Chapter 114 - Quick and Easy

Cain chuckled at his enemy's weapons. The referee stepped forward, gripping the whistle. He glanced at the two fighters. Then, he blew the whistle and ran off. Cain smirked, accelerating his meteor hammer. Saul, on the other hand, grinned widely.

"That ain't going to do shit to me." He remarked.

Cain's smile faded.

"The hell you talking about?"

In that instant, Saul activated his attribute. The next moment, he vanished from sight. Viewless like the air, Saul had gone…invisible. Even his brass knuckles had disappeared from sight.

"Huh?" Cain blurted.

"Oh~ and Saul goes invisible like before. What will Cain do?" Mack spoke.

"Let us see…" Dante leaned forward.

In the arena, Cain stopped spinning his meteor hammer. Somewhere in the arena, Saul moved around, a grin on his face that couldn't be seen. But when, Cain stopped her weapons, his confidence turned to confusion.

'Why did he stop his meteor hammer…?

Cain pinched his nose, lowering his head. He sighed…heavily.

"This is disappointing."

"What?" Saul voice rang out from somewhere.

Just then, Dante and Mack laughed uncontrollably.

"My brother, he's disappointed – disappointed he is!" Dante gasped for air.

Mack slammed his fist on the table – utterly speechless. The crowd also couldn't contain their laughter and burst into it.

"Fuck you!" Saul shouted in anger from somewhere.

Cain shrugged his response off and began swinging his hammer.

'He's swinging his hammer…? Okay – okay, be prepared…' Saul moved quickly.

Cain rapidly sped up his spinning. Eventually, he released his hammer until it reached the edge of the stadium. Then, he pivoted on one leg and rotated it around the arena. With that, the chains crashed against a sightless figure. The meteor hammer curled around and bound Saul in place. Cain, then activated his attribute. He increased the weight of the weapon. The chains fell with the figure.

Then, Saul's attribute deactivated by itself. He grunted, trying to escape. Cain doubled the weight, causing him more pain.

"I think this is a loss for ya." Cain crouched beside him. "You're really unlucky, mate. You're ass only got in because the others used short-ranged weapons…"

He then, stood up.

"But I'm not like others."

He tilted his head around and waved at the referee. The referee paused for a moment before approaching Cain.

"This is immediate victory, isn't it, ref?" Cain stated.

"Uh…well, he can't fight so…" The referee scratched his head. "Yeah, this is the end."

"But I haven't given up yet!" Saul shouted. "I'm not even injured!"

Both, Cain and the referee locked eyes with the man.

"You want me to break your skeleton or something?" Cain inquired in a menacing tone.

"Yeah, man. Just give up, you're not winning in this position." The referee placed the whistle in his mouth.

Saul's face paled. He lowered his head and quietly accepted defeat. The referee walked away and blew the whistle.

"Instant K.O. Cain Rodrick wins!" He stated through the mic.

The audience burst into cheers and laughter. The commentators were also enjoying the moment.

"We needed this match." Dante wiped his tears.

"We need this one record…" Mack laughed.

After a good bit, all of them finally calmed down. Dante adjusted his glasses and spoke to the audience. The hologram switched to the next round, showing the teenagers that were about to fight next.

"Now…let's move on to the next match." Dante stated.

Hours later…

The round of sixteen of the Armed league rounded up after a few more matches. In the stands, Janus and Adam sat with ice cream they had bought previous. The enthusiasts of the tournament were quietly exiting, emptying the stadium. The commentators were also exiting their booths. Janus and Adam stood and headed off as well.

"What did you think about today?" Adam asked, licking his food.

"Nothing much…Cain's match was pretty funny though." Janus replied.

"Oh, yes…. That made my stomach hurt but…didn't you think anything of Taylors match?"

"She did do well. It was a close match but…Cain's match was definitely the highlight of today."

Then, the two headed down with the escalator.

"Right…tomorrow's a rest day, yeah?" Adam inquired.

"Yes, sir. The Quarter-finals start on…February 10th." Janus stated.

Both continued to chat as they headed down floors. Eventually, they touched the ground level and strolled into the lobby. Janus ate the cone of the finished ice cream. He wiped his mouth and glanced around. Just then, someone pushed him forward. Janus spun around and saw who it was.

"Sup." Taylor waved.

"Ah! Taylor!" Adam spread his arms. "Your match was amazing!"

"Thanks." Taylor smiled, nodding.

"Yeah, good match." Janus put his hands into his pockets. "Anyways, where were you?"

"I was getting checked up at the hospital. It's mandatory." Taylor replied.

"Okay." Janus replied.

Just then, a voice rang out from behind them.

"What are you doing here?"

The trio spun around. In their vision, approaching was a black ops enforcer with a two- star insignia on his chest. He hung a katana on his waits unlike the other black ops enforcer. He also, had a choking presence that made the three chaos incarnates sweat uncontrollably.

"Oh, we were just leaving, sir." Adam replied.

"Hurry up then…the stadium must be cleared by 4." Missio grunted.

"Yes, sir." Adam pulled his friends.

The trio exited the stadium as Missio trailed them with his eyes. When they were finally out of sight, he sighed. He rotated around and headed back to patrolling.

'What a hassle…'

As he walked down the halls of the stadium, the evening sun show through the glass. The marbles glimmered like diamonds. Missio lowered his head, watching his feet sync to the melody of a song playing in his head. He paused, thinking for a moment. Then, he drew a deep breath and kept walking. Eventually, he met his brother who greeted him warmly.

"What are you doing, my dear brother?" Dante inquired.
