Chapter 86 - The heroes enter the gate

The next morning, Luo Feng woke up to the gentle sound of Suki's laughter downstairs and the soft breathing of Lina beside him. Their newborn son was sleeping peacefully in the small wooden cradle next to the bed.

He spent the morning as usual — helping Lina with the baby, eating breakfast together with Suki, and enjoying the quiet, warm family moments at the inn. Lina's face glowed with quiet happiness as she nursed their son, while Suki proudly helped the twins serve food to the guests. For the first time in a long while, Luo Feng felt a fragile sense of peace.

He lived happily with his new family in the Holy Kingdom, day by day.

He continued working at the Adventurers Guild, taking safe quests to support them. In the evenings, he would return to the inn, play with Suki, hold his son, and sit quietly with Lina, talking about small things or simply enjoying each other's presence. The pain of the past was still there, but it had become a little softer with time, buried under the warmth of this new life they were building together.

Meanwhile, far away on the road leading to the Holy Kingdom of Elysium…

After many long weeks of travel, the four remaining heroes and a small group of disguised elite soldiers finally reached the grand white gates of the Holy Kingdom.

They were stopped by the guards, who carefully inspected their documents and asked many questions. The heroes, dressed as ordinary travelers, answered calmly and politely. After a tense wait, the guards finally let them through.

Once inside the clean, peaceful streets of the holy city, the group quickly found a modest inn on the outskirts and rented two rooms for the night.

As soon as the door was closed and they were alone, the golden-haired leader gathered everyone around a small table. His eyes burned with cold hatred.

"We're finally here," he said in a low voice. "From tomorrow onward, we begin the real hunt. We will find Luo Feng, that bitch he calls his wife, and the little girl. We will not rush. We will watch, we will plan, and when the time is right… we will make him suffer."

The other heroes and soldiers nodded, their faces dark with anticipation.

One of the soldiers spoke up. "We should start by gathering information. Ask around the inns, the guild, the markets. Someone must have seen a man traveling with a pregnant woman and a child."

The leader smiled cruelly.

"Yes. We take our time. We make sure he has no escape. And when we strike… we make him watch everything."

They continued discussing their plans deep into the night — how to locate Feng, how to isolate his family, how to torture them slowly in front of him, and how to finally end his life in the most painful way possible.

Outside, the holy city slept peacefully under the protection of the God of Healing.

Inside the inn room, the seeds of revenge had taken root, slowly creeping closer and closer to the small, happy family that had no idea danger was already within the kingdom's walls.
