The only thing she could do in the dark cave where the entrance was partly covered with a huge rock was hold him closer and tighter to herself.
Her cheeks were already dried with tears from crying silently.
She could see his lips slowly turning white and pale..
"Kai... Please open your eyes." She managed to whisper one last time.
When she heard that familiar voice not too far from where she sat.
Her heart beats increased.
"Hey let's check over there?" She heard those whispered words.
Xu Kai who was barely conscious slowly opened his eyes.
Gently wrapping his hands around her waist tightly.
Deep breathes was the only sound he could manage to make at that moment.
"Shhh!!! They'll get us here."
Right at that moment Mr xu's assistant walked into the cave with worried filled in his eyes.
His eyes widened more when he saw the two on the floor both covered in dirt.
"Ma'am Cheng are you alright ?" He asked as he immediately rushed to their side.
Cheng Xiao was still struggling to speak meanwhile Xu Kai's assistant on the other hand had already used his phone.
"Call me a fuckin medic right this moment." He yelled into the phone.

<><><><>A FEW HOURS LATER<><><><>
They had already reached the hospital with Cheng Xiao still dressed in her costume.
She paced back and forth restlessly.
The assistant who tried to stay as calm as he could was already loosing it due to her walking around.
She was really freaking him out.
"Ma'am aren't you gonna change out of your costume.?" He asked making her stop as she looked down at her dress.
If she didn't look like a mad woman then she looked like those cave women.
Her dress was already caught up in all those dirt.
"Uhhhm.... Do you have anything I can change into." She asked softly.
This was so embarrassing, how could she even forget that wasn't properly dressed.
And worse of all she was fighting everything in her not to breakdown and faint right here she was so weak and tired.
The man simply sighed tiredly.
He was about to speak when suddenly the doors to the hospital ward busted open.
The doctor walked out.
"Doctor!!!" The assistant rushed towards the man as if his life depended on it.
"Please calm down..... Is there any family member of the patient present." The doctor asked with a calm smile.
The assistant was about to speak but then someone beat him to it.
"I'm his wife." She appeared right behind them walking elegantly as the daughter in law of the family.
Her eyes have a demeaning stare towards Cheng Xiao as if she was staring at a pauper or a lifeless soul.
"Don't try to steal someone else's man always...... Know your place you poverty stricken idiot ."
She whispered angrily before walking past her straight towards the doctor.
"Well ma'am....your husband seemed to have triggered his heart's rate.....this isn't good for someone like him...any strenuous exercise or movement could make him lose consciousness and worse may go into coma."
Eleanor simply nodded.
"Well.......some flies just pester him sometimes...can I see him." She asked.
"Yes ma'am right this way." The doctor opened the door for her to walk in.
Cheng witnessed the whole scene right in front of her with a sad smile.
She slowly turned walking away weakly at least she was sure he was okay.
"Ms Cheng I'll ask the driver to drop you off."
Although he worked for the family of his boss but for sure he knew that woman wasn't meant to be with the boss.
He would rather follow the footsteps of his boss even if he wasn't given any instructions.
"Ohhh it's okay....." She looked at the ward door again with another sad smile.
"Just make sure he's fine."
Just with those words she turned and walked away without looking back even worse.
She should be grateful after he saved her.
So she should have to stay but what right does she have to stay with a married man who's wife had already claimed her boundary.
She took a deep breath her eyes already glassy she those memories rushed towards her again.
It's been many years but for her it felt just like yesterday.
She had lost her father, her mother in coma, her siblings no where to be found.
She stepped into the elevator her eyes on the floor.
She remembered how he held her hands tightly running away from the crowd.
The look in his eyes.
And then the look of fear in his eyes when he fainted something she had never seen before in him.
Just with those little thoughts a tear rolled down her cheeks making her hurriedly wipe it off.
If she knew that this was what if would come to, she would have accepted him long ago.
She shouldn't have cared about that stupid call.
Maybe by now she would be his wife.
She would be the mother of his child.
Not that woman.
How could she be so stupid.
'Ding. ' The sound of the elevator brought her out of her thoughts.
She flinched a bit.
What was she even thinking about.
"I'm crazy." She muttered beneath her breath stepping out of the elevator.
Her head still kept down.
She just kept looking at the floor as she walked .
Was she really worthy of him? She thought to herself.
Because now if she were to start all over again she'd have to be ready to fight for him .
Her head was already full when suddenly she bumped into a hard chest.
The force was so hard that she almost fell backwards but then she felt an unfamiliar hand around her waist.
No one had ever touched her waist the way Xu Kai had.
This arms where rough, so rough that she could definitely swear it'll leave a bruise on her since the costume material was very light
Her eyes moved to the eyes of this stranger as she stared at him for with wide eyes.
"Are you okay." His deep soft voice sent a little chill down her spine.
She could only nod her head.
Who was he.?
His hair was perfectly combed backwards highlighting his strong facial features.
" Miss can you stand or did I hit anywhere delicate." His other hand gently going over her shoulders with a concerned look in his eyes.
"Uhhhm... It's fine..." She gently pushed him away.
"Ms.... Are you sure you're okay." He asked again as he saw her face already red .
"Excuse me..... I have to go now." She ignored his questions as she ran for the door.
His eyes followed her back his eyes capturing her petite figure.
"Pretty damsel..." He smiled .
With the heat in the moment he was ready to walk right behind her running after her ..
She was indeed very pretty and that soft body.
"Brother !!" He heard that annoying voice he hated the most.
He had heard that his sister's husband was injured of some sort.
And his father sent him here to check on the spoilt brat.
"What is it Eleanor!!"
