Chapter 161 - Fourmungousaur VS Highbreed

Chapter 161: Fourmungousaur VS Highbreed

"Can you two take a breath and stop arguing for one second?"

"Shut up and fight!"

Gwen and Klein's voices overlapped, both entirely out of patience with Ben and Kevin's mid-brawl bickering.

Ahead of them, a screeching swarm of DNAliens flooded the corridor. Kevin didn't miss a beat; he dropped into a crouch, slapping his palms against the iron floor grates. A metallic sheen crawled up his arms, encasing his flesh in solid, heavy steel.

Beside him, Ben slammed his hand down on the Omnitrix dial. "Humungousaur!"

A brilliant flash of emerald light illuminated the dark mine, leaving a towering, armor-plated dinosaur in Ben's place.

Kevin and Humungousaur charged into the tide of DNAliens like wolves let loose in a sheep pen. Humungousaur swung a massive fist, sending three of the mutated creatures flying into the ceiling, while Kevin's steel-plated hooks shattered their masks on impact. It was an overwhelming display of brute force.

While the two meatheads cleared the room, Gwen glanced over her shoulder. She frowned. Klein wasn't watching the fight. His gaze was fixed intently on the dark, cavernous entrance leading deeper into the facility.

"Cousin?" Gwen asked, tilting her head. "Is something wrong?"

"Gwen, once those two are done playing with the DNAliens, drag them outside." Klein didn't bother explaining. He simply shook his head, turned on his heel, and sprinted straight toward the heavy blast doors.

"Filthy lower lifeform. How dare you track your mud into my vessel?!"

The voice was a grating, arrogant sneer. Standing in the center of the control room was a towering alien, easily four to five meters tall. Its body was stark white with pitch-black limbs, its arms hanging unnervingly lower than its knees. A crown of four crimson eyes glared down from a purple, insectoid face, mandibles twitching with absolute disgust as it turned to face Klein.

"Lower lifeform?" Klein stopped, a dry, amused smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "That's a new one. Usually, people are a bit more creative when they insult me."

He casually cracked his knuckles. "I was originally going to ask a few questions, but honestly? Trash like you is better off dead."

"Insolent vermin!" The Highbreed Commander roared, his chitinous armor clacking as he lunged forward. "You dare speak to a Highbreed Commander with such disrespect?!"

"Trash like you just needs to be put in the dirt," Klein replied, his voice deadpan. He didn't even blink as the massive alien charged. He casually raised his wrist and slapped the dial of the Another Omnitrix. "Fourmungousaur!"

A blinding flash of dark blue light erupted in the control room. When it faded, a colossal, four-armed dinosaur stood in Klein's place, rippling with absurd, terrifying muscle mass.

"An Omnitrix?!" The Highbreed Commander skidded to a halt, his four eyes widening. "Are you Ben Tennyson, or..."

A cold spike of dread pierced the Commander's arrogance. He had heard the reports.

Fourmungousaur didn't offer an answer. He just lowered his head and charged like a runaway freight train.

'Unable to converse. Unreasonable. Brutal.'The Commander's mind raced.'Alright, it's clear exactly who this is.'

This was a massive problem.

But the overwhelming pride of the Highbreed race refused to let him flee from a mere human. Gritting his teeth, the Commander braced his stance and met the charge head-on.

It was a catastrophic mistake.

Fourmungousaur's lower set of arms shot out, gripping the Highbreed Commander's wrists with vice-like, inescapable pressure. Simultaneously, his upper left hand slammed down onto the top of the alien's insectoid head, pinning him in place.

Then, the upper right fist pulled back.

CRACK.

The punch landed with the force of a cannonball. The Highbreed Commander's vision exploded into white static. His knees buckled, his grip going entirely slack as a sickening wave of dizziness washed over him.

Fourmungousaur didn't pause. Using the hand gripping the alien's skull, he violently shoved the Commander face-first into the metal floor. The deck plating buckled under the impact.

Shifting his grip, Fourmungousaur used his lower arms to pin the Commander's shoulders to the ground. His upper two fists raised high, then descended in a relentless, brutal drumbeat against the back of the Highbreed's head.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Curse... you..." The Highbreed Commander spat purple blood, his pride refusing to break. "Do not... underestimate... the Highbreed!"

With a desperate, agonizing surge of strength, the Commander brought his knees up and kicked out, planting both feet squarely into Fourmungousaur's chest.

The massive fusion was launched backward, flying over ten meters through the air before crashing through a solid steel bulkhead. The wall crumpled like tin foil, burying him in debris.

The Commander gasped for air, struggling to push himself up.

A low rumble echoed from the rubble. Fourmungousaur stepped out, casually brushing a slab of metal off his shoulder. He didn't have a single scratch on him. His dangerous, predatory gaze locked back onto the Highbreed.

For the first time in his life, the Highbreed Commander felt a cold knot of genuine intimidation form in his gut.

Without warning, Fourmungousaur crouched and launched himself into the air. He soared toward the ceiling, all four fists clenching together into a massive, unified hammer.

The Commander threw himself to the side just in time.

Fourmungousaur slammed into the deck. The impact was apocalyptic. A terrifying crater, tens of meters wide, instantly caved in the floor, obliterating the surrounding bulkheads. The sheer kinetic shockwave caught the Highbreed Commander mid-dive, sending him tumbling violently across the ruined room.

Before the alien could even hit the ground, Fourmungousaur rebounded. He closed the distance in mid-air, driving a devastating punch directly into the Commander's abdomen.

The Highbreed's body folded entirely in half, bending like a cooked shrimp around the massive fist.

He opened his mandibles to scream, but the air was violently forced from his lungs. Before he could make a sound, Fourmungousaur grabbed him by one arm and one leg.

Dangling helplessly, drowning in agony, the Commander finally understood why this particular Omnitrix wielder's reputation was so feared across the galaxy. Klein wasn't just a superhero. He was a brutal, overwhelming force of nature.

Fourmungousaur pivoted, winding up his entire body, and hurled the Highbreed Commander straight down.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Commander's body became a living wrecking ball. He crashed through layer after layer of the massive spaceship's reinforced hull, tearing through dozens of floors before finally blasting out the bottom of the vessel. He plummeted hundreds of meters down into the mine, slamming into the bedrock and carving out a crater over ten meters wide.

Outside the ship, Gwen, Ben, and Kevin had just emerged from the tunnels. They froze, staring at the massive dust cloud billowing from the fresh impact crater.

"We need to help him," Kevin said, cracking his steel knuckles.

"Cousin can handle it," Gwen replied, though she squinted through the dust.

"Yeah, but he didn't say we couldn't help, did he?" Ben grinned in his Humungousaur form.

Uncertain of the enemy's exact strength, and still slightly worried about Klein, the trio sprinted toward the crater.

At the bottom of the pit, the Highbreed Commander groaned. Every bone in his body felt shattered. He forced his trembling arms to push him up, only to see three more figures looming over the edge of the crater.

"Accursed... lower lifeforms!" he roared, spitting dirt.

Humungousaur blinked, looking down at him. "Hey, we didn't even hit you yet. Though, we are absolutely about to."

Without another word, Humungousaur vaulted into the pit. He landed squarely on the half-risen Commander, pinning him back into the dirt, and started throwing heavy, rhythmic haymakers.

Kevin slid down the slope right behind him. "Let me get in on this!" He began aggressively stomping and kicking at the Highbreed's long, awkward legs, delivering a very violent, metal-plated pedicure.

Despite his severe injuries, the Highbreed Commander's sheer, racist fury boiled over. "Do not underestimate the Highbreed!" he shrieked. With a sudden, explosive burst of adrenaline, he violently bucked his body, throwing Humungousaur off his back and sweeping his arm to knock Kevin away.

He staggered to his feet, panting heavily.

"You'd best lie down obediently!"

Gwen's voice echoed through the cavern. Her skin dissolved into a brilliant, blinding purple hue as she shifted into her Anodite form. The dark mine was instantly bathed in radiant magenta light. Terrifying waves of pure Mana flooded the air, locking onto the Highbreed Commander.

She raised her hands, and the ambient Mana condensed into a massive, heavy pillar of light that crashed down from the cavern ceiling. It slammed onto the Commander's shoulders, forcing him to his knees under the crushing gravitational pressure.

Covered in his own purple blood, pinned to the earth, the Commander realized it was over. He raised his head, using the absolute last ounce of his strength to scream into his wrist communicator.

"Activate the vessel! Purge all Earthling filth within a fifty-mile radius!"

It was his final, spiteful act of resistance.

"Oh no!" Gwen gasped, the Mana pillar flickering as she looked up.

"Stop the ship! Now!" Kevin yelled.

Gwen instantly took to the air, flying straight toward the massive spacecraft. Kevin and Humungousaur scrambled out of the crater, sprinting as fast as their heavy bodies could carry them.

But they were too late.

Deep within the ship's underbelly, the massive primary thrusters ignited. A blinding torrent of blue flame scorched the cavern floor, kicking up a hurricane of dust and debris as the colossal vessel began to slowly ascend like a rocket.

Then, inexplicably, the ship shuddered.

It stopped dead in mid-air, hovering just a few dozen meters off the ground, its thrusters screaming against an invisible anchor.

"What?!" Gwen circled around to the rear of the vessel, her glowing eyes widening in pure shock.

Standing at the base of the ship was Fourmungousaur. But he wasn't his normal size. using Humungousaur's growth ability, the fusion had expanded to a staggering thirty meters tall. His two upper hands were clamped fiercely onto the ship's exhaust vents, while his two lower hands were buried deep into the solid bedrock of the cavern wall behind him, acting as a living, breathing anchor.

A thirty-meter-tall, four-armed dinosaur physically holding back a hundreds-of-meters-long spaceship at full thrust. It was a sight that defied logic.

Veins bulged like steel cables across Fourmungousaur's massive neck. He gritted his teeth, the roar of the engines drowning out everything else. "A little help here?!" he bellowed.

"Ben! Throw me!" Kevin yelled, looking frantically at Humungousaur.

Humungousaur didn't hesitate. He grabbed Kevin's steel-plated body, wound up his arm, and pitched him toward the hovering ship like a fastball. "Gwen!"

Understanding the play instantly, Gwen raised her glowing right hand. A concentrated beam of purple Mana lanced through the air, blasting a jagged hole directly into the outer hull of the ship, right in Kevin's flight path.

Kevin sailed perfectly through the breach, crashing into the ship's interior.

He found himself in a narrow maintenance corridor, the walls lined with thick, pulsing energy conduits and fuel pipes. It was the ship's outer propulsion layer.

Exactly what he needed.

Kevin morphed his metallic hands into jagged, heavy blades. With a feral grunt, he started hacking wildly into the main conduits. Sparks showered the corridor as thick cables snapped, crackling with violent electrical surges.

Outside, the deafening roar of the thrusters suddenly sputtered. The blue flames choked, flickered, and died.

The ship lost all upward momentum. With a final, earth-shaking heave, Fourmungousaur ripped the vessel downward, slamming it hard against the cavern floor.

Inside the hull, Kevin didn't wait around for the crash. Still fully coated in solid steel, he leaped back out of the hole Gwen had blasted, plummeting to the ground and landing with a heavy, metallic thud, entirely unharmed.

With the ship grounded, Fourmungousaur finally let go of the hull and the rock wall. He rolled his massive shoulders, slowly shrinking back down to his normal size as he walked casually toward the crater where the Highbreed Commander lay.

A flash of dark blue light washed over him, and Fourmungousaur reverted back to Klein. He dusted off his jacket, looking completely unbothered.

The Highbreed Commander stared up at Klein from the dirt, his four eyes filled with a mixture of dread and bitter resignation. He let out a ragged sigh. "It truly is you. I concede. I am completely defeated."

Gwen, Kevin, and Ben jogged over, gathering around the crater.

A green flash illuminated the dark, and Humungousaur transformed back into Ben. He crossed his arms, looking down at the broken alien with a smug, triumphant grin. "Looks like your grand conspiracy is over, ugly."

Hearing this, a weak, mocking smile crept across the Highbreed Commander's mandibles.

"Conspiracy? You fools..." he wheezed. "This is merely a supply ship."

Ben's smug grin vanished instantly. "What?! A supply ship?!"
