The multiple explosions that echoed throughout the village didn't only come from a single direction.
The first came from deeper within the village, probably at its center—or so Lu-el assumed.
The loudest, however, came from near the campsite that the participants of the Goddess's Trial were using.
"Isn't that from the direction of the north gate?" said one of the participants, pointing at the black smoke rising into the sky.
Then another one directed everyone's attention to the opposite direction.
"It's coming from the village's Beacon Tower."
"That girl really did it..." Lu-el muttered silently, an anxious expression painted all over his face.
Since it was most likely that Sera was involved in the attack, she was probably following the same tactic of destroying the Beacon Tower first to isolate Vale Village from sending distress signals to other villages and towns.
