Chapter 43 - “The Night Her Du’a Was Finally Answered”

It was past midnight. The world was asleep, but Zara wasn't.

She sat on the cold floor of her room, her back resting against the wall, her eyes swollen from crying. The silence around her felt heavy, almost suffocating.

Zara had always been the "strong girl." The one who smiled through pain, who helped others even when she was breaking inside. No one ever saw her tears… because she never let them.

But tonight was different.

Everything felt too much.

Her closest friend had betrayed her. The person she trusted the most had broken her heart. And her family… they didn't even realize what she was going through.

She felt invisible.

Alone.

Lost.

Zara slowly stood up and walked towards her prayer mat.

Her hands were shaking. Her heart was heavy.

She stood for prayer, but her voice kept breaking. Every word felt like it carried years of pain.

When she went into sujood, she couldn't hold it anymore.

Tears poured down like rain.

"Ya Allah…" she whispered, her voice trembling, "I'm so tired…"

"I smile every day, but You know the truth. You know how broken I am…"

Her tears soaked the prayer mat.

"I don't want to complain… I just want peace."

Days passed.

Nothing seemed to change.

The same pain. The same loneliness. The same silence.

Zara kept making du'a, but deep inside, a question started growing—

"Is Allah even listening?"

She hated that thought.

But it kept coming back.

One afternoon, while walking home, Zara noticed a small girl sitting by the roadside, crying.

She stopped.

"Why are you crying?" Zara asked gently.

The little girl looked up, tears in her eyes. "I'm lost… I can't find my mother…"

Zara's heart softened instantly.

She sat beside her, wiped her tears, and said, "Don't worry… I'm here."

For the next hour, Zara walked around, asking people, searching, comforting the little girl.

Finally, they found her mother.

The woman hugged her daughter tightly, tears of relief in her eyes.

"Thank you… thank you so much," she kept saying to Zara.

Zara smiled softly and walked away.

That night, something strange happened.

For the first time in weeks… Zara felt calm.

A deep, unexplainable peace filled her heart.

She couldn't understand why.

Nothing in her life had changed.

But something inside her had.

She stood for prayer again.

But this time, her du'a was different.

"Ya Allah… thank You for giving me a heart that still feels…"

"Even when I'm broken… You still use me to help others."

Tears rolled down her cheeks—but they weren't the same as before.

These tears felt lighter.

Weeks later, things slowly started changing.

Her family became more understanding.

New people entered her life—kind, supportive, real.

And the pain that once felt unbearable… started to fade.

Not completely.

But enough for her to breathe again.

One night, Zara sat by her window, looking at the sky.

She remembered that painful night… when she thought Allah wasn't listening.

She smiled softly and whispered,

"You were listening all along… weren't You?"

And in that moment, she realized something powerful—

Allah doesn't always change our situation immediately…

Sometimes, He changes our heart first.

🌟 Moral:

Not every du'a is answered the way we expect. Sometimes, Allah gives you peace before He gives you what you asked for.,
