kept my gaze steady, letting her adjust to the proximity.
Slowly, almost imperceptibly at first, the tension began to drain from her shoulders. The soothing heat must have done its job, because she let out a long, shaky sigh.
Then, she did something that made my heart skip a beat.
She leaned sideways. Her head moved closer until it gently came to rest against my shoulder. She didn't pull back. Instead, she seemed to anchor herself to me, letting her weight settle against my side as the warmth of the pad eased her cramps.
I didn't move an inch. I held my breath for a second, making sure I stayed completely still so she could remain comfortable. I didn't want to startle her or make her feel self-conscious. I just kept my arm steady, maintaining the pressure of the heating pad against her stomach.
As the minutes ticked by, her breathing slowed, becoming deep and rhythmic. She had fallen asleep right there, leaning entirely on me.
A profound sense of quiet satisfaction washed over me. Watching her peaceful, sleeping face, the steady warmth of the room, and the lingering exhaustion from my midnight beating finally caught up to me.
My own eyelids grew heavy, and soon enough, I drifted off to sleep right along with her.

Jane's POV
I walked down the stairs, stretching my arms and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Watson Mansion. After weeks of watching Jay suffer in silence, being in a home where people actually cared felt like a massive weight had been lifted from my shoulders.
As I entered the spacious kitchen, I saw Tita Serina standing near the counter, a freshly brewed cup of coffee in her hands.
"Good morning, Tita," I greeted her with a warm smile.
Tita Serina turned around, her face practically glowing. "Good morning, darling," she replied, her voice filled with an unmistakable brightness.
As I walked over to pour myself a cup of coffee, I noticed that Tita Serina wasn't just being her usual cheerful self—she was smiling continuously, staring out toward the open living room with a look of pure, maternal delight. Curious, I followed her line of sight.
The moment my eyes landed on the couch, I froze.
Jay was fast asleep, her face completely relaxed and free of the agonizing pain that usually haunted her mornings. But she wasn't alone. She was curled up tightly, leaning her entire upper body peacefully against Keifer.
Keifer was also sound asleep, his head resting slightly back against the sofa cushions, one of his large hands still gently holding a heating pad against Jay's stomach. They looked perfectly natural together, as if they belonged in that exact position.
My heart warmed instantly at the sight. A genuine sense of relief and happiness washed over me because I hadn't seen Jay sleep that deeply or that peacefully in such a very long time. She usually tossed and turned, groaning in her sleep from the cramps, but right now, she looked safe.
Tita Serina stepped closer to me, her voice dropping to a soft, conspiratorial whisper. "I saw Keifer sleeping this much peacefully after a long time," she murmured, her eyes shining with affection for her son.
I smiled, keeping my eyes on them. Seeing my sister cared for by someone else made me feel incredibly grateful. But as I watched them, a sudden pang of loneliness hit me.
I felt a deep ache in my own chest, wishing with all my heart that Yuri was here with me to share this beautiful, quiet moment.
I pulled out my phone from my pocket, unlocked it, and quickly typed out a short message to him: I miss you.
I hit send, a soft sigh escaping my lips.
Ding-dong!
The sudden, loud chime of the front doorbell shattered the morning silence. Tita Serina and I both blinked in surprise. Before we could even move, one of the house maids quickly walked across the foyer and opened the massive front door.
In an instant, sudden chaos filled the room. Loud voices, heavy footsteps, and familiar laughter burst through the entryway.
I looked up in absolute shock to see the entire Section E walking into the mansion, talking over one another and carrying their usual boisterous energy.
But the chaos lasted for only a fraction of a second.
The very moment the group rounded the corner and saw Jay and Keifer sleeping soundly together on the couch, the entire crowd froze mid-sentence. Every single one of them went completely silent, their mouths hanging open in a mixture of shock and sheer amusement.
Then, right on cue, the wide, mischievous grins broke out across their faces. The silent room practically vibrated with the urge to tease.
Before I could say anything, a familiar figure stepped out from the group.
Yuri walked right up to my side, a brilliant, knowing smirk on his lips. He leaned close to my ear, his voice a low, amused rumble. "So this was the reason you missed me."
I nodded, looking up at him, my cheeks warming slightly as I glanced back at the silent Section E crew who were still staring at the couch like they had won the lottery.
Yuri, ever the opportunist, took absolute advantage of my distracted state. He leaned down swiftly and peeked a quick, firm kiss right onto my lips.
I froze, a massive blush instantly exploding across my face. I swatted his arm playfully, whispering fiercely, "Shameless!"
Yuri didn't look remotely sorry. He just grinned widely, his eyes crinkling with pure affection as he wrapped an arm casually around my waist.

Yuri's POV
When my phone buzzed early in the morning, I wasn't expecting a text from Jane.
Reading those three words—I miss you—sent a sudden jolt of energy straight through me. I was already on my way to the Watson Mansion with the rest of the Section E squad because we had all found out that the girls were staying there, and since today was a school holiday, there was no way we were staying home. But getting that text made me want to move twice as fast.
The moment the maid opened the front door, our group burst inside like a traveling circus. We were loud, rowdy, and completely lacking a volume control button.
Drew and Felix were already bickering about something stupid, and the rest of us were just laughing along.
But the exact second we stepped into the main living area, the entire atmosphere changed.
There, right on the central sofa, was Keifer—our notoriously stiff, easily annoyed, and stoic friend—sound asleep with Jay leaning completely against him. He was holding a heating pad over her, acting like the most attentive guardian regular society had ever seen. Jay looked like a tiny, peaceful angel tucked against his side.
The entire Section E froze instantly. It was like someone had hit a universal pause button on a room full of toddlers. The sheer, unadulterated comedy of the situation hit us all at once.
The loud arguments died instantly, replaced by a collective, wicked grin that spread across every single guy's face. We had just stumbled upon gold.
I immediately spotted Jane standing by the kitchen counter with Tita Serina. Walking over to her, I couldn't resist teasing her about the perfectly timed text she had sent me just moments prior.
"So this was the reason you missed me," I murmured close to her, watching her eyes wide with a mix of entertainment and mild panic over our chaotic friends.
She just nodded, looking helplessly at the guys. She looked so beautiful standing there in the morning light, her face soft and welcoming, that I couldn't help myself.
While everyone else was completely fixated on the sleeping couple on the couch, I leaned down and caught her completely off guard, pressing a quick kiss to her lips.
Jane went rigid, a brilliant, rosy blush spreading beautifully across her cheeks. "Shameless!" she hissed under her breath, giving me a light swat.
I just grinned, refusing to let her go. This morning was already turning out to be a spectacular holiday.

Jay's POV
A sudden shift in the ambient noise around me began to pull me out of my deep, comfortable sleep.
I felt a steady, comforting warmth radiating against my stomach, and the heavy, sharp pain that usually made my mornings a living hell had subsided into a dull, manageable ache. I felt incredibly safe, resting against a solid, warm surface that smelled faintly of clean laundry and cedar wood.
But the whispers and stifled chuckles nearby were getting louder.
Slowly, I opened my eyes.
The moment my vision cleared, I froze entirely.
The entire Section E was standing in a semi-circle right in front of the couch, every single one of them wearing a massive, identical grin that screamed trouble. Cin,Eren, Blaster, Rory,Edrix,Drew, Felix, and the rest of the boys were practically vibrating with excitement.
The absolute horror of the situation crashed over me as I realized exactly where I was resting. My head was placed squarely on Keifer's shoulder, and his arm was wrapped slightly around my side to hold a heating pad against me.
The moment they saw my eyes open, Cin stepped forward, his grin widening to impossible proportions. "Look who is awake," he announced loudly, his voice dripping with mock ceremony.
Felix immediately jumped in, raising his eyebrows suggestively. "Husband and wife," he sang out, causing a few of the other guys to stifle loud snorts of laughter.
I looked past them in a panic, hoping for a savior, but even Tita Serina and my own sister, Jane, were standing by the kitchen counter, completely laughing along with the spectacle. My face burned with an intense, uncontrollable heat.
Beside me, the sudden noise finally woke Keifer.
He didn't startle or jump back like I expected him to. Instead, he slowly blinked his eyes open, looked around at the grinning crowd of our classmates, and remained completely constant. His expression didn't change at all. Instead of panicking, a slow, confident smirk played on his lips.
"Ohhh!" the guys cheered collectively, throwing their hands up at his lack of shame.
Keifer casually shifted his posture, looking right at the rowdy group. "Good morning to you too," he said, his voice deep with lingering sleep but completely unbothered.
Embarrassed beyond words, I quickly and carefully scrambled up from the couch, trying to escape the intense spotlight. I practically bolted across the room and threw my arms around Jane, hiding my burning face against her shoulder.
Jane didn't offer the immediate comfort I was hoping for. Instead, she wrapped her arms around me, her chest shaking with laughter as she began to tease me.
"I thought you don't need me now as you have Keifer," she whispered loudly enough for others to hear.
I hugged her even more tightly, burying my face deep into her sweater. "Nobody can take your place," I mumbled fiercely, my voice muffled but completely sincere.
Behind us, Keifer finally stood up from the couch, stretching his long limbs. He shot a warning glare at the guys, though the smirk was still hovering on his face.
"She was having cramps, so I just helped her," he explained smoothly, trying to shut down the wild theories.
But Section E wasn't having it. They were still relentlessly teasing him, making kissing noises and nudging each other's shoulders as the living room descended into a loud, joyful chaos.

Author's POV
Jay, unable to handle the non-stop teasing for another second, gave Jane one last tight squeeze before quickly escaping down the hallway to take a much-needed hot shower, her face still a bright shade of crimson.
With Jay out of the room, the Section E boys finally began to settle down, scattering themselves across the luxurious armchairs and couches of the Watson Mansion.
Keifer, still feeling the aches and pains from his midnight beating, rubbed the back of his neck and looked at the crowd of uninvited guests.
"Why are you all here?" Keifer asked, his tone dry but devoid of any real malice.
Yuri leaned back against a plush cushion, crossing his arms. "We heard Jay and Jane are staying here. And since today is a school holiday, we thought of checking on you guys."
"Yeah," Blaster added, grinning at Tita Serina. "And Tita agreed to let us stay."
Keifer's head snapped toward his mother, his expression a mix of disbelief and betrayal. "Mommmmm... Why?" he groaned softly.
Tita Serina just offered a sweet, innocent shrug, adjusting her apron. "They asked so sweetly, Keifer. How could I say no to such polite boys?"
Keifer muttered something under his breath about his friends being many things, but "polite" certainly wasn't one of them.
The group quickly fell into an easy, comfortable conversation, sharing stories from the previous night and laughing over Keifer's historic beating through the window.
As the chatter filled the bright living room, a sudden, repetitive sound cut through the voices. A phone sitting on the side table near the kitchen counter was ringing continuously, its screen flashing brightly.
Keiren, who was closest to the table, leaned over and picked up the device. He squinted at the screen, a look of profound confusion crossing his features.
"Ate Jane," Keiren called out loudly, holding the phone up toward her. "Someone named 'Baby' is calling Ate Jay. Who is he?"
The entire room went dead silent for the second time that morning. The Section E boys all looked at each other, their teasing grins instantly vanishing, replaced by sudden protective frowns.
Keifer's eyes narrowed dangerously, his posture stiffening as his gaze locked onto the ringing phone.
Jane, however, burst into a loud, bright fit of laughter upon seeing everyone's intense reaction.
She walked over and took the phone from Keiren's hand. "It's a 'he', not a 'she'," Jane clarified with an amused smirk, though her words only seemed to make the boys more confused.
Jane pressed the accept button and lifted the phone to her ear, speaking before the person on the other end could even say a word. "I'm not your baby," Jane said, her voice filled with affectionate banter. "She is taking a shower right now."
She listened to the voice on the other end for a brief moment, a brilliant idea suddenly striking her. Holding the phone slightly away from her face, Jane turned around to face the matriarch of the house.
"Tita, will you mind if we call one more person over?" Jane asked politely, her eyes sparkling with a hidden plan.
Tita Serina smiled warmly, waving her hand dismissively. "Of course not, baby. The more, the merrier. Invite whoever you like."
Jane grinned widely, bringing the phone back to her ear. "I'm sending you the address right now," she told the caller, her voice dropping to a thrilled whisper. "Arrive soon. And don't tell Jay yet—it's a total surprise for her."
She ended the call, leaving the entire living room full of curious teenagers wondering exactly who was about to walk through the front doors of the Watson Mansion.
