The Octagram hall remained heavy with silence after Diablo finished his explanation.
Guy Crimson leaned back in his seat, a dark, knowing smile spreading across his face.
"So… that is why the Evil God chose to help Feng," he murmured. "A rejected soul, thrown away by the Goddess in front of all the heavens… exactly the kind of being he loves to nurture."
The other Demon Lords exchanged glances, each processing the ancient story in their own way. No one spoke for a long moment.
Finally, Guy stood up.
"That is enough for today. We have much to think about."
One by one, the Octagram members began to leave the hall, their figures vanishing into mist, shadows, or light as they returned to their own territories. The meeting had given them far more questions than answers, and the name "Luo Feng" now carried a much heavier weight than before.
Back in the Holy Kingdom of Elysium…
Life at The Healing Lantern inn had settled into a gentle, cautious rhythm.
Feng, Lina, Suki, and their newborn son spent their days together in quiet happiness. Lina recovered well from the birth and spent most of her time caring for the baby, while Suki proudly helped around the inn as the "big sister." Feng continued taking safe, low-risk quests from the guild to provide for the family, always returning before sunset.
They were happy… but they were also cautious.
Every day, Feng reminded them gently:
"Stay inside the inn. Do not go out alone. If anything feels strange, tell the innkeeper immediately."
Lina and Suki nodded obediently every time. They understood the danger of the four remaining heroes was still out there.
One morning, after breakfast, Feng kissed Lina on the forehead and ruffled Suki's hair.
"I'll be back before dark. Take care of Mom and your little brother, okay?"
Suki saluted playfully. "Yes, Dad!"
Lina smiled softly. "Come back safely."
Feng left for the guild to take another simple gathering quest.
Meanwhile, in a shadowed corner of the city, the four heroes had finally received the information they had been waiting for.
The golden-haired leader gathered the others in their hidden room.
"We have found out where he is staying," he said coldly. "The Healing Lantern inn. The woman has already given birth. They have a newborn son."
One of the other heroes grinned viciously. "Shall we take action tonight?"
The leader raised a hand.
"No. We wait for the perfect time. We will not rush and risk failure. When the moment is right… we strike."
They continued discussing their plans late into the night, carefully mapping out every detail of their revenge.
When night finally fell over the Holy Kingdom, everyone went to sleep.
In the quiet room at The Healing Lantern, Feng lay beside Lina with their son nestled safely between them. Suki slept soundly in her small bed nearby. The family rested peacefully, unaware that the danger they feared was already inside the city walls, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
